Wonderful experience at the Great Wall
We had a great day with Edward and Mr Zhang. Edward shared the history and stories behind The Great Wall, and a lot of information about Beijing and China. We had a comfortable ride to conserve our energy to climb the stairs and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. I highly recommend this tour.

Very Good Tour of the Lamastery and tasty DimSum
Prompt pick up at our hotel with a very nice minivan and excellent driver. Our guide was very sweet and answered all our questions, but sometimes the answers were a little difficult to follow. The Dim Sum breakfast was very tasty, and the Lamastery was interesting, and our guide tried to explain to us what each individual area meant, and showed us how to light the incense and say a prayer to the Buddhas. We definitely recommend the tour, but comparing it to the tour we had later that day which was a foodie tour through the Houtongs we can only give this one a 4 star rating. It was "very good" but not excellent.

          Great experience
The tour guide was knowledgeable and we went through the tour at a very comfortable pace. The tour guide was very detailed in guiding us where to meet and how to get to the venue.

Amazing tour with Alice and Li YangBing!
We had an amazing time on this tour! Everything ran smoothly and our tour guide was very knowledgeable on Chinese history. She answered all of our questions and took a lot of pictures for us. Our tour guide’s name is Alice, and we would definitely recommend her to everyone. We had a dim sum lunch and Alice knew exactly what to order for us! We chose the option with a private car, and it’s definitely worth it. Our driver Li YangBing was very personable and chatted with us in Chinese during our drive. He was very professional and told us he often drives foreigners around Beijing.

So glad to organise an event tht everyone was pleased by.......
If ever there was a venue whose menu perfectly fits its ambience this is it! Sixteen of us sat down to celebrate joint 40th birthdays and the whole experience couldn't have been bettered. There's not a vast choice but from the small plates ( butterfly prawns, sausage bites, mac and cheese, etc.) through to mains (burgers, tacos, salt beef sarnies, pizzas ) it was perfection. We'd pre ordered ,being a large party, and having arrived as planned at 1230hrs and ordered drinks our food was served on the dot of 1245hrs, as agreed. We were a diverse group from 2 to septuagenarian and everyone thought it was great. We'll be back again and from the compliments flying about so will all our guests

          Must see!
We had a wonderful time on this trip and it’s so worth the one-on-one tour guide! We toured with Edward and our driver Mr. Gao, and they gave us interesting info and tidbits about Chinas history. Be prepared for a lot of steps (which is to be expected!) We also stopped at a tea house for a quick lesson and a jade shop to learn China’s history with jade.

Fantastic day trip to Ming tombs and Summer Palace
We had a great experience with Jack, it was well planned and Jack shared a lot of fascinating historical anecdotes and points of interest during the tour. The Ding tomb is the only tomb where you can enter the underground crypt and this was such an eye opener compared to my previous visit to another of the Ming tombs where it was only the aboveground portion. We were very well looked after from the point of pickup until the end of the tour, with drinking water and snacks provided in the car. The pace of the tour was just right and not tiring at all. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone keen on visiting the Ming tombs and Summer palace.

Lovely layover tour with Beijing highlights
Jack was an amazing guide, he showed me around Beijing and shared interesting facts about the spots we visited, everything was very easy to organize, even an airport pick up and drop off so that I could see a glimpse of the city on my long layover. 10/10, would recommend to anyone!

          100% worth it!
Anson was amazing! When he picked us up he asked if we had eaten breakfast (we hadn’t), so he took us to an incredible local place where our breakfast came to under £2 for both of us and was incredibly tasty! After that we went to the Mutianyu and beat the crowds, he showed us all the best photo spots and took tons of us two together. Because the wall was quiet we finished it at around 11.15 and weren’t hungry, he recommended a tea house nearby which was a bonus experience! Lunch was amazing and the restaurant was also an experience within itself before then heading to the Huanguacheng tower. What a day!

Great tour, excellent tour guide in Jay
It was a quick tour of Beijing's old and new with a different perspective at night. Jay took really beautiful photos of us and spent the whole time telling us endless stories of Beijing especially Beijing's hutongs and life before and after the pandemic. We was an excellent (and different) tour of old and new Beijing!

Would recommend- great way to see Beijing attractions.
Very very good tour. We went with Miko and he is a rockstar. Very knowledgeable, does a great job with photography and he does a nice job both getting you to the forbidden city and Tian’anmen square in addition to talking through all the historical facts about the areas. He is also very knowledgeable about NBA and he speaks incredible English. Very happy with Miko!!!

Great Two Day Shore Excursion from the cruise port
Lucy was a terrific guide. She explained everything very well. Very knowledgeable about the places we went to see. There are a lot of government check points along the way and especially in Beijing at the sites. , Because we had a private guide, getting through these check points was a breeze. She even helped push my wife in a walker and assisted her to climb stairs. If there was a way to rate Lucy a 5 +, I would certainly do so. Our driver and Lucy communicated very well to make sure he was at the right place for drop off and pick up. Thanks Lucy for making our two day Shore Excursion in Beijing a very memorable experience. We had Lucy as our evening food tour guide. She was fantastic and shared a lot of information about Beijing and it’s food. We tried a wide variety of Beijing dishes, all of which were superb. If holy recommend this tour in Beijing! It’s a great first night activity as well so that you are introduced to the food right away and not afraid! Enjoy!

