I had a great experience with this company for my solo trip to Mutianyu for the Great Wall. I messaged them the night before and they easily set up a day trip to accommodate my needs. My driver Sam Li came to my hotel in the morning to grab me, drove me to the Great Wall, helped me get a ticket and showed me to the shuttle bus. After exploring he met me back at the ticket office and even offered a gift from him to me. He was an excellent driver and I could not be happier with my experience! Highly recommend asking for him! This is perfect if you want to see only what you want! This driver was excellent and took us to the great wall, recommended which way and which tickets to buy, so we had a great time with this. Then he took us to the Summer Palace, and to other places we asked. Great communication with driver through wechat and also with the tour owner. The driver gets extra points, because my daughter left her sunglasses in the car and he returned them the next day! I would definitely recommend this tour!

I can highly recommend Jack and this company.we had only 15 hours for the transfer for our next flight, but it was enough to visit the great wall, the heaven temple and the Tiananmen Square. They are very professional. Wonderful car. Punctual. Driver very safe and helpful. He has basic English but enough to explaine us the needed things. He did also for us all the tickets for the great Wall. Free Water and fruit, we enjoyed Beijing and the Chinese culture. Thank you very much! I would like to chose again this company! I highly recommend this service!! Upon booking, manager and coordinator Jack Wang, was very responsive and worked through all the details prior to the trip. We communicated through WeChat in English and he let me know who was assigned as the driver along with the car type and license plate number the night before. The day of the transfer, Mr. Sam Li arrived 5 minutes before scheduled. He made the visit to Mutianyu Great Wall extremely smooth and easy as I was traveling with my elderly parents, who are not as mobile and are slower moving. Mr Li was an excellent and safe driver and was very patient, helping my parents in and out of the car, up and down stairs. He showed us where to get the Cable car tickets and escorted us to the shuttle bus that’s took us to the cable car entrance. He even had bananas and water for us to take along! After coming down the Wall, he took us to the Chinese restaurant inside the Wall’s Park and recommended the dishes to get that are more well known. (Get the dumplings!) Then after lunch, he took us to a roadside market to buy local fruits and chestnuts - which my parents very much enjoyed. Throughout the day, I was able to communicate with him through WeChat (there is an English translation option in the app so he can write in Chinese and I was able to easily translate) so as always able to find each other. Although his English is basic, you can see Mr Li really wants to help you have an enjoyable time. My parents do speak Mandarin, so they were able to converse and communications was not a problem for us. I had planned a second attraction as part of the transfer, but given my parents’ pace, we ran out of time for another location since the service is for 8 hours. But I didn’t mind at all because we all had a lovely time! Thank you Mr Wang and Mr Li!

We booked the tour yesterday as we were not very sure about our program till the very last moment. I would like to express our gratitude to the tour company. Very well organized and efficient service. We booked the time that suited us, the driver was waiting for us at the hotel and was very polite, with a new and clean car. He offered us fruits, water and internet. The service added a lot to our overall impression of the Great Wall. I strongly recommend using this company.

Based on reviews on TripAdvisor, we chose Beijing Laowang for our private transportation needs during our recent holiday in Beijing. We expected a small outfit with good track record and more personalized service. We were definitely not disappointed. From the start, Jack Wang was very prompt and efficient in replying to our email enquiries and made helpful suggestions regarding the transportation needs for our itinerary. Before travel date Jack also finalized the travel schedule, cost, and name and contact of the driver. In Beijing we were equally impressed by our driver David Li who took care of our airport transfers, trip to Jinshanling and Mutianyu sections of the Great Wall, and visits to 798 Art Zone, Olympic Green and the Summer Palace. David drove a new VW Passat which was very comfortable for a party of 3, kept the car clean, ensured each passenger got 2 bottles of water for every pick up, was always punctual and reliable, and drove very skillfully and safely. David has a pleasant personality and speaks basic English which was sufficient to ensure everybody’s on the same page. He helped us to get admission/cable car tickets at the Great Wall and the Summer Palace, and gave us clear instructions where to drop off and meet back with him at each attraction. He also gave good advice on where to shop, where to eat and places to avoid. (Tip: 1. Beijing LaoWang is a private transport service and not a guide service, so we need to do our own research on the attractions we intend to visit including ticket prices, cable car operation hours, how much time to spend at and how best to view each attraction etc; Tip2: Communication moves up a few notches if you know basic Mandarin or at least go online and find out the pinyin names of the attractions; Tip 3: Download WeChat before leaving your home country as this was how David and I easily communicated with each other when we were physically separated). We wish to thank Jack and David for making our holiday in Beijing a smooth and pleasant one.

