- swR7171PJ0 contributionsGreat Wall, Great way to spend a 10 layover with a Great tour company! With the guidance of the Beijing Impressions Tour company, I arranged for a 10 hour layover in Beijing to visit the Great Wall. Tony,my contact at the company, was very helpful ahead of time with specific instructions on how to speedily navigate the airport and find my tour guide. Although it was a Saturday, Tony was in contact with me to ensure I connected with my tour guide. I highly recommend my tour guide and driver, Jim, who spoke great English and provided great historical as well as general information about the Great Wall and Beijing. Jim accompanied me on the wall and took great pictures as he continued to share insights about the wall. And, back at the airport, Jim helped me with my luggage and got me to my flight check in point. I made it back to the airport with 2 1/2 hours to spare! I can't more highly recommend this tour company and Jim and Tony.Written December 14, 2019
- Zibbedy0 contributionsBest decission everWe had a 14 hour stay in Beijing, for transit to New Zealand. As the inner city seamed kind of unspectacular, we decided to book a trip to the wall. And this was the best decision we could make. In the price included is a private driver, the wall entrance fee and the shuttle bus ticket to the wall, as private cars aren't allowed to drive there directly. Our Driver Shane picked us up right at the exit of the baggage area. He is a really lovely guy, who speaks English perfectly, gives a lot of tips and loves to answer questions about China etc. Arriving at the wall tourism centre after a 1,5 hour drive, he accompanied us all the way. He even walked all the stairs up to the wall with us, to take some pictures from us. After that he gave us the opportunity, to explore the wall on our own. We stayed on the wall for about 1 5 hours. When we walked down the stairs back to the wall tourism center, we met him again and he drove us back, directly to our departure terminal. This trip was worth any penny, thanks to the hilarious driver Shane. Thanks a lot!Written December 5, 2019
- kdlowww0 contributionsWhat a Treat!I truly did not expect to have that great of a time in China. I was initially excited but after a long plane ride, I was very tired from a two week vacation with my partner I was just plain worn out. Our tour guide Michael brought my energy back. He was funny personable and took pictures that my boyfriend and I will treasure for the rest of our lives. He saved the day for us and made the great wall and experience I’ll never forget. We recommend this tour highly. Great experience.Written November 25, 2019

- LosGatanTom0 contributionsGreat Plan B when Jiankou was closed offTony received early information that they were not allowing tourists to hike Jiankou to Mutianyu, this allowed us to “call an audible” and travel to a similar remote unrestored section of the Wall. Had he not had access to this information early, there would not have been time to adjust our plans. Others at our hotel drove all the way to Jiankou before learning of the closures due to fire risk. Great tour companies have access to information early and create a similar experience. Tony was super nice and knowledgeable and on our drive to Huanghuacheng gave us all the background information on our new hiking location. First class operation. Highly recommend it!Written April 5, 2019
- barbaramO9223ET0 contributionsOne day Terracota warriors from BeijingWe had an long but amazing day visiting the Terracotta Warriors. Shortly after booking this tour our tour organizer Wangsi was in touch and kept in touch with us up to, during and after our tour. We could not have asked for a more punctual pick up or delivery to the airport to board our flight from Beijing to Xian. While is was an early flight (pick up at 0430 from our hotel) the process to get to the airport and arrive in Xian to our next guide was flawless. We quickly boarded our van and were on our way to the Terracotta warriors. Our guide in Xian was Rosa, she spent the time traveling to Xian telling us the history of the warriors, which was absolutely fascinating. Rosa kept us all on track, which was a challenge as we were there during the Chinese New Year holiday week and the crowds were crazy. Rosa knew how to get us in to see the different pits without too much difficulty until we reached Pit one which was the most incredible pit and the most crowded. We had to push and shove to get to the rails to take photos, but Rosa was absolutely invaluable in her efforts to make sure we got our photo opportunities. Would highly recommend this tour.Written March 5, 2019
- Li P0 contributionsdive bars and meeting friendsSoho town is a popular spot which you can hang out lots of bars and night clubs. In this part of Beijing and you can meet with lots of folks whom are not from China and they are from Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and US, and those folks came to China to live and to work with joint ventures or foreign branch office or conducting int'l business. Those bars offer different culture singing bands from Philippine or local popl singing groups. I highly recommend anyone visiting Beijing to check it out.Written July 9, 2018