We had a wonderful time on our food tour with Jimmy! We started at “donkey burger” which turned out to be thinly chopped donkey meat in a flaky, pastry like roll. Our guide said it tastes like corned beef and he was right, surprisingly tasty! Then the tour continued with hot pot where you could add all the vegetables and meats you want, but save room for the many courses later! We stopped at a little window on the street for a savory pancake at a small window on the street and walked down a hunting neighborhood while eating the warm pancake.

Our next stop was a Muslim restaurant where we ordered lamb skewers (very tasty), naan bread, noodle soup, and yogurt. We also ordered the century egg which was dressed in oil and chili pepper. My husband declared it good while I would have probably said okay, but still worth trying just to say you’ve done it!

Our last two stops were at a soup dumpling place (so good!) and a little dessert cart where we ordered egg tarts and date cake. What a wonderful night with wonderful food for such a reasonable price! Thanks again Jimmy!

I highly recommend this tour since it's a great way to try a bunch of new things, in a neighborhood you may not be familiar with, and meet new people. Our guide, Cactus was wonderful and tailored the tour to our tastes as we sampled well over a dozen dishes. Come hungry!

My Husband and I booked our trip to China with a tour company, which ensured that we hit all the main tourist sites. However, booking with Lucy was a highlight.

The intimacy of just having Lucy with my husband and I was really fun because we felt like we were being immersed into the culture. She took us to multiple places where locals eat and we were able to sample all sorts of Chinese Cuisine. I just wish I would have been able to eat more!

As we walked from place to place she also would take different routes to show us interesting spots and give us facts and history about Beijing and China that we would have otherwise not have heard with our larger tour group.

When we met up with our group the next day we were able to teach them many things based off what we learned from Lucy.

I highly recommend it if you like to try new foods and want to feel immersed in the culture. Lucy is great, she felt like a friend instead of a tour guide by the end of our experience.

Overall, we enjoyed the personable experience and the story telling. We had our tour with Anson. And he made the tour very personable for us. He brought us to places where we would not have gone on our own. My favorite part besides the eating was the little tour of the hutongs. He shared with us the significance of the door ways which made our trip to the forbidden city more relatable. Food wise though, we're from Los Angeles which already have a lot of similar food and this tour gave us a new insights about the cuisine.

The food tour was one of the highlights of our trip to China! It was great to try lots of different things and be challenged to get out of our comfort zone. Becky's English is great and we had some really interesting conversations throughout the night about our different cultures, and the diverse cuisines throughout China. We learnt a lot and there's no better way to learn about a place than to spend time with someone who knows it! Becky was understanding when we didn't want to try the pig intestine but also challenged us to try things like chicken heart and the black noodles, which we are so glad we tried. Our favourite thing by far was the hot pot, it was delicious! It also gave us a great chance to explore the Beijing metro and walk through new parts of the city. The only thing we would change is perhaps we would have liked to have gone to more restaurants and tried smaller samples of food rather than sitting down and ordering full meals each time. It would've been nice to try some of the more modern as well as the traditional stuff, eg bubble tea and other popular desserts. But overall we had a fantastic time. Thank you Becky!!

Lucy was our guide and was on time to pick us up at the hotel. She treated us right away to a delicious noodle meal and then we walked a bit through an older area of Beijing with traditional homes. We then sampled some more Beijing Street food and learned which province of China the cuisine originated. It was exactly as described and we had a lovely time with Lucy. We were full of food and knowledge by the end.

Our tour guide, Linda, met us at the hotel lobby at the appointed time, on January 1st 2019, and we went by walk to several restaurants food kiosks. All we can say is that the tour was wonderful and unique. Linda was very attentive, kind, knowledgable (explaining everything not only regarding the food itself but also regarding Chinese culture and history in general). Her English was perfect. The tour completely changed our view regarding traditional Chinese food. We have had a not so good experience with Chinese food in Beijing in the night before of the tour, but Linda completely changed our view regarding it. We totally recommend the tour, especially the guide, Linda, and advise you to not eat lunch late, because you will taste several dishes (including starters, main dishes, desserts) during the tour.

Lucy was wonderful. It was our first day in Beijing and I did not want go to sleep too early.
She picked us up at our hotel and we started the tour . We could never have known where to go and what to eat .
The places were varied and all good. She took us on the subway/metro which we wanted to do. We paid for the subway but she knew how to buy the tickets.
I would recommend this to everyone. You also learn about the city not just food.

It was our first trip to Beijing and we imagined China to be all about food. We didn't want to wander the streets of Beijing, looking for a decent restaurant or worse, end up at KFC. So we decided to go on a food tour. Best. Decision. Ever!

Linda, our tour guide, was so friendly, charming and funny. She's the best. She didn't just guide us from one eatery to the next food stall. We roamed the streets of the hutong, diving into the local atmosphere, while tasting many and diverse gastronomic highlights. From hot pots to Chinese burgers (so goooood), from candied crab apples to delicious skewers.

Seriously, do not snack before going on this tour, because you will need all the space you can get! Going on this tour on our first day was a wise decision, because you plunge in the middle of Chinese local culture and it will make your stay in China so memorable right from the start.
