About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 163ronaldl0 contributionsNice AccommodationsWalked down ramp to get only our Century Oasis cruise ship which was built in 2023. Our room was spacious with a king bed (very hard), four large pillows and a nice comforter. Had to put one bag on the chair and one on the floor. Nice desk with lamp and electrical outlets. An in-room safe and electric tea pot were provided. The bathroom was spacious with a nice walk-in shower with a door. We were near the bow of the ship. There were cabins on floors 2,3, &4 and suites on deck 5. Only one lounge on deck 4 aft and two areas to sit out aft on decks 6 & 7. Buffet style food served on decks 2,3, & was less than satisfactory. Most times the hot food was lukewarm, at best. Personnel on the ship were very nice but few knew any English. Conversation was mostly by Google Translate.Written January 9, 2025
- Alan W0 contributionsA place of 'Serenity'The cravings were amazing. I was lucky to go when there were very few people so got to look, read and findout from my tour guide the means of the carvings. A must visit place.Written January 5, 2025
- alanwG7297JG0 contributionsThe Three Bridges Last Stand. Autobots Roll outIn awe of the natural beauty. An amazing place to visit. My tour guide Lila helped explain the Three Bridges and showed me interesting visuals in the rock features. Also it was the Transformers Last Stand location.Written January 2, 2025
- MMS3130 contributionsMemorable experienceMy husband and I did the Yangtze River Cruise on the on the Century Glory and it was excellent. The room was large and comfortable, the scenery beautiful, and we (mostly) enjoyed the excursions. The cruise director ensured that we generally had English-speaking guides on the outings, and also made sure that I had fantastic vegetarian meals for lunch and dinner (breakfast was fine, and I should say that my husband thought the buffet was great).Written August 29, 2024
- oliverj1380 contributionsSpectacularAn unforgettable experience: a river cruise on the Yangtze River is a must for anyone traveling to China. Andy’s service was exceptional, with excellent communication and quick responses to every question. He took great care of us, ensuring we had a smooth and enjoyable journey. The breathtaking landscapes and historical landmarks we encountered made this trip truly memorableWritten August 6, 2024
- B9088EYlindsays0 contributionsBad. Don’t waste your time or money. My family of 4 including myself embarked on the 4 Day, 3 Night trip on the Victoria Jenna ship. Food: Luke-warm, sometimes cold, gross. Service: The waitstaff definitely tried their best but for a ship marketed as English & Mandarin, none of them spoke English. Announcements and the two river guides spoke Chinese and good-enough English. Rooms & Bathrooms: The rooms were not clean and upon arrival there was a giant tuft of hair on a chair which would’ve easily been spotted if the room was cleaned properly. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. They were dirty, moldy, musty, and rusty. The entire room is very old and needs updating. Day trips: The first day they took us to a fake temple site and had multiple guides yelling over each other in Chinese and English on their microphones so no one could hear anything. The second day was fine. The third day was horrendous-they canceled the ship lift over the dam and the dam tour we did have was so boring and pointless. The incessant screaming over the loudspeaker at all times of day and night preventing anyone from sleeping, relaxing, or simply not having someone yell at you in your room, in common spaces, and even outside on the deck at all times. We received so many LOUD ringing phone calls (the phone itself is already very loud but it rings in the bathroom as well, LOUDLY) at 6am, 10pm, and more for no reason at all—-usually followed by the (most likely) front desk just hanging up. Every trip was horribly crowded and no one was able to learn any of the information from the local guides because they all yelled over each other. My family and I were thrilled to get off this ship.Written May 23, 2024

- Robert L0 contributionsOnly 4 stars because we had to climb so many stepsWe traveled on Sabrina upstream starting on March 17. All upstream Victoria cruises start on Monday’s, We upgraded to a 6th floor cabin and VIP dining room for $2000 RMB or about $285. The room was supposedly a little larger, it’s very comfortable and much larger than my current Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay room. The only kicker was due to some height restrictions the elevators only go to fifth floor. We had to get a crew to carry our luggage up the stairs. For both dinning rooms seating is fixed. The VIP dining room is on the 6th floor, so very convenient for us. We have our own table and the foods are supposedly better. There’s a hot noodle bar where you can order a hot noodle soup bowl. We also paid about $85 to use a lounge on the 