- Sherpa0266419760900A must place to visit👍👍👍I took 2 days package tour withTop China Travel. My guild; Tony has excellent english, knowledgeable, experiences and be able to take a shotcut lane without waiting in the long queue which saved a lot of time. Both places are amazing and very beautiful. I am very enjoy and impresses in travelling overthere. I recommend you to use service from Top China Travel when you want to travel to these places. Because travelling routes to get there are very complicated , you would take long time to find the way and wont enjoy the trip.
- 723petra00Perfectly perfectWe had the wonderful holidays in China. We loved everything and our kids too. And that’s also thanks to this travel agency. Everything worked well (like Swiss watches🤗). The intinerary was perfectly chosen and guides were great with high level of English.
- Elizabeth G00Good TourThis tour is good if you have a short time in Beijing and want to tick these three off in a fairly 'hands-off' tour style. We were taken to a pearl shop and chinese medicine school but were in no way pressured to buy anything (and the foot massage was lovely - worth the 5 cny for sure)
- desbevden006D5N in ZhangjiajieMy family booked for a 6D5N trip to Zhangjiajie at the end of Nov 2019. We contacted many different tour agencies for a private tour quotation. Top China Travel stood out because Yocky was very prompt in her replies. She made responses via email as quickly as though she was sending me an sms. I’m really impressed with the booking process because of her. Another reason we decided with TCT was because the price was the best, given we asked for a custom travel itinerary and no unnecessary souvenir stops with people pestering us to buy their goods. When I first confirmed the booking, I was afraid that this trip was fraudulent because the price was too good to be true. Rest assured, we were not cheated. Accommodation was very much worth our money for a 4* hotel, yet again, we are not very fussy so do take our comments with a pinch of salt. Our first and last night was in Zhangjiajie city centre while the middle three nights were in Wulingyuan district, close to the mountain ranges. We preferred the hotel in Wulingyuan simply because we had a better view of the mountain and there are fewer noise in the morning. Our tour guide, Anna, was amazing. Her English is good, and we enjoyed her company. Didn’t feel like she was just there to do her job, but like she was a friend who decided to come along for the tour. It certainly helps to have a local guide around so we won’t be so lost. My family are Chinese residing in Malaysia, but we’re all pretty Mandarin illiterate and can only speak some cursory words. We would’ve wasted so much time trying to ask for directions or relay proper food restriction information (three of us are vegetarians). As for the tour itself, we’re so grateful that we were blessed with good weather. We went on the third week of November. It was the best weather we could’ve hoped for. Our first day of tour was a lot foggy when we went up Tianmen Mountain. This was good because most of the crowds gave up climbing the 999 stairs and we had a quiet time walking up. It also helps that we didn’t know how far up we’ve gone so we became so relieved when we reached the top. The sad part of this day was the cable cars were not operating so we had to use the bus up and down the 99 bends and couldn’t see the snake-like shape of the bends. So I guess we’re lucky we didn’t really miss out since it was such a foggy day. Day 2 was the Zhangjiajie mountain ranges itself in Wulingyuan district. We went up the Bailong Elevator and took a cable car ride down from Tianshi mountain (highest peak of Zhangjiajie). We went on a rainy day, so I felt it was pretty inconvenient to walk in a raincoat while carrying my little two year old together. I would suggest getting umbrellas instead. This place was so magical and surreal during the rain. Even in the cable car, we were surrounded by fog, but when a sandstone mountain was near, it would suddenly appear out of nowhere. Creepy yet cool! Despite all the uneasiness caused by the rain, I’m glad we get to experience such weather. Day 3 was another day in Zhangjiajie, but this time we did the valley walk. So it was a different angle from the ground to see the mountains above us. Fortunately, this was our sunniest day and we were glad that our view was unobstructed this time. It also helped that I brought the stroller out so I don’t have to carry my girl around. Our last day was a trip to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon and the Baofeng Lake. The weather stayed sunny, but sadly, that meant more people were filling the glass bridge so it was rather difficult to get a nice shot here. We did a short hike back to avoid the crowds and were surprised with a huge slide which took us down a slope. This slide was the highlight of our day. The Baofeng Lake tour was so-so, but maybe that’s because it was a group organised tour and the guide was speaking in Mandarin, so I couldn’t really catch up with what was going on. There were night shows still available when we were there, one near Tianmen mountain, the other at Wulingyuan district, but we didn’t go for either because we had a kid with us who slept at 9 every night. So I wouldn’t know what we missed. Apparently that was the last week they would have shows because it would be too cold after that. Lunch and dinner we’re not provided in the tour, but we’re ok with that, since we’ll be up the mountains or in the middle of sightseeing, so it helps that we had the freedom to choose what we wanted. Food was good if you like Asian food with lots of rice and delicacies drenched in chilli and oil. We love the rice and spice, but we constantly have to remind the waiter not to put oil in our food. Perhaps it’s just their way of staying warm in such cold seasons. All in all, it was an awesome trip and we’d love to book with TCT again if we come back to China.
