Yuan was amazing! All details were clearly conveyed and it was a smooth tour of Great Wall and Forbidden City, we weren’t able to go to Tianenmann Square as our time was short but Yuan was accomodating, kind and great at explaining the history of each place we visited. She is a 10/10 guide!

The tour has been amazing for the fact that the tour operator was able to accommodate our tight time schedule on our layover, we had in fact only a few hours to make it to the GWC. Luckily we were able to skip queues and have our car ready at the airport, literally at the exit. Our top tour guide Herbie was incredibly knowledgeable and great at taking memorable pictures once we were at the GWC. we managed to get over 2 full hours before closing at 5:30 and we landed at 1:30. We managed to get 10K steps and 15 towers on our time there. He then took us to a great restaurant where we learnt more about chinese customs. It was definitely a fantastic time for my son and I and a great memory for the time to come. great thanks to Miss chen our driver and Daniel the tour organizer that was always quick to respond and fix my date mishap mistake in no time. I highly recommend them for your tours, they are very easy to deal with in terms of organization and payments options. there was never an issue. Herbie was great and friendly. if you are short on time and you want to see as much as you can I definitely recommend this tour operator, they will do their best to maximize your layover time.

I used this company for my 12 hour layover in Beijing to see the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. It was a great tour and I highly recommend it. They gave me step by step directions on how to exit the airport and then gave me a great tour. I got to the airport in plenty of time, and when I forgot something on the car, they turned around and brought it to me.

We’ve just has a few hours in Beijing ,but thanks to our guide (Alice Ji) it was amazing,as well as her photo skills. Firts we went to the Forbidden City and she give us a lot of information about chinese culture,history and everything.After that we went to Hutong area and Great Wall,it was amazing and very well organised. From the Great Wall you can choose to come down with summer bobsled which is really fun.

We had a great trip during our 12 hour layover with Alice Ji our trip was memorable and very informative. Alice Ji spoke perfect English and had so much historical knowledge for each of the locations we went too. We visited the Great Wall, the forbidden city, and tianamen square. It was a private tour my husband and I took with Alice Ji and a driver directly from the Beijing airport. Would highly recommend this you, I was so pleased to be able to use our 12 hours to see one of the worlds wonders!

We only had a few hours since our flight was late coming in and be prepared- immigration took almost 2 hours. Was able to contact Daniel via email and let him know that we were running late. Our tour guide, Cindy was waiting for us and was easy to find once we went through all the proper channels of getting our 24 hr Visa. Cindy was very knowledgeable and knew all of the right places to go so we could see everything and still get back to the airport on time. Would highly recommend anyone that has a stop over to do this. Suggestion- bring snacks. No time for food since we had a lot to see in such little time but it was all doable.

This was an experience of a life time. When the ship arrived in port, we sailed thru immigration and there waiting for us with our names on a sign was our guide in Beijing - Seven. Yes that is her name. She was amazing. She was knowledgeable of all the sites and extremely fluent in English. Over the next 3 days she would become our friend as well as guide. We then were escorted to our sedan and introduced to our driver. He would be our driver through our journey in Beijing. The car was extremely comfortable and bottled water was provided. The Great Wall was our destination for this day. It's a long drive - over 2 hours to get to the wall and Seven was a source of information along the way. We stopped for lunch at a local restaurant and had buffet. Everything was delicious. Now on to the Great Wall. Seven brought us to a section of the wall called Mutianju. There is a ski type lift to get you up to the Wall. Since we are active but in our late 60's, the ride up was appreciated. It was amazing being there and the day was perfect for long range shots. Seven took many photographs of us through out the trip either with her camera and ours. The ride down was so much fun. One of the options of getting down off the wall is a slide life journey down the mountain. It took about 15 minutes to get down with spotters all along the way to insure safety. We loved it. When we got back to the car, it was about 4 pm and we headed to our hotel in Beijing - Crowne Plaza Beijing Wangfujing. We ate supper in the hotel and tried to get some sleep before our pick up the following morning at 4:50 am. Sure enough there was our driver waiting at that unearthly hour to take us to the airport for our 1 day trip to Xian to see the Terracotta Warriors. The airport was easy to navigate since all signs were in Chinese and English as well. In Xian there was Tina our guide waiting for us. It made us feel so safe having them there on time. Tina was also fluent in English and made the day a wonderful experience for us. Again the car was very comfortable and bottle water was provided. Tina took us to the experience of a life time - seeing the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. We expected a dig site similar to the ones in Rome but the Chinese government had erected 5 huge hanger like building over the 5 sites to protect the artifacts. Each building held amazing sites and countless figures. After this we went to the Xian City Wall & Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Time was our enemy and we had to leave the city to make our flight back to Beijing. Tina came into the airport with us to be sure we got through the terminal with ease. Flew back to Beijing arriving back around 11 pm and there was our same driver waving at us to take us back to the hotel in Beijing. Day 3 - We were picked up at 8 am and drove to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Seven was with us every step of the way. We were so glad to see her. We then went to see the Temple of Heaven. Lunch and then back to the ship by 2:30 pm as we had a sailing time of 4 pm. Looking back at these 3 days of our trip it was probably the highlight of our entire 14 day journey. It was expensive to do a private tour but it was also the best experience. It was one on one. We took whatever time we needed to get around site and let all the beauty sink in. The driver brought the car to us and endless steps to parking areas was avoided. And our tour guide in Xian Tina was exceptional. Perhaps our greatest gift during this trip was meeting our guide in Beijing - Seven. She was unbelievable in how she looked after us and by the time we were leaving she felt like family. Thank you Seven. We will always remember you and wish you well. We were worried about sending 50% payment when we booked but this company was so reliable, responded to email inquiry generally within a few hours and provided necessary documentation for Chinese Visa. I would use them again and fully recommend them.