We contacted Jack while in Beijing...we are last minute planners. Jack responded quickly, his English is great, it was easy to arrange our trip and he was able to give us advice. We were keen to go to Mutianyu section of The Great Wall. 3 big boys in our group. The price was better than the others and the fact he could carry up to 6 passengers made the biggest difference. We did not wish for a tour guide, as we do our own thing, and Jacks service fitted the bill perfectly. We pre-arranged 930am collection..getting 3 teenagers out of bed is a challenge. Jack was at our apartment in good time, he had prepared a bag of snacks (bananas and wrapped sweet items) for us, plus bottled water. On the way there he chatted with us about the building we passed, also played a short video re the history of the Wall. The drive was fascinating, having only used the Metro it was wonderful to travel through the city and countryside . His driving was great, We felt very safe. He helped us purchase tickets, we didn't think we would need assistance...but in the end it was much easier with him there. We planned a rendezvous time, and he was waiting for us. I definitely recommend Jacks services. We used email and Wechat . We contacted 2other drivers but Jack was the quickest to respond and his prices was great. We were lucky.

My husband and I were traveling to Beijing on a leisure trip and decided to book a half day tour with this company cause it seemed uncomplicated; and was true to that impression. We are not tour bus people, but with no car in Beijing, this seemed like a safe compromise. Jack was our driver/guide, and we had a wonderful experience. He gave us a brief background of what we were about to see on the Mutianyu section of the wall, which turned out to be much less crowded than the more popular sections. Jack helped us purchase tickets and then waited patiently while we hiked as much as we could in the hot sun. We had an outstanding experience, thanks to Jack. He arrived promptly at the hotel on time, and had us back by early afternoon so we could still explore more of this amazing city. I’d highly recommend this tour, and Jack, if you’re looking for transportation to/from the wall, and are conscious of spending your time wisely while in Beijing.

I emailed Jack directly as we wanted to plan our own day and not get ripped off with over priced tours His response was very quick and very reasonably priced Jack was very prompt in the morning and had a lovely clean car with plenty of space for our family of 5, he even provided water & snacks. We had a lovely drive to The Great Wall at the Mutianyu section where Jack then helped organise our tickets. We took the chair lift up then the toboggan down , it was breathtakingly amazing WOW We then stopped for some photos of The Birds Nest then visited The Summer Palace Jack had good English, and was a safe driver and gave us some good information Would definitely recommend Jack and use him again

jack drove me to the great wall and then showed me Pekin, all in the 10h I had for my stopover. He is a nice guy, polite, clean and respectful. His english is good and he pays attention to the details (and he knows a lot about the tickets, times, etc)

We were in Beijing during the Nov 2017 ASEAN summit, so a lot of road closures. However our guide showed up at our hotel lobby right on time despite some traffic , so we were on schedule to start our adventure. With only 1 full day in Beijing, we were not interested in tours that included factory visits, so having a design-your-own tour via Beijing Laowang is perfect! Our guide Jack is friendly, knowledgeable, with a relaxed vibe throughout the drive. His car is clean & he brought some snacks for the tour. Highly recommended.

Jack was so wonderful, he was so good about making sure that we were able to see everything we wanted to, he was flexible when we changed our minds and wanted to do something different instead.