- ShirleyN106008 days travelling to Beijing and Harbin - Jan 2020TCT did an excellent job on arranging the tour for me, their responses are fast and attentive to my needs, their tour guides are knowledgable and well-trained, to make sure my requirements are well taken care of. I would recommend TCT to anyone who is looking for a trouble-free and enjoyable tour if you are travelling in China, cos they will take care everything for you. Thank you, TCT!
- BackPacker21165900Excellent guidance by TCT in ChengduIt has taken me some time to write this script but it is a review that must be shared. In June 2019, my family had a small window of time to have a break and we decided to explore China, and with Top China Travel. Off course, as non-Chinese speaking tourists, language was a key consideration. That trip, put together entirely by Consultant Tracy Su, went superbly well. As we approached the end of the Singapore school terms in November, we decided to take another trip, again with guidance and advice by Ms Su. Our trip to Chengdu was expertly counselled by her: What is possible in terms of travel time; Where to visit, based on our interest; The interesting places that were open and sometimes, she advised us against certain trips because they were long haul as that is not what we wanted (i.e. we wanted a leisurely trip). Two trips in 2019 under the expert guidance of Ms Su - Expert advice, got the best guides on-the-ground, she called in to check on our trip (not frequent when you book private tours to other parts of the world), and ensure every detail was meticulously adhered to. Thank you to TCT and Ms Su for their expert service quality and culture. Also, special thanks to our guide – Snow – who attended to every detail of the trip. For example, on our evening trip to view the Sichuan Opera, she informed us of the crowds and how we should look after ourselves. Likewise, the trip to Qingcheng Shan. We enjoyed the trip and kudos to her for making it happen. For those looking to understand service quality from a China travel agency, look no further. We will be returning as customers to TCT.
- rlmiller99006 Days Haikou & Sanya Sunny Tour Dec. 2019 - Jan. 2020Lily, we have returned to Los Angeles and I wish to personally thank you for all of your several attentions. While I'm sure there will be an appropriate place for a formal review I will take the time here to express my appreciation for the professional way you and your company handled everything. We are very experienced travelers and I did something I would not ever do nor advise anyone to do: I picked your company at random off the internet based on what seemed to fit my goals without knowing anything about your company nor having any referrals from anyone who had worked with you before. This is risky and I assumed that risk with some hesitation. I am pleased that my initial instinct prevailed. Everything you did worked beautifully! We do not have a single complaint. For what it is worth, the local guide "Emily" was superior, and the driver did exactly what he was supposed to do. I would not hesitate to use again nor recommend you, your company, the local guide at any time in the future.
- janetg0h0010 day tour to Beijing-Xian-Zhangjiahie and Shanghai with 9 people in our groupWe were very disappointed with the hotel in Beijing as it is tucked in a small lane and we literally had to wheel our heavy suitcases to the main road taking us 10 mins or so. Moreover, it was in November and it was cold. There's absolutely no help from the tour bus driver or tour guide. Our group were mainly women and one guy was in a wheelchair. Very upsetting. Another incident was car transportation from Changsha airport to Zhangjiajie hotel. The tour stated the car drive would take us 4 hours. Instead it took us 8 hours! Our flight arrived Changsha airport at 6pm, When we reached our hotel, it was 2am in the morning! We were so tired and the next morning, our program started at 8:30am and we had to wake up at 6am to have breakfast and be ready by 8:30am. Totally upacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this tour company.
