I had a memorable 4-day private safari to Naivasha and Masai Mara with Kichaka Tours. Their organization and attention to detail were commendable, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Douglas was an incredible guide—his expertise and hospitality made the experience truly memorable. Keekorok Lodge, situated within the Masai Mara Reserve, offers the advantage of immediate access to safari game drives, allowing for more time observing wildlife and less time commuting. However, the accommodation could benefit from updates, as some facilities felt dated, and we experienced occasional electrical shortages. The on-site Hippo Bar provides a unique setting, though viewing hippos can be challenging as they often remain submerged, and the area carries a noticeable odor due to their presence. Despite these minor drawbacks, the lodge’s prime location within the park is a significant plus. Overall, Kichaka Tours provided an excellent safari experience, and I would recommend them to others seeking a well-organized adventure in Kenya.

He was so so patient with all our questions, queries, and was able to suggest many options to suit our preferences and requirements. My husband and I had the most amazing safari holiday for our honeymoon organized by Kichaka Tours! I selected Kichaka Tours over some larger tour operators based on their stellar ratings, excellent communication, and detail involving the suggested route/accommodations. Stephen from Kichaka was very responsive and helped us work out an itinerary that made sense for us. He was very helpful with every step of the process leading up to the trip and even helped us secure a camera lens rental in Nairobi. Charles was then our driver and guide for our 7 day private safari and he was wonderful! We could tell he was a true animal lover who was very well-versed in animal behaviour. Whenever we mentioned our desire to see certain animals, he would make it that day's mission to find it for us - whether it was leopards, rhinos, or lion cubs, he worked his magic to find the right areas/conditions for us to spot them. We adored every park we went to, and the accommodations Kichaka booked for us were perfect! Our safari included 2 nights in Amboseli, 1 night on Lake Naivasha and 3 nights at Maasai Mara. I highly recommend the Serena hotels (both in Amboseli and Maasai Mara) that Kichaka partners with, we loved both of them. Staying at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge was also a great choice because its located in the Mara Triangle Conservancy, which is less crowded than the main Maasai Mara Reserve and felt more remote. I could not recommend Kichaka Tours more for your Kenyan safari, it was the best trip and we wish we could relive it!

I had an amazing time on an 8-day private tour, and I highly recommend this tour company. This was our first time visiting Kenya, and We were initially a bit anxious.  However, the team provided excellent suggestions for the best hotels and tours, ensuring we were safe and able to enjoy our trip to the fullest. The staff at Kichaka Tours were incredibly friendly.  In particular, Geophrey who worked closely with me to plan the trip. Also Timan and Jonathan, who guided us on our safari, were extremely knowledgeable and experienced.  Thanks to them, we were able to see all the animals we had hoped to encounter. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the entire trip.  If I were to suggest for an improvement, it would be the guidance regarding souvenir shops.  On our way to the safari, our guide took us to a souvenir shop, but the price was rip off.. Having have to negotiate the price is pain and even after they reduced the price to one third of their initial price, same gifts were sold cheaper at the hotel and at the Village Market. Maybe if the guide was with us while shopping, they gave us fair price. That being said, it was an unforgettable trip, and I will definitely use this company again for future safaris and definately recommend my friends & family.

An experience I will never forget, thanks to Geoffrey and Timan for taking care of our friendship group on our very first safari. From day one the attention to detail was immense, we felt safe at all times but there was never an absence of a good laugh on all of our drives. The hotels were also beautiful, offering stunning views of the savannah that I couldn’t have dreamed of, with excellent amenities and staff readily available to help with whatever necessary. Honestly a once in a lifetime experience.

From the moment we met our guides Charles and Timan, we knew we were in great hands. We had the best experience of our lives. Wilson and Geophrey attended to every single need in the planning stage and were extremely personalised and attentive. Once we arrived in Kenya, we were blown away. Service was impeccable, guides were attentive, flexible and very inclusive. They educated us on all wildlife and Kenyan history. We celebrated NYE together and loved every second of our experiences. Managed to see 4 of the top 5. By far, Royal Mara Lodge in Nth Conservancy was our favourite place to stay. When we come back there is no other tour company we will use. Kichaka is simply the best.

What an excellent experience…Kichaka worked really hard to make sure our trip was seamless…our guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable; the Serena Lodge was beautiful and very comfortable; our guide worked hard to make sure we could see all the animals, and I would absolutely use Kichaka tours again

We had our 23 days safari through Kenya and Tanzania - ending with a week on beautiful Mafia island - fully organized by Kickaka. Prior to our trip we shared our wishes and Wilson came up with a custom made program which we optimized together. Communication was very easy and Kickaka staff was very responsive. From day 1 in Nairobi everything was organized flawless. We had great drivers - Morris and Charles in Kenya and Ally in Tanzania who were all very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and taking good care of us. On the background they were in contact with Kickaka, so we didn't have any worries. We enjoyed the cities, villages, culture, people and of course the wildlife to the maximum - seeing all animals in great quantities (hint: safari in Kenya is more spectacular than Tanzania 😀). I involved Wilson and Charles in a complot to propose my girlfriend after a hot air balloon safari, which was managed very well by the two guys 😉. Our final week we enjoyed on Mafia island, which is truly an undiscovered paradise. Safari is quite expensive - though there are many options to make it cheaper or more luxurious. We only can rate Kickaka with five stars - as it was just perfectly organized.

This is a really awesome and well organized safari experience. Maurice was very punctual and knowledgeable on all of the animals we saw. He was a great driver and we saw tons of animals. I recommend going early right when the park opens so you see more wildlife.