3rd floor where the staff will serve you fruits and small desserts such as apple or walnut pies. We used the lounge to take photos as the ship sails through a gorge unencumbered by the masses gathered on deck 6. We liked the food but probably ate more than we should. The crews did performances, and many were trained by professional instructors hired by the cruise company. The ship’s river guide, Daniel, speaks English and is very friendly and helpful. Shore excursion guides are not from the ship but from the local attraction sites. We paid for our optional tours, about one a day besides the included daily tours. I don’t know how we did but we were able to rack up ten thousand steps and up to 25 stairs a day. Our upstream cruise could not go to Chongqing due to too low water level so we all had to pack our luggage the night before and had them hauled up by porters. Departure by bus started at 6:30 AM. It’s a bit daunting as this port, Feng Du, doesn’t have escalators or funiculars so we had to climb 120 steps (20 steps followed by a flat stretch). Apple used to count 12 steps as a stair but now seems to count 20 steps as one stair.Written March 27, 2024
- T8887LEbradleyb0 contributionsAwesome Day Trip to an Amazing CityOur brief time in Chongqing left us wanting more! We enjoyed a private day trip in Chongqing whilst waiting to board our river cruise. We enjoyed wandering the streets of the Ciqikou area and a shopping trip to the CBD. Jasmine was a very welcoming and knowledgeable guide. Our driver, Mr Ling was skilled and careful. Many happy memories and hope to return again soon!Written March 25, 2024
- T8887LEbradleyb0 contributionsTERRIBLE, AWFUL, HORRIBLE!!!This was my 15th cruise and the WORST cruise experience I have ever had. There was no air conditioning on the ship for the first night and a half of the next day. It was utterly miserable. What food I was able to eat was nearly inedible. I communicated my food allergies to the cruise company 6 weeks before boarding and our travel agency followed up to confirm before our arrival. But, every meal I went hungry because there was nothing but 1 dish of fried vegetables and some rice that I could to eat. My traveling companions also complained about the poor quality of the food (they were able to eat most everything, but said it was "hospital food" quality). But the absolute worst part: 3 Gorges Dam tour. It was obvious that our tour guide "Alex" hates foreigners. Alex was supposed to be the tour guide for our group of English speaking people, but he refused to speak any English during the tour. After we complained repeatedly, he would only begrudgingly say a few words in English and spent the entire 2.5 hours speaking Chinese with the few Chinese speakers who got stuck in with the English speaking group. Alex should not be a tour guide for foreigners if he hates foreigners so much. The scenery was gorgeous. The ship was clean. Except for Alex, the staff was very friendly and hard working. I strongly recommend against this cruise and this cruise line. I thought that because it was advertised as "American managed" that it would be the best fit for an American passenger. I was VERY wrong. If this were my first cruise experience I would never go on a cruise again!Written March 25, 2024

- Francisco B0 contributionsUnforgettableI took the 4D3N Yangtze River Cruise, from Chongqing to Yichang, by Victoria Cruise. I came from Xi'an by train, with a final destination in Shanghai. A few years ago I had been to Tibet, at the source of the Yangtze River and I wanted to take the cruise to experience this great river and its landscapes in the Three Gorges. Traveling alone and without knowledge of the language, I found, however, all kinds of help from the trip hiring staff and, especially the crew. I am very grateful to have been able to live this experience, which for me is unforgettable. I stand out not only in the quality of the boat and the exceptional beauty of the landscapes, but also, and especially, the quality and variety of the delicious food on board.Written December 1, 2023
- 125christyk0 contributionsMust-do in ChongqingPeter was a wonderful guide. He spoke fluent English and was very passionate and knowledgeable about the place as well as the city - we could tell that he loved Chongqing and Wulong Karst. The whole tour was very accommodating and the lunch was great (we had 4 big plates of food for 2 people). Wulong Karst is a beautiful area and is a must-do when in Chongqing.Written August 4, 2023
- Hugary10 contributionsChongqing Dazu Rock Carvings Private Day Tour With the LunchTook the tour and found it fabulous. Guide spoke excellent English was knowledgable and friendly. The attractions were stunning and much more that I expected. Lunch was local and the meal had its local flavours in a small local eatery. We went in dec and found that there were no crowds and though cold it was very manageable and preferable to the heat and vast crowds of summer.Written October 20, 2019