- ofortun008 Day Package - Beijingh, Xian, ShanghaiDependable, Thorough, Responsive I found TCT online, and after being contacted by TCT's Travel Consultant Brittany, I was in excellent hands as she created a private, 8-day, 3-city (Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai) tour for me. As a solo traveler, Brittany met all of my interests for a wonderful vacation and fascinating sight-seeing during the holiday season. Brittany always replied to my e-mail within 24 hours and she was always a call or text away during my time in China, in case that I needed assistance with anything. Everything with TCT was spot on: planning, reservations and pre-trip paperwork was handled efficiently, and all of the guides for the group tours were friendly, knowledgeable, dependable and spoke great English. Tina in Beijing, Nana and Lucas in Xian, and Kris in Shanghai were truly the BEST! The hotels were really nice while the front-desk employees were always accommodating to assist me with any questions and to ensure that I had a great time during my free time! The meals set up for our lunches were delicious, in-city transportation was good, and I had a FANTASTIC trip! The only negative that I can say is.....nothing! TCT was very dependable and trustworthy, as well as always a phone call or message away to meet my needs before and during my trip.
- irawatys202000Wonderful family trip to ChinaWe are family of 6 pax (2 adult, 2 kids and 2 senior), had a wonderful trip to China. We visited Beijing, Luoyang, Xian, Chengdu and Shanghai. I would like to thank to TCT for all the arrangement and support for my fam's trip. All the accomodation such as transportation, hotel, restaurant, driver and tour guide, time arrangement are prefect, escpecially the service and attitude. I specially thanks to Joyce, who had helped me from the beginning stage to arrange our trip with patiently and supportively. Wish TCT more success in the future !!
- rajajith00Guilin and YangshuoWe were a group of 9 persons ( 3 family) including 3 children. The China leg of our trip was planned from 22nd to 25th Dec. I have identified TCT as the travel service provider from Trip Advisor. Managed to get a Whatsapp contact from the website and got connected with the tour consultant Ms.Yocky. It was pretty smooth sailing from that point onwards. She helped me conclude a daily itinerary after reviewing various options. Offered us a flexible payment option as well. We arrived in Guangzhou on the 22nd Dec. Welcomed by TCT guide Ms.Julin at the airport exit. Transferred us to the Bullet train station and handed over the train tickets and helped with all necessary inputs to get into the right platform and train. At the Guilin station we were welcomed by Ms.Sera who was our tour guide for the next 3 days. Ms.Sera was extremely good with her English, flexibility and having great attitude. My son wasn’t feeling well the day we arrived at Guilin and Ms.Sera volunteered to take me and my son to the local hospital in the night.Overall she appeared to be a staff who does the extra mile to make the life easy for the customer. Overall I would highly recommend the services of TCT and I give 5Stars to Ms.Yocky for the outstanding efficiency with which helped arrange the trip and Ms.Sera for being a great tour guide. Note: a note for improvement suggestion. On our return train trip from Guilin to Guangzhou we ended up in 2 compartments of the train. 5 persons in one bogie/ coach and the rest in another one. We were booked in the business class and the train had only 10 business class seats. 5 in one coach and 5 in another coach. We should have told this upfront so that we could have planned the travel in another class. This was the only coordination issue I found. Please take note for such matters in the future.
- Bobbi S00Dependable, Thorough, ResponsiveWe found TCT online and, after being contacted by TCT's Joyce Tang, we were in excellent hands as she created a private, 13-day, 7-city (Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Guilin, Yangshuo, Hangzhou, Shanghai) tour for us, meeting nearly all of our interests (hiking, biking, cooking class, street food dinner, plus other hands-on, interactive experiences), and replying, within no more than two days, to our emails. Except for two unfortunate glitches (Hangzhou guide was at wrong airport terminal for our midnight-arrival flight, and Shanghai guide was late for our train arrival), everything was spot on: planning, reservations and pre-trip paperwork was handled efficiently (except maybe for information that was needed for our travel visas), nearly all of the guides were friendly, knowledgeable, dependable and spoke good enough English, hotels and meals were great, in-city transportation was good, and we had a FANTASTIC trip! The only negative I can say here is that, although we reached out to TCT for post-trip information two times, they did not reply back.
