I have been in touch with multiple tour operators for a stopover tour but communication with Tony was actually making progress. A pickup from the hotel, a tour right at the opening time of the wall and a drop-off at the airport.

The van was very comfortable and clean. Tony /tourguide was the best! Speaks English very well & told us alot of history.

We went to a tour to the Great wall with Tony, he was so kind, helpfull, he told the story of the wall, took some pictures of us and recomended good places and restaurants where we could spend the rest of our time in Beinjing. We tried the toboggan slide at the Wall, Tony offered to us, and it was a blast. Highly recommended. Thank You Tony, We had a good time.

Tony was a fantastic tour guide. We had a wonderful experience visiting the Great Wall. Tony’s communication with us before and during the trip was 10/10. He was knowledgeable and easy to get along with. The day felt very safe and visiting the wall was a once in a life time opportunity!

I have now booked three tours during layovers in Beijing. The first I went with my daughter ons. City tour which was amazing. We repeated the tour the next time but also managed to fit in The Forbidden City. Both of these city tours were excellent and the guides were fantastic. On the way home from Sydney we only had 7 hours but we managed to fit in a tour to The Great Wall. This was a part that was not touristy and felt completely authentic. It was just as I had imagined seeing The Great Wall but with no other tourists! Definitely we will use on our next trip to Australia and can recommend to anyone. For information - if you have dual UK/Aussie passports, go in on the Aussie one as you don’t need to queue for the temporary visa. Which makes shorter trips a possibility. Thank you Tony. Fantastic tour to the Great Wall during a layover in Beijing. Our flight arrived an hour early and Tony came to the airport early as he checked the flight arrival time, so we left earlier than scheduled to maximize the time we could spend on the wall before sunset. We had a great journey there and back, the car and the driver were great. Tony came up to the wall with us, which was great as we had a lovely chat, he shared some stories and took amazing photos of us at sunset. Communication before the trip was good as well, Tony shared instructions on getting out of the airport and obtaining the visa waiver, which was a lot quicker than I thought, there was no queue. The whole trip was about 5 hours and we got back with plenty of time to spare until our next flight. It's doable in 4 hours as well, as you can decide how far you want to walk on the wall (within limits of course). Overall, this was a great tour, and I would totally recommend you book Tony's tour!

Tony was super informative and quick to reply questions before the trip, which was awesome. Pick up was smooth and the trip to the wall was nice in a very good and clean car with a super driver, very comfortable. Our best recommendations hereby given!
