We had a great one-day experience with Lilia as our guide. The company was very responsive both via email and Whatsapp. We saw Temple of Heaven in the AM and Forbidden city in the afternoon. Keep in mind you need to let the travel service know you want to go in advance so they can get tickets to the Forbidden City/Mao's mausoleum. The government caps daily attendance. They were flexible with our request to go to Dadong Restaurant, one of the top peking duck restaurants in the city. It was *phenomenal*. They also helped us save a few bucks by taking Didi (the Chinese uber) since the sites were so close to each other and we were only 3 people. Lilia had a great read on our group - one couple and one older individual. She paced the walking tour at a manageable speed and gave us the right amount of information. At no point did we feel pressured to go shopping, which is a common ploy for tourist companies to get kickbacks. Going private was a great route, because they we could customize what we wanted to see and what we spent our money on.

This was a great tour with a great guide - my driver was Mr.Ping from Leo’s private tour company and he was awesome!! I booked the tour last minute (11pm the night before) so I was worried that no one would even see my reservation. However, Mr. Ping reached out to me in the morning to confirm all the details. He came and picked me up from my hotel lobby at 1pm. From there we headed to the wall. The drive there is even awesome! You pass a huge lake and can also see the Mutianyu section of the wall as well as some others. The mountains are also gorgeous. There was a nice gas station that we stopped at for the restroom/snacks about 1h40m into the drive. (There was no toilet paper fyi). Then we drove the rest of the way to the wall. Mr. Ping knew a lot of interesting facts about the wall and also had fun stories from his own experiences. He also pointed out interesting things in Beijing (like an old city wall). Even though it was just him and I for the long drive (3 ish each way) it was not dull. Once we got there, he was able to drive all the way up to the parking lot so we did not need to use the shuttle bus. After that, it was a little hike up to the wall. There seemed to be unlimited distances to go in either direction but we were limited by the sunset. Beautiful section of the wall. Throughout the whole thing, Mr. Ping was a great photographer and was very encouraging. The sunset was absolutely stunning. I would 100% recommend this to anyone and would also specifically recommend Mr. Ping!

Probably a very busy area in the summer months. Not a lot of people today. Walked to where we could see the dam and the dragon guarding it. You take six escalators, inside the dragon, to get to the top of the dam. A cable car comes across from the other side of the gorge and disappears up the canyon behind us. We walked to the boats and climbed aboard. We had to use life jackets. Cruised upriver under tall, rugged mountains shrouded in smog. We made one stop to climb up 200 steps to Jingang Temple which was not very impressive. We got out of our boat on the opposite side of the gorge, where the cable car station is located and walked down to the base of the mountain through a tunnel to our car and departed.

Gubei was a beautiful town. Whole family enjoyed the trip. Very cold this time of year though. Jack was our driver; his helpfulness and positive attitude made our trip even better.

Mr. Ping from Leo’s private tour provided excellent service throughout our trip. We had booked a two day tour seeing Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Tianamen Square and Forbidden City. Mr. Ping was punctual, flexible and communicated well throughout our trip. He was knowledgeable about the sights, Beijing and China. He shared with us some fun facts and stories about Ming and Qing Dynstasies which we found super interesting. We had a great time with Mr. Ping who kindly offered to take great photos for us. We signed up for our 2nd day trip with Leo's tour agency, and Andrew was assigned to send us to Gubei Water Town and Simatai Great Wall. Andrew was friendly with an easygoing personality. He was punctual, and the car was in excellent condition. The 2-hour ride to Gubei was smooth and pleasant. Andrew answered our questions on Gubei and Simatai patiently and guided us to the ticketing counter and then to the entrance of Gubei. Gubei Water Town was as Andrew described, with many little shops, eateries, and olden days architecture. We had a nice walk around before taking the cableway to the entrance of Simatai Great Wall. The surrounding view from the Great Wall was simply breathtaking! We took many memorable pictures. We had dumplings for lunch at Gubei before meeting up with Andrew for our journey back to the hotel. Many thanks to Leo and Andrew for making the trip a once in a lifetime experience. So glad we signed up with you.

We had an excellent tour guide Snow and driver, Master Shi for our tour to the Summer Palace in the morning and the Forbidden City in the afternoon. Snow is effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin. She provided us with detailed insights to the background of the Summer Palace and Forbidden City, bringing to life the various characters that played major roles in shaping the history of China. For lunch, Snow brought us to a restaurant that served the most delectable dumplings. She also suggested tourist sites we can visit on our free days and recommended other eating places we should try in Beijing. Master Shi's smooth and careful driving skills were greatly appreciated as he maneuvered through the heavy Beijing traffic. Very thankful to Leo for his quick responses to my queries when arranging our day trip. I am so glad to have joined your tour.
