If you want a private and personalized 1-day tour of Beijing, this tour delivers. My guide Carrie took me around to some of the major sites of Beijing : Temple of Heaven, Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace and a quick stop to see the Birds Nest and Water Cube Olympic arenas. PLUS a great lunch at a local restaurant that had the best Peking Duck and other great food. Carrie tied in the all the great scenery with tons of historical facts along the way. I didn’t feel rushed, set my own pace and had a great time with lots of good pictures and memories.
Highly recommend this tour!

This was absolutely the best tour I have ever taken. Our tour guide Carrie and our driver Mr. John made sure we had the most remarkable day in Beijing.

They picked us up at our hotel early in the morning and dropped us at the Beijing airport at night. We had booked this excursion because Air China changed our flight connections which resulted in a 23 1/2 hour layover in Beijing. We didn’t want to sit in the airport for that length of time. Carrie’s english language skills are perfect and her commentary enhanced our sightseeing experience.

We saw and did everything on the itinerary. We visited Tiananmen Sq , Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and more. To get maximum sightseeing we delayed our lunch to dinner. Carrie and John took us to an amazing restaurant. The Peking Duck was my highlight of the dinner. After 4 or 5 duck pancakes I was stuffed with all the marvelous food. There was so much delicious food no one could finish it all.

We cannot thank Carrie and John enough for providing us with a view of the highlights of Beijing. We will never forget them and the wonderful time in Beijing.

Our tour director, Angie, provided an extraordinary experience for our 6 person group. We visited the sites as described, but Angie made the trip so memorable with her thoughtful and detailed explanations of what we were seeing and experiencing. We loved the fact that as a professional tour guide, she took us through side entries, walk a-rounds, and side entrances to move from experience to experience. Her favorite phrase was ' just imagine' - just imagine the sites, the sounds, the politics and the culture of these times. We were traveling with three college students who had a particular interest in the details around the customs, practices, religions and politics of the day. Angie made our trip memorable - and if you want to experience Beijing history - you will be sure to delight in tour - Thanks Angie!

They had great reviews on TripAdvisor which is why I decided to book with them, even though they were MUCH more expensive than any other. At the end it was the same canned tour with the same party/state propaganda (no real historical insights)...
Better off choosing one of their competitors and paying half for the the "standard slick"...

Hi Robert, I am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our service in Beijing. And from the review, i could see there are two things that make you unhappy. 1. No difference between other tours: we organize quality no shopping tours, there is no obliged shopping stops in our product which significantly ruin travelers’ experience. This day tour covers almost all of the must-sees in the city, as well as tasting the famous Beijing Roast Duck in a local non-tourist restaurant (drinks included). Moreover, we would stop to take a picture of the iconic stadiums for 2008 Summer Olympics: Water Cube and Birds’ Nest. 2. Too expensive: we know it is quite expensive for solo traveler to book this tour, because our guide and private car with driver would serve him only. It's different from coach tours which pick up tourists from different hotels, sometimes the first traveler would wait for one hour before the tour really starts. And I am sure you will be rushed sometimes during the tour. Also, it's different from shopping tours with 2 or 3 shopping stops for city tour. For each stop, travelers need to stay at least 40 minutes. Moreover, you will have the pressure of buying something to make up the cheap tour price. I do hope you will feel better after seeing our explanation. As for the propaganda, i think it's part of every tourist’s experience, the only difference is some people enjoy it, some may be allergic to it. Best Regards Bruce Li from Wikibeijing

Our guide, Angie, made our day exceptional! She was prompt to meet us, professional, spoke beautiful English and adapted the tour to our needs. Her depth of knowledge about the tour sites was impressive and accurate. She kept a leisure pace, answered our many questions, took our photos, ordered a delicious Peking Duck lunch at a local restaurant and shared her favorite sites with us. When you miss your guide at the end of the day, you know you've also made a friend.

With only a weekend in Beijing we booked this tour to take us to all the highlights. The monuments are large and you could easily spend 4 hours in each; however if you have limited time this tour is a great way to get a taste of each.

Our guide Angie was prompt, spoke great English and was very knowledgeable. We were very glad we booked this tour company. She was able to share little details with us about the monuments that enhanced our experience and understanding. And with such limited time we also appreciated having a driver (in a clean car with great AC) navigate us around the city. Lunch was fantastic in a non touristy spot.

We both agree we will need to return to Beijing in the future to explore more- and we would definitely book with this company again. Thank you Angie!

I was in China on business and decided to take a weekend trip on my own to see Beijing for the first time. The tour was a great way to see the highlights of the inner city including Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace. We also had a delicious Beijing Duck lunch, Serena was a great tour guide as she speaks English well, is very knowledgeable about the sites and the broader history of China (which provides good context), and is very personable. Serena also was good about moving at my pace, whether it was spending a little more time taking in the beauty of the inner courtyard at the Forbidden City, taking time to explain the history in more detail, or moving along when I didn’t want to look in every building. The car was a nice and very clean “black car limo” with a good driver and we were dropped off at convenient locations and picked up on the “other side” so we didn’t have to backtrack. Water was provided in the car as we transferred to each location which was appreciated since it was a warm day and the itinerary was well planned with respect to opportunities for restroom facilities along the way. Thank you, Serena, for a great first impression of Beijing!

My husband and I just completed this private tour of Beijing’s highlights with our guide, Angie. She was absolutely fantastic - knew everything about Chinese history and all of the symbols and other details of the sights. The driver and car were also excellent, and plenty of cold bottled water was provided. We asked for certain changes, like we wanted to see the Bird’s Nest and wanted to have something for lunch other than Peking Duck, because we were having that for dinner. Angie accommodated everything, including taking us to a very local, delicious restaurant. She was also happy to help my husband learn Chinese phrases, which he was very interested in. A tour is ALL about the quality of the guide and Angie was the best (so was her English). I highly recommend this very professional tour company and its guide, Angie.
