Excellent Driver David Karanja who picked us up from Nairobi hotel and headed to Masai Mara for 2 days and then to lake Nakuru for one day. Games rides were excellent managed to see all 5 animals and even more. David was knowledgeable and understanding so glad we had him during our time in the safari. Thank you David we had the best time ever 🙌

We booked this tour on arrival at our hotel so we check out prices locally etc and were really pleased. We booked for pickup, safari, one night stay at Salt Lick Lodge and return. The price was excellent when compared to others. We were picked up on time very early and met our first driver. We were to change driver at our first stop (Kilimanjaro cafe and craft shop about 2hours into the 4 or so hour journey) as all other guests in our group were Italian and it was easier for us and everyone else to go with a fully English speaking group. We were glad we did as the four young Polish ladies we ended up travelling with were great travel companions. Our new driver, Stevie, was friendly and knowledgeable and judged the group really well...not overwhelming us with info and allowing us to take it all in and rest when necessary. Our first safari drive happened soon after we'd collected our keys for Salt Lick Lodge at the sister lodge at Taita Hills. Taita Hills lodge was stunning and we were able to lunch there before going to our second safari and check in at Salt Lick, our home for the night. Food and water is included but drinks at the lodges are not. However, they are extremely reasonably priced and you are not ripped off. Food was plentiful, with lots of choice and delicious at both lodges. The safaris themselves were great. We did two on the first day and then and early start for a third the next day before breakfast and check out. We saw lions, zebra, antelope, buffalo, a range if birds and of course elephants! It was amazing. The everything except for the lions come regularly to drink at the waterhole at Salt Lick so dont worry if you miss them on the drives. Salt Lick is beautiful with comfortable rooms, great views and a very chilled out feel. We slept very well! Our return journey took in another lodge and drive in a different part of the area before lunch. Again a good array of animals but this area was less busy and seemed to be smaller and less well kept. We drove from there and then transferred again at the Kilimanjaro Craft shop (where you can of course pick up souvenirs!) to our original driver for the 2 hour drive to our hotel. The transfer landrover was a bit shabby and some belts did not work. That said the safari landrover driven by Stevie was immaculate, comfortable and safe - another reason we were glad to be looked after by him for the majority of our trip. 2 days, 1 night was enough for us and we got to see everything we'd hoped to. Thank you to Pollman Tours for this experience and in particular Stevie who looked after us so well (mama and papa!) Highly recommended tour.

We had an 8 day private tour of the Mara, Lakes Nakuru and Nyvasha, Amboseli and Taita, then dropped off in Mombasa. The entire experience was superb. Our driver Jamal was probably the kindest, most hardworking and most helpful person we have ever encountered on a holiday. Spending 8+ hours in a car with someone could easily be awkward but we genuinely felt a connection with Jamal and that he became a friend. The roads aren’t easy and he was so professional, even when I can only imagine how tired he must have been. I have nothing but utter respect. He even taught us some Swahili along the way! We also took his advice on some extras such as a night safari in one of the parks, and dolphin watching in Mombasa (also a Pollmans trip). All of these were spot on. Everything about Pollmans is set up to make you feel safe and secure, and is explained in full so you know exactly what to expect (without spoiling the fun, obviously- little surprises are nice!). Overall could not recommend them enough, and a final shout out to Jamal. Asante Sana you lovely man.

We did the Kenya Classic safari (5 days) and booked through trailfinders. Pollman's provided an excellent service from a prompt meet and greet with a complimentary bottle of water at the airport, transferred to the hotel and most importantly, guided us through an amazing safari experience. Special mention to our safari driver Jamal, the ever enthusiastic, knowledgeable and expert driver who always had a smile on his face. We felt safe driving through the towns/villages and he always ensured to get us a great view of the animals! He provided water throughout the safari and gave us regular rest breaks for wash rooms etc. Go team Jamal! After the safari, we moved on to a hotel in Mombasa and again, Pollman's gave us all the info we needed for our stay and we felt we could easily contact them if needed. A 5 star service.

This was such an excellent holiday, we were very well looked after by Pollman's from start to finish. The safari exceeded our expectations. Marvin our guide was very knowledgeable and quite literally went the extra mile to make sure we had the best possible views of the most animals. We saw 4 of the "Big Five" on our first game drive!! This is a holiday that we will never forget!

