Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huai Rou County on the north-east of Beijing. This section of the Great Wall is about 75 KM from the center of Beijing. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. I had a long layover in Beijing and opted for this tour. I was picked up very early by my English speaking Chinese guide, Joyce. She was so open to answering all of my questions, sharing her country's history and showing me all there was to see. After a good walk up the wall, we took the toboggan back down - so much fun! Then, we stopped at a tea shop for tasting...a fun experience... Before a quick lunch. It was such a fun, immersive experience and a quick " taste" of Chinese culture. Best of all, I was back to the airport in plenty of time for my flight... And I slept really well after all that walking!!! Thank you Joyce!

Just spent a wonderful afternoon with Linda and our driver, Sie, for our first time trip to the Great Wall of China. Thank you Lily for running such a great tour company and sending these two to provide us with a fantastic experience.
Linda was waiting for us in our hotel lobby and was quite prompt. We enjoyed a comfortable ride to the Great Wall with a stop at the Jade factory where we picked up souvenirs for our daughters.
We were impressed with the excellent English spoken by Linda and with her wealth of knowledge we learned a lot about the origin of the Wall.
We require a little patience and extra help in our senior years and Linda was so kind.
And she quickly became our photographer too!! Thank you so much Linda - we have such a lovely day and beautiful memories💛

This half day excursion was worth every penny. Our guide, Sally, was an absolute delight and handled every aspect of the tour for us. The drive out was in a comfortable air conditioned mini-van. Sally handled getting the tickets and ensured we had loads of interesting and valuable information as our tour progressed. You have lots of opportunity to walk on the wall. There were others around, but there were moments when we felt we had the wall to ourselves! Worth every penny, cent or shilling.

Absolutely amazing. Lisa was an absolute angel. She picked me up with a very nice driver who supplied water and such. Her English was perfect and she was super sweet as a person. It felt more like family showing me the sights as apposed to a tour guide. Learning the history was very interesting and all my questions were answered! The great wall of course had a spectacular view and Lisa was kind enough to take some photos of me and well as a selfie with her. We went and grabbed lunch together and she took me to buy some beautiful pieces of jade. I will never forget the wonderful experience. By far the best tour I have been on during my visit to Beijing. Would book through her again and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a once in a lifetime experience!

Great private walking tour of the great wall. Linda gave a great overview of the wall’s history. Good walking pace and we were able to go at our own leisure. Many shops were closed so the meal was just ok. But highly recommend Linda as a guide.

Had an absolutely wonderful trip with our guild Jerry! Not only was he a fountain of knowledge when it came to the Great Wall and it’s history but he also knew where all the best spots to take all the pictures and selfies you need.
