Amazing day and the only way to see Xian
What a fantastic day! Tracy was an amazing guide who exceeded our expectations in every way. Tracy and the team were able to easily accomodate our party of 6, including my elderly mother-in-law who required wheelchair access into each of the sites we visited. The team’s new mini-bus was super comfortable, spotless, and easy to hop in and out of. It certainly made the long trip out to the Terracotta Army very smooth and honestly a private mini-bus tour is the ONLY way to travel around China. Tracy’s knowledge of the history, cultural contexts, and even nuances of linguistics was simply awesome. Even my Chinese wife learnt heaps. While many of the locations we visited were busy with domestic tourists, Tracy had so many pro tips to help us find the best spots for photographs, and to see all of the best bits with little effort at all. We had a great time. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Just do it.

    Please check everything before paying
We arrived at the theatre and our booking didn’t exist and the 7.00 PM show actually started at 5.30 PM. When we tried to contact the tour operator the number they provided wasn’t available.

    Awesome Base
Great place to visit the cute pandas. I didn’t quite like the enclosures as the glass makes it difficult for photography and people usually crowd around that small viewing area. However, the open air sections are lovely and natural.

    Free entry as a foreigner
Don't bother with pre-booking tickets. I was there in October 2019. I presented my passport at the ticket booth and was provided an entry ticket free of charge, along with a free sub-ticket for another section of the complex. And there was no line-up either. The same thing at the Summer Palace. Completely free as a foreigner. Only locals have to pay to get in. At the Forbidden City, the entry was not free but reduced from the regular ticket prices.

    Sichuan Opera: Shufeng in Chengdu
This was a fantastic experience for my children and I. The Opera was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed dressing up in the traditional costumes with make up and all. The photos their professional photographer took turned out great. Worth every penny. A must see/do in Chengdu. (And they take credit cards)

If you go yo Guilin it means you should take Li river Cruise, they pick you up from you hotel and the others from other hotels. If you do t like to drive around to collect people you can pay and ask for private transfer.the cruise is big enough with prober deck to enjoy a scene. Clean toilets on a cruise, guide, and food. We liked it and we are happy for the mean time, you see other people you can socialize with them.

    Dynamic but limited show
The show is at times breathtaking in the physical dynamism of the performers. It is a great spectacle - superb colourful sets and lighting. The storyline is a bit limited, and after a while the Kung fu action gets a bit repetitive.

    Ticket at the gate
It was easy to buy tickets on the spot with cash. Locals use other Chinese apps for tickets and payment solution. I don’t blame the gate keeper for not knowing what trip advisor is. There is one ticket to enter the park, another to visit the temple. Make sure you got both for complete experience. It’s a lot larger than the temple of Earth. This is the one to visit if you can not go to bothZ

    Really good!
I didn't expect this show to be as high quality as it was. It was absolutely excellent and I will for sure go back again. I kept looking over at my teenage sons who were smiling and fully engaged in the performance. If you are going to Beijing and want a cultural experience I HIGHLY recommend this show.

A long line of boats but a fantastic view!
We had a giggle as we were expecting a leisurely cruise along the river but there were no less than 50 large ferries waiting to transport the crowds! The boats followed each other in a long line but they were far apart enough that you could take photos and imagine you were the only people there. The food on board was simple but nice, it took about 4 hours to travel from Guilin to Yangshuo and then we hired some bikes and had a ride through the countryside. We did this as part of a larger tour so visited the cave and other sites the next morning.

    Absolutely phenomenal
One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen, cannot vault the performance. There was snacks on site and the staff even let us store our backpacker rucksacks during the show. A must see in China

Trip advisor never sent me my voucher!
After having paid for my entrance weeks in advance, I was required to buy a brand new ticket upon entry because Trip Advisor failed to send me a voucher. Don’t use Trip Advisor. It’s a waste of money.