Life time dream Safari, 8 days travelling between reserves. We had a fantastic driver/guide, Joseph, he was so friendly and helpful, he speaks 9 languages and we were lucky to have his new 4 seater Land Cruiser. The Masai Mara is a must it was like the garden of Eden. We can’t believe how much we saw and the friends we made on the trip.

This was our first Safari and enjoyed the experience enormously. To see the animals in their natural habitat was amazing and we stayed in lovely Lodges. We will never forget it. The experience was made all the better by our wonderful driver Sayed (Spider). He really made the game drives so interesting with his expert knowledge, sense of humor and great driving.. Fantastic! Great driver - David - who was very experienced and was able to "find" the best places to see the animals. We saw most species apart from cheetah. Comfortable vehicle with water provided. Enough stops for comfort breaks and shopping opportunities. David was able "adjust" the routes to suit our preferences. Fabulous experience

Excellent driver/guide, Daniel took us to a local coffee shop before proceeding to the giraffe sanctuary. Fantastic seeing the giraffes up close and feeding them. Informative talk about the giraffes. Enjoyable visit to the Karen Blixen museum, learning about her and her contribution to the local population/area. The tour ended at our hotel via lunch at a local estate with the chance to learn about local bead making

My husband and I had a 10 day Kenyan Safari that we booked through Globus. Our safari took us through national parks, conservancies and reserves in Ol Pejeta, Lake Nukuru and Massai Mara. Our Tour Director, Sayed Nasir, was phenomenal. He was prompt, courteous and professional. Additionally, his subject matter expertise regarding the local culture and customs, as well as his vast knowledge of the birds, animals and vegetation in all of the areas we visited elevated our vacation experience. He was an excellent Tour Director and I highly recommended him.

We booked a safari through Trailfinders in the Uk and their in country agent is Pollmans. We had a private tour so there were just two of us and the driver/guide who took us to all the major reserves over an 8 day period. In summary, they were fantastic. We were picked up from the hotel in Nairobi and taken all the way to Mombasa. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, the birds and the general flora. He was an excellent spotter and found things long before we had spotted them. He was very understandable and amenable to our requests to deviate from the plan which we were able to do as we were traveling alone - this really made it very easy to have a great time. Unlike some of the other tour company drivers, he didnt go “flying around” and scaring off the animals so I think we saw a lot more than the others. He was also helpful in suggesting the appropriate thing to do when visiting areas such as the Masai village and reserve entrances, where to buy things and where not! Pollmans we’re also responsible for the transfer from hotel to the airport in Mombasa. We were a little concerned because we couldn’t work out how to check in on line or understand what happened to our bags at Nairobi. To our delight, when the driver dropped us off at the airport he introduced us to the Pollman airport representative who took us through the entire process. Overall, a really great experience - thank you Pollmans !

My husband and I booked a 2 week safari to Kenya and Tanzania through Friendly Planet and Pollman's was the on site safari company in Kenya. I can only say they were excellent in every way. Every transfer, accommodation, briefing was spot on. But, the very best thing about our trip was our guide Sayed. His friendliness, extreme knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond to make our trip memorable was terrific. If you are looking for a tour company for a safari I recommend you stop looking at contact Pollman's.

In late August a friend and I went on safari in Kenya and Tanzania, booked through Cosmos. Our guide, Phillip, and driver Ali for the Kenyan portion of the trip were provided by Pollman's Tours. Both Phillip and Ali were exceptional - knowledgeable about the area/history and animals. In addition, both took a genuine interest in the well-being of the members of our group and did their very best to ensure we were not only safe, but well informed...and entertained with their knowledge, sense of humor, and charm/likeability. Additionally, Ali was a very skilled driver and both had an eagle eye for spotting animals!

We booked the classic Kenya safari through Trailfinders in the UK that was delivered by Polman’s Tours. We were a family group with 2 adult ‘children’. From start to finish the experience was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations. Our guide was Amos, and we were very lucky to have him as our guide. He is such a nice guy, incredibly knowledgeable and very professional. Despite not having a radio fitted in our vehicle because it was brand new Amos still managed to obtain all of the intelligence on animal locations. We managed to see four of the Big 5 within a couple of hours of our first game drive and a couple of days later spotted rhinos to complete the set. It’s worth adding on the nature walk at Lake Navaisha because you get so close to the animals. If we return to Kenya for another safari we will definitely try ask for Amos again.
