I An absolutely wonderful experience on this day tour - My tour guide Jerry can to pick me up from my hotel in Beijing with a private driver and we went straight to Tiananmen Square where Jerry and I walked me through security with VIP treatment and then continued through the square with Jerry providing excellent information on each building and allowing me to ask questions and take pictures along the way. Next we crossed to the Forbidden City where we once again received VIP access and continued the tour all through the Forbidden City with very informative and interesting commentary from Jerry for approximately 2 hours - this is a massive city and you could just tour the square or the city but I only had one day to spend in Beijing so I opted for the shorter tour. Next we traveled to Mutianyu about 2 hours from the Forbidden City, stopping along the way at a wonderful Jade shop where we had a delicious lunch and then continued through Mutianyu to the shuttle stop for the Great Wall. Jerry took care of everything and I received first class treatment the entire time. We took the shuttle to the chair lift which takes you to the top of the wall, and I hiked on the wall for an hour before returning by toboggan back to the shuttle stop. I went to a Tea Shop where they performed a traditional tea service and there was lots of opportunity to shop for souvenirs before I was returned to my hotel in the late afternoon. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it.

If you want to visit Beijing I recomend to take the best guide possible that will make your life easier while there. Nicholas Wang is a very serious, professional, nice and fun guide that will help you take the experience on another level. He knows all the best spots that will impress you and that will take visiting Beijing on another level. We truly made the most of our day. Thanks to our guide Maggie, we were able to learn, take photos and enjoy the day without stress. From starting at the Forbidden City (seeing Tian’anmen square from afar), then making our way to the Summer Palace, followed by an on the spot addition of a tea experience (free, delicious, only pay for what you buy), some lunch at a great local restaurant (all ordered by Maggie and included), and ending the official part of the tour with the Temple of Heaven (at sunset 😍). To top it all off, Maggie managed to arrange last minute tickets to an acrobatics show which was great - very talented performers. She made sure we arrived on time, got to our seats and had a ride home (lovely driver all day). Thank you Maggie for your kindness, efforts to go above and beyond, and for helping us learn more about each spot and other cultural points. This private and personalised tour really helped us see and do so much, all in a comfortable way.

Lingling is an awesome tourguide. Her English is very good and she really goes the extra mile for you. She even took us to as restaurant for some real Beijing cuisine after the tour was already over. Highly recommend you booking a tour with her when you’re in Beijing.

We had an incredible time in Beijing thanks to Ling Ling. She spoke great English, was super friendly, and really knew her stuff. She made every stop interesting and fun. A review cannot describe how truly amazing this once in a lifetime tour with Lucy was. We spent hours walking through Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, and Lucy’s knowledge and passion for Chinese history made me feel as though I had been transported back in time. We visited a beautiful Jade gallery and the lovely employees were attentive and thorough, explaining the quality of the jade pieces and its importance in Chinese culture. Then Lucy and I had lunch and she was so attentive, ensuring I had a delicious meal. As we drove to the coup de grace of the tour, the absolutely breathtaking Great Wall of China, Lucy described its history with such vivid detail that when we arrived, it made the experience so much more meaningful. As a solo traveler, tour guides can have a profound impact on your experience when visiting a new country. Lucy made an unforgettable lifetime experience a magical one. My favorite part of the day was walking, talking and laughing with her as we walked the Great Wall.
