This was the trip of a lifetime! Zebra Plains camp was stunning and we were very comfortable staying there. Food was provided in the form of picnics during our safari drives and set meals at the camp, we were very happy with this. David, our tour guide, was fantastic. He was easy-going and looked after us so well throughout the tour. He was so determined to help us find the Big 5 it was lovely to know he tried so hard for us, and it was a huge success!! We saw the big 5 and it was thrilling! David was so accommodating, changing times and plans to suit our needs and we always felt safe when with him. He had great knowledge of the animals and shared this with us. It was clear that David’s knowledge was gained from experience and he was not just rattling off facts that he had learned for the tour. The jeep was very comfortable and we were content driving around during the safari. Be sure to bring plenty of bug spray as it was really needed!
We visited the Masai Mara and brought lots of materials for the children (the school was closed for holidays at this time so we shared the materials with the children at the village). It was great fun dancing with the locals. We were so glad that we brought so school books, pencils, etc. as the children had lined up in the hope of receiving these gifts. The hotel that we moved to for the last night was acceptable but we missed our lovely Zebra Plains camp. The boat trip on Lake Naivasha was amazing! We were brought to a small peninsula where we walked with free-roaming zebras, wildebeests and giraffes! It was incredible to walk so closely to them having seen them from the jeep on our safari. We added the Giraffe centre to our trip on the last day and it was so lovely. David organised PCR tests for us and made sure that we had everything ready for the next part of our trip to Zanzibar.
Overall, it was such a memorable experience. We have so many funny stories, amazing photos from the safari and I would highly recommend this tour as we were so well looked after, happy and comfortable throughout.

David is the guy you need for your safari adventure in Kenya for sure. Originally he was suposed to be "just" our guide for the Maasai Mara safari but ended up being much more than that. He went above and beyond to make our whole visit to Kenya go smooth and without any hustle. The time we spent in Maasai Mara was simply magical. David made sure that we saw the whole big five as well as the big nine (including the famous Fast Five) and so much more. We spent 4 nights in Mara Serena which also added to the experience (beautiful place with super friendly staff and great view from every room). If you want to watch the most exciting animals from up close while listening to a fascinating commentary about how they live and much much more, ask for David. 6 stars out of 5. Thanks a lot pal! See you next time

David Mwangi was our guide for my family's trip to the Mara. I must contend that the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Southern Kenya is an exceptional place, and I can say without a shadow of doubt that David is one of the best tour guides I have had the occasion to work with in 20-plus years of travel across several countries. David was able to provide us with a very enriching experience of the Mara by scheduling and executing three safari-drives in which we saw many different species of wildlife. I most admired his professionalism and patience that allowed us ample time to take-in each species and do the touristic things such as take pictures and ask as many questions about the species of interest to us. His knowledge of the various birds and animals, and his ability to spot (and identify locations for best spotting) hard to get animals is exceptional. I must add that his open willingness to accommodate our spontaneous / sporadic request for changes to the pre-planed tour and game-viewing schedules was an added plus.
