Very nice tour of Great Wall and forbidden city ! The guide and the driver were very friendly and took care of my visit in Beijing, unfortunately Tienanmen square was not open to public visitors because of the parliament meeting they had . But they managed to take me to a the house where they offer me 20 minutes the tasting which was amazing ! So if you have a long layover and you can’t be bothered travelling by your self around Beijing I would definitely recommend this company for any day tour in Beijing ! Nice people and nice place to visit ! Thanks for the fabulous experience guys !

People are helpful and have old fashioned manners, polite and respectful. Herbie is a mine of knowledge about Chinese history, food, architecture, customs. He knows it all. Very intelligent, polite man. True ambassador of his great country. It was amazing to see Chinese progress and sheer success as a country. Herbie is always ready to provide historical background and dates. His driver Lee Sifu is also very helpful and reliable. Always on time and driving very safely. Both are great team. Big thanks to both of them. Great Wall is truly great feat of engineering. Mind blowing. And Herbie will tell you all about it. Best part is riding down on toboggan for 2 kilometres. Herbie will ride behind you to protect you from someone crashing into you.I recommend Herbie. Great guy, professional and helpful, same as his driver Mr Lee. All Chinese people I came across were helpful, orderly and respectful. Nice to see successful nation, proud and strong.

10/10 experience! I had a wonderful private tour visiting three top locations, and the tour guide, Herbie, was a fantastic host. He had deep historical knowledge of every site we visited, was incredibly engaging and friendly throughout the entire tour, and even doubled as a great personal photographer. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch at a fantastic restaurant he personally recommended. I’m sure all of his tours are just as interactive and enjoyable as the one I experienced. A top-notch host! Our driver, Pang, was also excellent—always punctual, ready to pick us up without any delays, and very friendly. I chose this long private tour during my layover in Beijing, as I had a great experience with the same company earlier this year in January. Back then, I joined a group tour of the Great Wall, led by another amazing guide, Yuan. She was highly interactive with the entire group and had an impressive knowledge of the Great Wall’s history. I highly recommend this tour to anyone with a long layover in Beijing!

This company went above and beyond with our two booked tours. We did a private family tour to Forbidden City for our layover on the way to France and then we did the Mutianyu Great Wall tour on the way back. We had the same guide - Yuan - for both tours and she was incredible! We had our two young boys with us and she went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable and happy - including having to literally run to get our children to a bathroom when they were suddenly busting - the joys of travelling with children. The Travel Advisor, Daniel, was also amazing! How does he reply so instantly and personally to all emails? Does he ever sleep? He was so super helpful and all of the instructions on where to meet the guide, how to navigate Beijing Airport and the thorough itinerary was just so super helpful and made everything seamless and easy and stress-free. Our drivers were the unsung heroes, as they just quietly took us where we needed to go and then guarded our bags while we toured - but goodness! Navigating Beijing rush hour traffic - especially to take us to our hotel after our second tour! The fact he managed to be so patient and honestly just to not crash in the craziness of their streets - was a miracle in itself. The drivers definitely deserve a mention (if not a sainthood). If you have time for a tour on your layovers in Beijing, I cannot recommend this company highly enough!

Herbie was a great guide with wide knowledge of not only the Great Wall and the Forbidden City but the culture and traditions as well. We really enjoyed the tour, they provided us warm coats and water. The car was also spacious and comfortable. I would recommend you to do this tour if you have a layover in Beijing.

The tour was just amazing. Everything was perfectly organized, and I got a great taste of Beijing thanks to this tour. Herbie was an excellent guide—enthusiastic, professional, and very kind. Seeing the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and then having a meal at a local restaurant, it’s hard to do better to make the most of a long layover. I am very glad that I chose the Mutianyu Wall Tour. My guide Herbie was great. He told me a lot about the history, answered all my questions, took great photos (he is as good a guide as he is a photographer), everything from the pick up at the airport worked out great. The driver Mrs Chen was also very professional and I felt comfortable the whole time. If I'll be in Beijing in the future I'll surely book another tour again. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful morning with Herbie on the Great Wall. The views were spetacular and it’s definately worth a visit. Our tour guide met us in the airport and everything went smoothly. However be aware that the cost of cable car is not included in the price so prepare to have some cash with you, otherwise you will have to go through some troble to find an atm to pay for it. Otherwise we loved our little tour and a chance to see a glance of China on our layover!

It was one of the best decisions we did for a vacation ever. We are traveling 35 years together and it was by far the best tour we had. The best before this one was Mutianyu Great wall. We did it with same company. We were early at the airport and our tours started at 8 and 7AM. That allowed us to be early at all locations and avoid crowd. Although everyone we met was very nice and friendly. The guides are very knowledgeable and open for questions. We learned a lot about all the places we visited.