- annlKildare0 contributionsBrilliant Private Day Tour of BeijingWe arranged to do a 1 day tour of Beijing covering all the Main sites. The itinerary was set to start at 08.15 which it did. We were collected by Jessica from our Hotel on time. There was bottled water in the car. We were brought from site to site with just the right amount of information ( Not overloaded) and given enough time to see and photograph the main features. It was 41c in Beijing so very warm. We visited Tianamen Sq. ,Forbidden city , Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven. . We were brought for "Hot Pot " lunch. Please bring a sheet to cover yoursel if u have never done this before. The sauce goes everywhere, but so well worth trying. It was a long day . Jessica and the driver were so good and made the tour for us.Written June 15, 2018
- SimonanLisa0 contributionsNice Tour from airport to Great WallWe had a 9 h stopover in Beijing and booked the tour only 12 h in advance. With the 24 h-visa we could leave the airport and our tour guide picked us up at the arrival gate. The driver waited in the car, so we could leave immediately to the wall, which takes about an hour, depending on traffic. In January you have to be aware that it's very cold, but the tour and the guide were great! And we can definitely recommend to go early in the morning, as there are no other people on the wall!Written April 18, 2018
- iactivenet0 contributionsPrivate tourI was impressed the staff was friendly and patience. I got stuck in custom line for about hour. They wait for me. They took every where private car and meal and tour all in one day. It's worth itWritten September 13, 2016
- KocourMikes0 contributionsBest start in ChinaChina is big and Beijing is huge. To become familiar in first days with the capital I´m trully recommending my experience with Beijing Impression Tours. On internet I ordered in advance the Great Wall Badaling Trip (+ Olympics, + Jade Factory, + Ming Tombs, + Tea ceremony) and for the evening Peking Opera. I received confirmation to my room at the evening, in the morning at 7:10 was the tourguide Yoyo in my hotel as promised and the same happens at 18:20 in the evening. On time in China! The guide was very nice English speaking, she delivered a lot of interesting informations, took care about all of us. She responded any of our questions, recommended the best places for eating, shopping in the city. Very reliable agency, best services, good prices!Written September 11, 2016
- kboldkart0 contributionsBeijing Tours Guide - 2 day Beijing tour from cruise ships port.Cruise Ship to Beijing City,Temple of Heaven, Silk Worm Factory, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City ,the Great Wall at Muttanyu and the Jade Factory. with 2 lunches included. return to the ship. Choice of hotel standard . Just finished a very successful two day Beijing tour collected and returned to our cruise ship with Beijing Tours guide. We were a little apprehensive as we couldn't find many recent reviews about this company and the thought of sending a deposit of half the tour cost to a total stranger in a country noted for scams was a little daunting .After many reassuring emails from Daniel Yan we decided to sign up for the tour. We certainly were not disappointed. We were met at the ship along with 25 other unknown passengers from our boat and met our very capable tour guide Lisa who spoke good English and was a wealth of information about China and the locations we visited. She was a great organiser and kept us moving to ensure we got the most out of our tour. She also managed on the go to arrange a porter and wheel chair within 15 minutes when one of party became incapacitated during a long walk through the Forbidden City. The bus driver was also very capable and seemed to have a sixth sense as to which lane would give the fastest progress in peak weekend traffic. Although the tour offered three standards of hotel Daniel was more than willing to allow us to choose our own which was' The Prime' 5 star at a budget price. Groans on the second day when were told we were to be picked at 7am but this was a sound decision as we toured and finished the G reat Wall just as the great mass of tourists arrived. Great decision. Included in our tour was a visit to two state run businesses, a silk worm factory and the next day a jade factory. These were both very informative and not as nearly as onerous as some previous reports suggested. We bought nothing at either location and weren't pressured to do so. Warning there is a bit of walking involved so if you have had a recent joint replacement or require a walking frame this is not the tour for you. The only possible improvement to this tour could be the inclusion of a coach that has a toilet. This tour was excellent value and was about a quarter the price of a similar one offered by the cruise liner. Get a quote you will be pleasantly surprised. Would I go with this firm again...absolutely.. Thanks Daniel and Lisa.Written April 24, 2016
