After meeting your guide and driver at your hotel at 8am, you will head to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Upon arrival, take the cable car up to a platform and then the guide will accompany you on a hike along the great wall for around 2 hours. Round-trip cable car ride is included.
Afterwards, you will stop for lunch at the foothill of the great wall (at your own expense). Your guide will be happy to recommend a nice restaurant if you need.
After lunch, you will be transferred back to the downtown area to explore the Summer Palace. The imperial building was constructed by the emperor in celebration of his mother's birthday and is 675 acres (273 hectares) in size and composed of three main scenic areas: the palace area, lake area, and mountain area. One of the best ways to enjoy sightseeing at the Summer Palace is by taking a Dragon Boat on the lake, and you will have the opportunity to do so during this tour!
After the boat trip, you will stroll along the palace interior with your private guide. In the long corridor, which is considered as the longest art gallery in the world, you will see 14,000 traditional paintings painted on its beams.
At conclusion of the Summer Palace tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
