    A Memorable Experience
Jenny is an awesome guide! She made me feel very welcome and went out of her way to make sure I had a special experience. We spotted a group of hockey players playing on a frozen reservoir below the Great Wall. I had my hockey gear and was able to join in. What an experience!

If you have more than an 8 hr layover in Beijing, do this!
We had a 9 hr. Layover in Beijing on our way from Bangkok to the U.S. so I booked a 4.5 tour to go see the Great Wall of China which was on my wish list of aces to see on the world. I was sceptical that it would work out, not knowing anything about the area or how China works in terms of transit visas. But it all worked out quite nicely! William, our guide, met us at the exact time and place he described in our correspondence ahead of time, provided us with bottled water and warm puffy jackets to wear at the Wall, and drove us 90 minutes to the Mutianyu village portion of the Great Wall. Great conversation along the way. We tobaggoned down the mountain too which was a super fun! We definitely felt that we had just enough time at the wall and he got us back tot he airport with plenty of time to clear security to board our flight home. We were exhausted when we got there, having taken a red eye from BKK and were wondering if we should just sleep at the airport but we are SO glad we rallied and did this outing! Totally worth the time and money! It was a dream come true to see the Wall and to learn a bit about the area and China in General. Definitely recommend this if you have enough time!

    Very efficient layover tour
I did this layover tour with my husband and we actually tried to do it earlier in the year but due to a flight delay had to initially cancel- they fully refunded our tour that time which was very seamless and helpful. When we finally got to do the tour Nov 2019 we had a great time. Our tour guide, Alice Ji, was excellent. She was easy to find at the airport, spoke impeccable English, and was accompanied by a very efficient, but safe, and warm driver. We saw both the Great Wall and Forbidden City on our tour which was awesome. We were able to fit everything in in a relatively short about of time but never felt rushed. Highlight of the trip was tobogganing down the Great Wall which was super fun. Alice was also really great about taking photos for us at all of the most scenic parts. Would highly recommend this tour, and especially Alice if you are so lucky to get her!

Great tour in just 6 hours as part of the layover in Beijing Airport
During our 8 hours layover in Beijing Capital Airport (PEK) we had a great short tour to Mutianju Great Wall. Just a short and very interesting 90 minutes drive from and to the airport. Very nice English speaking staff. My contact person Adela took great care of me up-front by email and answered all my questions. I transferred a pre-payment by Paypal and paid the rest in Euros including the lift up to the wall. Next time we will visit Beijing city center with Layover Tour Beijing.

    22 hours layover
A 22 hours layover in Beijing presented an opportunity to visit a couple of sites: the Great Wall of China and the Olympic Sports Arena. We took an airport tram, a train, a bus, a taxi, a shuttle bus, a cable car and a subway to get to the different historic sites!

GREAT PRIVATE TOUR 8H Great Wall & Tienamen Square
I booked this tour 3 days before I landed in Beijing. I had a layover of 10 hours and I booked a private tour (2pm-10pm) to visit the Great Wall and Tienamen Square. I had such a GREAT TIME with my guide WILLY, he speaks FLUENT ENGLISH, he's funny and he was aware of my needs. He explained a lot of things and showed me many different places. We had very interesting conversations about the chinese culture, our lifes, we had so much fun. I loved walking on the Great Wall, Willy knew all the best spots to get good shots and I really enjoyed having a traditonal chinese dinner together. I can defintely recommend to take the tour with him!

    Layover Tour
This was my first ever layover tour and it was great! I had been hesitant to book it from past stories I had heard. I’m glad we did it! William was our guide and he was very good with communicating where he was at and patiently waited for us as we were a little over 30 min late due to our flight. William had water for us in the car and explained everything. He was very aware of our needs and getting us back to the airport on time for our flight home. Definitely would recommend this tour and William as a guide!

    A Memorable Experience
We had a 13 hour stopover in Beijing and thought it would be a good opportunity to see the main sites rather than sit in the airport all day. After contacting Layover Tour Beijing I received a prompt reply and was given some suggestions on how best to use the time we had. Upon landing in Beijing we followed our comprehensive instructions to obtain our day visa and made our way to Starbucks outside the arrivals hall. There we had the good fortune to be met by William Du, our friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, informative and humorous guide. William took us to see the Great Wall, Summer Palace, Chang’an Avenue and Tiananmen Square. William was with us every step of the way, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. We talked and laughed for hours and the time went by so quickly that before we knew it we were being dropped back at the airport. I can’t recommend this company highly enough. I urge anyone with a layover in Beijing to contact William for a truly memorable experience.