- Galant0 contributionsThe Best tour agency in Beijing!!!!!!!I visited Beijing a few years ago and I booked tours with Beijing Impression. Michael (General Manager) is always checking everything is fine. Service is excellent. Tours schedule is sharp. Always on time. Guides are very knowledgeable and very professional. Beijing is a very safe city. But if you do not speak their language, do not go further without the tour guide recommendation for your safety. I plan to go again and the Tour agency will be Beijing Impression!!!!!!!Written April 23, 2016
- Catherine E0 contributionsAmazing, personalized private tour!! This is a hundred times better than the organized tours. Very knowlegable guide! We had a long layover at the Beijing airport and really wanted to check out the Great Wall. This service could not have been better! Our guide met us at the airport, took us to a brand new spotless car with a driver. We drove to one of the best parts of the Great Wall and our guide took us up, then turned us loose and we met him a little later. Our guide took us to a really scenic part of the Great Wall (great time of day too, before the crowds came!) and told us a bit about it, then turned us loose. We took a tram up and an awesome tobaggan/luge ride down. We got to see beautiful mountains, scenery, and wonderful parts of the Great Wall. AND our drive took us right back to the airport right on time. It could not have been more perfect. Well worth evry penny! I would not have done this any differently!Written April 20, 2016

We had a four day private tour with Beijingtoursguide in October which was fantastic. Our flight arrived at midnight and Helen our tour guide was there ready to pick us up at the airport and transfer us to our hotel. Helen and the driver made our time in Beijing hassle free always on time a great smile and a Ni Hoa. The weather was perfect and although the week we was in Beijing it was the Chinese annual holidays and very busy Helen and the driver made life easy and everything flowed smoothly. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Temple of Heaven booked as part of our tour and we were very happy with the accommodation and location. Our breakfasts plus 5 other meals at various restaurants was also included as part of the tour. We visited the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, Beihai Park,Summer Place, Mutianyu Great Wall and a visit to a Hutong which were all great. Our tour also included a transfer to Tiangin Cruise Terminal and all for a very reasonable price. Our emails were always promtply replied to and we cannot recommend Beijingtoursguide highly enough, Xie Xie Nne to everydody at Beijingtoursguide.com

We had a two day layover in Beijing and hired this company to guide us. We arrived at 730 am and followed their instructions for a temporary visa. The instructions were excellent and we got through the airport very quickly. Our guide was Sherry and she was very personable. On day one we went to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Palace. We went quickly as it was very cold (January) so Sherry suggested we visit a Tea house for tea tasting to warm us. The day also included a nice lunch at a traditional place and a visit to a silk factory. Before dropping us at the hotel she pointed out the shopping district and suggested a restaurant. On day two she was waiting for us in the lobby at 730 am. She took us to a bakery for coffee and snacks before heading to the Great Wall. throughout the tour her knowledge was good, she answered all our questions and she took pictures at all the best spots. We would not have been able to see such amazing sites without her guidance. Thank you Sherry and we made it to the airport with lots of time to spare.

I had a very good experience with Beijing Impression (http://www.beijingimpression.com/) tour company. I was in Beijing on business, and only had two days to sightsee. I did the one day private tour from Beijing to Xian by flight to see the Terra Cotta soldiers. I was picked up at my hotel on time, and the driver went with me into the airport to check in. The tour guide, Eva, was waiting on the other side with a sign with my name on it, and off we went to see the Terra Cotta soldiers, the Xian City Wall, and the Wild Goose Pagoda. Eva was very sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. We did make a factory stop to see how the souvenir soldiers were made, but it was interesting. The next day, I took a tour of Beijing with tour guide Andi, and went to the Beijing Zoo to see the Pandas (which wasn't originally part of the tour, but which I requested when I booked the trip), then saw Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and finally the great wall at Mutianyu, which was farther away from Beijing, but a very good place to see the wall. You can take a cable car up, walk the part of the wall with the best views, and then toboggan down! The tour guide tobogganed down with me. Andi was very knowledgeable and attentive as well. So, this tour company was reliable, did what they promised, and the tour guides and drivers were great. If I were to go back to China, I would use them again.