We were referred to this company by a friend of ours and we could not be happier with our decision. We had a 13 hour layover in Beijing and wanted to see the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. This company organized everything from start to finish. Answered all emails very promptly and was extremely professional and courteous throughout all dealings. The real icing on the cake for us was our tour guide, Alice Ji. She is the nicest woman you could hope to have as your guide. Extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to have accompany us. My 17 month old son, Thomas, adored her. She took amazing photographs throughout the day also, I’m a stickler for good photos and she did great. If you use this company I highly suggest you request Alice Ji as your guide. Thank you again for everything. We hope to see you again in the future!

The company delivered and the tour guide assigned, Herbie, was terrific! Even the weather cooperated! A real highlight (but weren't they all) was Herbie arranging for our small group to have lunch in old Beijing (Hutong) at the home of a local Chef extraordinaire. Hotel accommodations were first class!! Wouldn't hesitate to utilize this company for another trip to China!

We had a great two days through this company. What made it wonderful was our guide, Herbie. He answered our questions, took us to the most interesting places, and generally took care of us. The van we were in was comfortable and had ac which we needed. The hotel we stayed in, the Crowne Plaza in Beijing, was more than adequate and came with a nice buffet breakfast. We took a ski lift up to the Great Wall and it was fairly empty which was great. We took a luge down. All told a wonderful tour which I highly recommend. Try to get Herbie as your guide! He was the best!

Took overnight tour from Tianjin port in late Sept. Our tour guide Herbie was great! His enthusiam, knowledge of the sites we visited and his sense of humor made the tour exceptional. We were fortunate to find the Great Wall uncrowded and the weather was perfect. Thanks to Herbie we not only saw some amazing sights, but learned a lot about the history and culture of China.

I booked this tour for 8 people through Anne Lee. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, always promptly responding to my emails. Alice was our tour guide for the two day tour. She was amazing! She was fun, polite, friendly and looked after us 100%. We had the most delicious meals at the restaurants Alice took us to. Our overnight stay at the Crowne Plaza was great. The hotel is located right in the centre of Beijing and included a fabulous breakfast. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this tour especially with Alice as guide.

We were NOT told or warned by either TripAdvisor nor Beijing Explore Tours that we could be denied a 24/144 hour Visa. Had we known the possibility existed we would have not purchased this in advance. We were told by Chinese Immigration we were being denied because we visited Turkey 5 years ago. We told Beijing Explore Tours that China Immigration would not give us a day visa, and they basically told us too bad and would not refund the $290 we spent on this tour. There were others in line for day Visas who were denied entry to China as well. Clearly someone should have known and should have warned us. And when something out of our control like this happens, I hope TripAdvisor backs us up with a refund. BEWARE.

I contacted Beijing Explore Tours as I was originally supposed to have a layover in Beijing, but when I ended up with a 15-hour layover in Shanghai, they were still able to book a tour for me. I corresponded with Daniel via email and he was extremely helpful in setting up the tour and answering questions. My tour guide was Lily, who was very passionate about her job and knowledgeable about the city. I wouldn’t have been able to do everything that we saw and experienced in Shanghai without Lily’s assistance. I’d highly recommend using Beijing Explore Tours and visiting Shanghai.

My wife and I were looking for Tour in Beijing before we take our Japanese Cruise out of Tianjin in July 2019. I know I am writing this review three weeks after we got back but I wanted to write this review for anyone that is going to do a 5 Day Tour with this company. I did all the research online and this was the only company that provided pick up from the airport when you arrived and transportation to our Royal Caribbean Cruise at Tianjin. So we went with this company and saw all of the positive reviews of the shorter tours. We choose the 5 Day Tour, where we had two days of transportation and three days of different Tours. Before I talk about this amazing Tour, let me talk about Anne Lee, our customer service person, she was there from the start before our trip and always answering our questions during our trip, all the way to end of our trip. She made our experience in Beijing something we will never forget. I can go on and on talking about Anne Lee's wonderful job she did to get this trip together for us but just want to mention that she was excellent and went beyond the call of duty. I hope you have Anne Lee to get your Beijing Tour together but either way, they have good customer service and they are in Beijing if you need to reach them. Email is one the quickest ways of communication. We stayed at the wonderful Crown Plaza Wangfujing and we had a great stay over there, which is included with the Tour price. I will write a review on their website about our stay. All of our drivers in the tours were great and we had caring drivers that picked us up from the airport and the one that took us to the Tianjin cruise port. We also had one other driver that picked us up from this company to pick us up from the Tianjin Cruise port from our Royal Caribbean cruise to the Beijing Airport, which was not part of the 5 Day Tour but an extra charge and he did a wonderful job also. Our three tour Guides, Lee, Linda, and Yury spoke good English and they were great at answering questions. They all let us have the ample time to embody whatever place we were seeing in Beijing and I feel the three days of tours provided us with the best highlights of Beijing. All three tour guides were very knowledgable and caring. They made our experience a memorable one. Just remember, every Tour feels rushed but that is a nature of a tour in any country but I didn't feel that rushed with these three tour guides. Your Tour guides call your Hotel Room the night before to introduce themselves and to tell you what time they will pick you up and that was nice. If they can't get a hold of you, they leave a message with the hotel staff and the hotel staff will let you know. I know this is a long review but I see that I am the only one that wrote a review about their 5 Day Tour. Highly recommended and some people on my cruise told me that we had a better deal with this tour with Transportation from the Airport and to the Cruise on our last day, Hotel, Breakfast and Lunch included and Tours was better then what they experienced with the Tour Company they went with. Also, my wife and I never felt pressured to buy anything at the shops we stoped by during our tours. Overall, this is a company you can trust and they put the customer first.