- prathibha7900Beijing Xian and ChengduTrip Beijing Xian Chengdu 9 day trip Agency ...Top China travel is an absolutely amazing agency . We had an agent called Yocky, who looked into the initial booking process. She was absolutely amazing ,looked into every aspect of our trip . She gave good guidance in the booking process. Our initial plan was to visit Yangtze but we later changed to Chengdu. Yocky was absolutely wonderful through out the process of booking and she was considerate to our needs. We had total of 6 members in our group.4 Adults and 2 kids . Trip Beijing was gorgeous and our guide Felix had excellent grasp if English, good knowledge about the place and very helpful . We were vegetarians and we were afraid it's going to be a major issue ,but to our delight ,guide Felix took us to excellent Chinese restaurants which served good vegetarian food. He suggested good shows in Beijing and was very helpful through out the 3 days we stayed. He is cordial to kids and considerate to guests. He picked us up at airport and dropped us back to Railway Station and waited until we knew the platform we need to board. Travel to xian by Bullet train was a different experience but only gripe we had was,we didn't have much space to keep our luggage but me managed OK. People are supportive and generally the country is very safe. Xian Is an absolutely amazing place. Terracotta warriors are a thing to see. Its beyond belief. Our guide there Grace was one of the best tour guides we met. Absolutely brilliant knowledge ,very well organized and extremely helpful . She absolutely understood our needs and knew what we wanted even before we asked . Our only gripe was we didn't stay long in Xian Trip to chengdu was again by a bullet train but this time we were well prepared to make sure our luggage had adequate space and our guide Grace helped us even there. Chengdu Is an interesting place . We had to take a day's break to yourself as we were getting tired after nearly 6 days with perfect plans directed by guides. We did some good shopping and the place itself is worth visiting. We went to see the Buddha statue and panda park and a few markets . Our guide here ,was good with English but wasn't that well organised and on last day we ended up at airport with very limited meal. As for hotels in various places. I wouldn't recommend Holiday Inn in Beijing as the rooms itself are very small for 3 people. AC is absolutely disgusting. We couldn't control the temperature . So it was hot in our room as hell even during winter with snow outside. Breakfast was OK with no.much vegetarian options but it was OK. Grand Nobel in Xian is a decent 4 star hotel but breakfast gain was depressing here. But accommodation itself is in the middle of city ,so easy to find nearby restaurants. In chengdu again we stayed in Holiday Inn express . Again the hotel stay was average but its located in an excellent place with nearby markets and close to IFC. Despite booking our trip nearly 2 months in advance the hotel didn't get rooms next to each other on Day 1. Breakfast was just ridiculous . But in general we enjoyed by he trip and for the money we paid it was definitely value for money. I would recommend Topchina travel to anyone considering travelling to China. As such immigration process in China is simple and people are very considerate and truthful. Use good translate apps and you should be OK.
- 318vasanthb0010 Days Private Tour of China - Xian, Beijing, Chengdu, ZhangjiajieYocky - Our TCT Travel consultant - 5* to the excellent service she provided. She was just an instant message away for any queries anytime. She made our trip memorable & fabulous. The private tour was well arranged with fabulous English speaking Guides. We visited 4 cities - Xian , Beijing, Chengdu, Zhangjiajie . All arrangements were made before we arrived at each place and the English speaking guides were waiting at each place to pick us up and made us comfortable. Felt like traveling with a friend than a guide as they were very friendly and took care of us really well. All arrangements like Hotel / Travel / Car / Guides were all top notch and there was not a single moment I felt uncomfortable with the arrangements made for us by Yocky. Thanks Yocky for all the efforts you put in for us and I would love to work with you again ! Thanks Again Yocky !! YOU ARE A ROCK STAR !!!