Great Beijing Tours and Airport Pick Uo
I used this company various times while on layover in Beijing for airport pick in which the drivers were friendly and punctual. On one occasion my plane was delayed to Beijing and arrived early morning and he was there waiting for us. I contacted Willy many months before to arrange my visit to Beijing and tours and there good communication. he was always quick to reply. I had the same driver/guide that picked me up at airport that did Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Summer Palace Tour. He was able to communicate well in English and was friendly. He helped buy our tickets and dropped us if and then told us where to meet him for pick up. The other layover tour I took was with Jonny. He was very professional and his English proficient to be also our guide to Mutianyu Wall layover tour. He picked us up at hotel and then explained on our way to the wall the new buildings, business area and info on city of Beijing. After a drive to Mutianyu he physically went with us and we toured the wall with him.He gave us a brief history and he bought our tickets and took the lift and toboggan following us the entire time. What a great experience and trustworthy, friendly and dependable guide. Both times the guides we had got us to the airport on time and assisted us on arrival and departure.

Great wall and forbidden city tour
The trip went very well. Our tour guide William (Layou) was very helpful and spoke English quite well. He also made great conversations. We had a bit of a longer layover than the tour so he dropped us off a a different point in Beijing rather than the airport. Definitely recommend this service.

We had the best time with Willy Du as our tour guide to see the Great Wall of China on our 8-hour layover in Beijing. This was the first time either of us did something like this (and on very little sleep!!) and it went flawlessly! The only minor hold up we encountered was acquiring a 24-hour Visa to leave the Beijing airport for the day...it took way longer than expected, as it was a guessing game at some point and not so organized, in our opinion. We stressed a little about meeting our tour guide because we got delayed with that and we did not have phone service but he was still there waiting! Yay!
We met our tour guide, Willy, at a coffee shop in the airport and he took us straight to his car, which was very nice (had water waiting for us & snacks), and on to the Great Wall! Willy was very knowledgeable and made us laugh a lot, and his English was very good. We made a stop in this small village to try dumplings for the first time on the way to the wall. Cool cultural experience. We went early in the morning with hardly anyone there, which was amazing!!! It was frigid temperatures outside and we were not fully prepared, as we were flying to Thailand & had mostly light clothing. Willy provided us with super warm jackets, as a sweatshirt, dollar store socks, & a beanie do not cut it haha. We took a chairlift up to the wall and began our tour of the Great Wall with WIlly. We walked a portion from the Ming Dynasty, in which he knew a lot about the history, different sections of the wall, watchtowers, etc.
He also gave us our time alone to wander along the wall and take it all in. Incredible views and such an incredible (and once in a lifetime) experience being there.
Willy Du was such a fun and kind tour guide who provided us with lots of pictures and videos (he taught us how to say, "you're handsome and you're beautiful" in Mandarin and filmed us on the wall trying to be cute with one another). Another highlight at the Great Wall was our exit down the mountain...we opted to toboggan down!!! Such a thrilling and chilly way to end our amazing time there. Willy hooked us up at the end with some authentic gifts for our travels (Thanks Willy!!!) and was cool enough to sign my backpack and write The Great Wall in Mandarin. Woohoo!! We made our connecting flight to Thailand with no issues at all and Willy made sure we knew where to go at the airport and that we were comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in China and conversing with Willy. Would recommend this company over and over again!!! Totally worth it. Thanks again Willy, you're awesome!!!! We'd love to come back. Please come to the States one day and we'll show ya around!!! :D

We had an 8 hour layover in Beijing & decided to book this trip last minute the night before. Willy was super accommodating and was able to provide us with all of the information we needed quickly.

Our initial flight into Beijing was also delayed, but Willy still planned everything out perfectly so we still had ample time to do the tour and be back at the airport. Water bottles and snacks were provided in the car, so this was super nice!

In addition, Willy is so awesome! He's a great English speaking guide and overall just an interesting and knowledgeable person. He was able to answer all of our questions and I feel like I learned a lot about Chinese history and culture. It was also freezing in Beijing, but thankfully Willy had jackets for us to wear! He's also a great photographer and took lots of photos for us. He even made a short video with all of our pictures.

