We had a short visa-free layover in Beijing and were able to enjoy a comfortable day heading to the Great Wall Mutianyu. Pickup at our hotel was prompt and we were able to bring our luggage since we were being dropped off at the airport directly. Everything about the trip was great - the drive was stress free, the Great Wall was a astonishing, and we were even able to get some delicious local food at a small in near the wall.

I just had to copy/paste this review I read because it is extremely accurate: Harry picked us up in our hotel in Beijing for a day trip to the Great Wall (Mutianyu). We left early in the morning to avoid traffic and lot of tourists at the Wall. Harry speaks fluent English and drives safely. His van is super clean and very comfortable with leader seats. Harry makes you feel great during the whole day (he is very calm) trip and explains you a lot about the sightseeing. He organized all the tickets needed for you, so that you avoid queueing. He also arranged for us the transfers. Harry is a great professional. We definitely highly recommend HARRY to anyone willing to visit the Great Wall!!

Hands down best of the 4 entry points from Beijing.... 2hrs from Beijing but well worth the journey..... Harry was a fantastic tour guide and i would highly recommend him to anyone lookg for a private tour guide in Beijing!!

Harry, our guide, collected us on time from our hotel in Beijing. The journey to Jingshanling was smooth, very comfortable and Harry couldn't have been more helpful. Harry showed us various route options depending on how long/far we wanted to walk and stayed with us until we started the walk. We decided not to take the cable car and to walk up onto the wall which I am glad we did. We spent about 3 1/2hours walking a section from Brick Crenel to East Five Window Tower and back down a made up track to East Gate where Harry had driven around to meet us. The first section was well maintained and easy going, although a fair amount of uphill. The second section (after the point you can get the cable car back down again), was not so well maintained and very steep in places. The climb up was hard work but really worth it for the views. The wall snakes across the tops of the mountains for miles and was breathtakingly beautiful. It was a fantastic experience and I cannot recommend Harry highly enough should you ever get the opportunnity to walk the Great Wall. 5 stars +

What an experience for my husband and I. We had a great tour trip to Jinshanling And our driver (and guide) Harry took care of us. He was so helpful to our every need. I must say Harry is amazing! Our tour couldnt be better.

We had a layover in Beijing on Air China on our way to Thailand. My sister had the same layover last fall and had gone to the Great Wall. I actually looked into the tour she did, but picked Harry instead due to his great trip advisor reviews. Harry is the best! He was waiting for us at the airport, right where he said he would be and was ready to go! Harry is so nice, polite and will talk as much or as little as you want. He knew the answers to all of our questions, and was a great driver. It was very hot when we were there (over 100 F!) so it was nice to be in his air conditioned van. We also went to The Forbidden Palace and Harry was super helpful in navigating Beijing, getting us tickets and recommending a delicious, local Peking duck restaurant that we never would have been able to go to without him since we don’t speak Chinese! We will always treasure our visit to the Great Wall and seeing Beijing. It really is an amazing experience to walk along the Great Wall. Truly gorgeous. And we have Harry to thank for taking photos of us!

Three of us booked a bespoke tour of the Mutianyu Great Wall and the Ming Tombs (Dingling and the Sacred Way), after I had spoken to Harry on WeChat beforehand, which made the process smooth and simple. Harry picked us up from our hotel (which was not particularly accessible in a small hutong, with most taxis refusing to go down the alley), arriving early and kindly providing us with water in his comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. He took us to an authentic Chinese breakfast canteen on the way to the Great Wall, and rode with us on the bus and ski lift to the top of Mutianyu, where he gave us a historical introduction before leaving us to our climb. We returned after a few hours and he was waiting for us at the main building. He then drove us to the Dingling Tomb, waiting for us once more, before dropping us off at one end of the Sacred Way and meeting us at the other end, to save us walking back. He then dropped us back at our hotel, and was professional in sorting out the costs for the day, which was an incredibly reasonable price for the amount of driving and activities we had packed in. We were so impressed with his careful driving, and polite and efficient service that we booked him for our airport transfer later in the week. Once again, he was prompt and professional, driving a lot more carefully than many other Beijing drivers, and got us to our terminal in excellent time. Overall, I think all three of us would highly recommend Harry to any travellers in Beijing. I was particularly pleased with the fact that he allowed us to have a bespoke tour, as we couldn't find any other company which offered Mutianyu and the Ming Tombs in an easy, one-day combination.

We are from Las Vegas, NV... and we had the best trip. 2 couples, Harry picked us up in his clean and nice van, had water bottles for us, and speaks the best English of any driver we met in Mainland China. He drove very safe, and was very nice. He waited for us and took photos. When I come back, I will be booking Harry again! Thank you Harry!!!

Harry Xu was an outstanding host to me, my wife and our one year old son. He had great tips and advice to make our day more efficient and enjoyable. He also was more than patient with our tired little one, who had a few melt downs during the day. His local advice, knowledge and kind hearted attitude were just what we needed to enjoy an outstanding day of sight seeing in Beijing!

FIVE STARS! My two friends and I were in Beijing last month and booked private tour with Harry on the recommendation of a friend. We visited the Jinshanling portion of the Great Wall (~2 hours outside of Beijing). Although the drive is longer than the typical 45 minutes to the Mutianyu section it was more than worth it. We were looking to do some hiking and visit a non-touristy portion of the wall and this section of it did not disappoint. We basically had the place to ourselves and the views were incredible. Booking was Harry was a flawless process. A member of our group was able to chat with him easily (in English) via WeChat and he provided great guidance and recommendations based on what we were looking for in our tour. He picked us up at our hotel exactly on time and had waters as well as a portable charger available for our use. His car was roomy and comfortable, and was also equiped with bluetooth so we were able to play music along the way. Once we arrived at the Wall he helped us buy tickets and hiked up to the start of the wall, sharing some history and answering our questions along the way. He even took some pictures for and with us. We ended up hiking a segment of the wall (point A to point B) and Harry was ready and waiting for us when we arrived at point B. His lunch recommendation (a small, local noodle place) was delicious. On the way back to Beijing we stopped at Gubei Water Town, which Harry was recommended. It was a really near little village and we enjoyed wandering around the town, trying some small bits and popping into the trinket stores. We all 100% recommend Harry and would book with him again if we return to Beijing!

My family and I went to the Great Wall twice, 9 years apart (2009 and 2018). Harry was a recommendation from a local Beijing resident who we hired as our driver both times. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. His English was very good and my Caucasian husband had no trouble communicating with him whatsoever. Harry is a great guy and we would not hesitate to recommend him to any of our friends looking for a wonderful Great Wall and Summer Palace experience! 10/10!

Mr Harry had been a very wonderful and patient guide. He took us to the Great Wall (mutianyu) and also summer palace. Along the way, he gave us enriching information about China’s culture (northern and southern parts), history and more about new China. He is a very safe and careful driver too. During our trip at summer palace, we agreed to meet outside a particular exit but we couldn’t find our way to that exit and ended up somewhere else, he was very patient to guide us to where to meet him. He wasn’t irritated at all as compared to another guide I had years ago. Thank you Mr Harry for everything.
