Pick you up at the hotel at 8am in the morning.
Visit the Tiananmen Square, considered the heart of Beijing. Marvel at the square, the world's largest public space, and take in the sights around it, including the National Museum of China, and Monument to the People’s Heroes.
Next, head inside the magnificent Forbidden City, the world’s largest imperial palace, and the seat of 24 Chinese emperors from the 15th to the 20th centuries. Take a walking tour of the main halls and courtyards as you learn about the emperors who lived and ruled from this secret world.
Afterward, take your pick from the Chinese restaurants recommended by your guide, and relax over lunch (own expense), before paying a visit to the idyllic Summer Palace, the summer retreat of China’s imperial families.
Stroll around the exquisite lakes, pavilions, bridges, and gardens as you learn how the park was used as a playground and office by the emperors from 1750 on. Your tour then finishes with a hotel drop-off.