This tour was definitely worth it!! Not only were we able to sneak in one more amazing site before heading home, but we also learned a lot too!

Y’all this is my first time traveling solo and I couldn’t be happier with my amazing tour guy I got. William was just amazing, he made me feel very welcome and we had cool conversations. I had a blast on this tour. Not only is he an amazing tour guy but also an amazing Photagrapher!!!! Like y’all have no idea the amount of great pictures he took of me (felt like I was doing a personal photo shoot.) Also the price for a private tour was way cheaper compare to other tours

We had a 12 hour layover in Beijing on our way back from Bangkok and I wanted to find something to do while we waited for our flight. I searched for layover tours after seeing a recommendation on Reddit and paid for a great wall tour after reading some great reviews. I messaged Willy the day before while in Bangkok and he responded immediately. We paid via PayPal and had a confirmation shortly after.

Willy picked us up at 6AM on the dot and gave us the option of visiting the main great wall entrance and getting a pass to avoid the line, or heading to another secluded entrance an hour farther. We went with the farther option (partly so we could sleep more on the way) and we got there just in time for sunrise.

The second, more secluded option is the way to go. We hiked up a path to a completely empty stretch of the Great Wall. The sunrise was absolutely spectacular and our guide had an encyclopedic knowledge of Chinese history relating to the construction of the wall and he spoke excellent English. We didn't have any warm clothing since we were returning from Thailand, and he even had winter coats for us to wear!

This was one of the best highlights of my trip to Asia. Willy is great company, a great conversationist, and an even better photographer. He took SO many great pictures of us. We were starving after hiking the wall and he even took us to a small dumpling shop in a village on the way back to the airport. We pigged out and got back to the airport with time to spare.

I'd recommend this tour to anyone I know. It's an excellent deal for the price and you won't be disappointed.

We recently climb to Mount Fuji and had a layover in Beijing back to Chicago. Book a tour of the great wall and couldn't be happier. Add an English-speaking guide which helped out a lot. Would highly recommend if you have a layover in Beijing and want to see the Great Wall

Myself and Barbara were picked up promptly at 6:00am at Beijing Airport by Jack our tour guide and taken to the Great Wall in a very comfortable car

Jack spoke very good English and was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about The Great Wall as well as being happy to answer any questions we asked about China

At the Great Wall itself after taking the cable car up to the wall as we were limited for time, and after a briefing by Jack on the wall, we were left to ourselves to explore the wall and then after about an hour and a toboggan ride back to the start we were taken back to Beijing Airport by Jack in plenty of time to catch our plane back to the UK

I would thoroughly recommend this company and if you have a long layover at Beijing definitely go to The Great Wall as it was well worth the effort and saves sitting around getting bored doing nothing in Beijing Airport

Had an 8 hour layover in PEK and didn't want to just sit in the airport. Booked with William and everything went great, just as the many reviews on here will attest to. All the details for how to get out of the airport were very clear and got back to the airport in plenty of time. William is also a great conversationalist and we had great discussions along the way. 10/10

We had a long to see “The Great Wall of China” and our lucked favored when we got connected to “Layover Tour Beijing”.
In the morning we were picked up from the hotel by our wonderful tour guide Jonny. We saw The Great Wall, The Forbidden City and Tianamen Square. Tony was very informative and a great tour companion. He was with us all the time and took family pictures. At the end of trip he dropped us at Airport and even escorted us till security check point.
This trip was organized by Willy. He gave us a very good rate for this trip. We had a great experience overall.

He was very nice, offered me water and was very kind. Spoke good English! I highly recommend Jonny and this company. I had a great time.

I booked last minute because I didn't want to sit in the Beijing airport for 9 hours and really wanted to see the Great Wall. I travel solo most of the time and didn't want to navigate the city or anything on my own, my Mandarin is terrible like I think I told everyone "I need to go to the bathroom" instead of "Thank You" terrible, so I thought this was worth a shot. Jonny was AWESOME! I had an early pick-up, he took care of EVERYTHING, even didn't mind me napping in the car after my red-eye. Once we made it to the Wall he knew his way around - seemed like he actually knew everyone there, and we explored with ease. Jonny provided all the history and info I needed and knew the best photo spots. Then we zoomed down the hill and back to the airport in perfect time. Wish I had more time in Beijing, but this totally hit the spot.
