Discover one of the Seven Wonders of the World - THE GREAT MIGRATION
As the last remaining multi-species migration on the planet this is truly a spectacle to behold from mid-June to late November more than 1.5 million migrating wildebeests, zebras and antelopes scatter the vast plains of the Masai Mara, transforming the savannah into a place of dramatic action and a constant struggle for survival. The Migration Season is a time of prosperity for the predators of the Mara, who thrive on the vast amounts of available prey.

- christineaP7971LW00Looked after us exceptionally wellWe met Charles as a guide through another tour company (Savannah Brown) We were very impressed with him in every regard. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience not only of wildlife and nature but about everything Kenyan. We enjoyed our conversations with him very much. He looked after us exceptionally well. We wish him all the best with his own company and are sure it will be very successful. Thank you Charles. Christine and Tom
- borjac60700Nairobi, Naivasa and Masái Mara experienceWe had a full 4 days trip through Nairobi, Naivasa and Masái Mara with Charles and it went beyond our expectations. Charles played an essential role on our experience since he is a very nice, polite, sociable and outgoing guide with more than 10 years of experience in the field. He drove and guided us through the main points of Nairobi, Naivasa and Masái Mara explaining in detail all the important aspects of each destination. He is a very committed person and it's noticable the willingness and effort he puts on making your experience unforgettable. Thanks to this we saw black Rino's, chetas, leopards and even had a pick-nick on the middle of the Sabana! If we come back to Kenya, Charles will definitely be our choice to go! Thanks a lot Charles for your commitment and your kindness. The Costa family
- wanjerim202300I recommended my friends to travel with Esa and they said they loved the entire experience and will definitely be backThey kept time and gave a valuable experience I felt the value of my money the trip was one for a lifetime.
- Darius M00Amazing Experience! Would Highly Recommend! This was my first ever safari tour, and I was incredibly impressed by the quality and expertise of ESA Safaris and Erick, our tour guide! Erick was incredibly timely, picking us up at 5:30 AM to be able to see as many animals as possible. His safari truck was incredibly clean and had a cooler on the inside in order to keep our drinks cold. Erick was also incredibly knowledgeable about all of the flora and fauna of the park, giving us interesting information and answering all of the questions that we had. Overall, this was an amazing safari tour, and I would highly recommend Erick and ESA Safaris to anyone looking to do a safari tour in Kenya!

- Patricia P00Experience of a Life TimeThe experience of a lifetime is the only way to describe my trip. I felt safe from the moment I arrived on my first trip to «The Real Africa». Thanks to our Expert guides/drivers we saw almost every animal on our wish list at very close quarters. It was clear that Eric &co have extensive knowledge of ecology, geography and local culture! I can’t think of anything negative - wonderful lodges, food and incredible service! I would love to return and would definately book with Eric and ESA Safaris.
- maxwello71300Friday Afternoon Safari at Nairobi National ParkUpon booking a half-day tour to the Nairobi National Park, I had low expectations for what we could see in such a short amount of time. However, our tour guide, Eric, went above and beyond to ensure that we had an unforgettable experience. Despite the semi-cool weather, we were able to witness an impressive number of animals. The highlight of the day was observing a lion take down a buffalo, with the entire pride sharing the meal a few hours later. Eric's extensive knowledge of wildlife, both large and small, enhanced our understanding and appreciation of the ecosystem and food chain in the wild. I look forward to future adventures in different locations, hopefully with Eric as our guide once again.
- BonnerBriggs00Kenyan Safari That Exceeded All My ExpectationsHow do I possibly put into words the phenomenal Kenya trip I have just had with Eric Otieno and Amy Leader through ESA Safaris. What an amazing introduction to Kenya and Africa. WILDLIFE Everyone expects to see lots of animals on a safari trip and this one delivers. Eric knows where to go on game drives to maximize watching and photographing both mammals and birds. So many animals and, since it was spring, lots of babies! Eric also threw in a few crocodiles and termite colonies as an unexpected bonus! LOL! His brain is an encyclopedia of names and factoids regarding what you are seeing in terms of animals and life in Kenya. In addition to the safari drives, there were several opportunities to visit organizations providing sanctuary to at-risk animals including injured chimps, orphaned elephants and rhinos/giraffes near extinction. These visits often provided a chance to get up close and personal—feeding and petting elephants, giraffes and rhinos! CULTURE: For me, experiencing everyday life in Kenya was just as important as seeing the wildlife. Drives between the safaris provided an opportunity to learn about life in the city of Nairobi as well as small communities including two tribal villages. In the latter, Masai and Nilotic tribe members welcomed us with singing and dancing then showed us their homes and schools. There were also stops at roadside stands for fruits and vegetables that we enjoyed along the way. SHOPPING: There were a number of opportunities to purchase handcrafts as gifts and reminders of the trip. I loved that two of these opportunities were through work cooperatives selling beautiful wood, wool and bead items to help support their members. Visits to the villages are another opportunity to support the economy by purchasing items displayed by tribal members. Not comfortable haggling, Eric help you. LODGING: We stayed one city hotel and five different tented camps during the trip. Don’t be concerned by the term camp or tents as this was actually five-star “glamping” with every location topping the one before it! I think each one had a pool and bar. At one location, I took advantage of a reasonably-priced massage therapist. And yes, there was almost always both hot water and electricity FOOD: Since my return, one of the first questions people seem to ask is about the food. It was some of the best I have ever experienced on an international trip. Three excellent meals a day A majority offered three courses or a buffet accommodating varied preferences! Amy and Eric’s choices and advice on what and where to eat helped us avoid digestive issues! At the end of the trip we had a chance to visit a supermarket and take some tastes of Kenya home with us. VALUE: The cost of this trip may seem higher than those offered by others, but keep in mind this trip is nearly all-inclusive—lodging, most of the food, entrance fees and tips are part of the package! BOTTOM LINE: If you have every dreamed about visiting Africa, this 11-day adventure with ESA should be at the top of your list. Eric and Amy have everything taken care of for you. Just sit back and enjoy the adventure!
- RomeTrip07700Amazing 13-day Kenyan Safari AdventureI recently returned from an an amazing Kenyan Adventure. It was a well planned and organized trip that exceeded my expectations. We spent time at 5 lodges/camps in different locations, getting the opportunity to observe different terrains/vegetation, development and everyday life in Kenya as we traveled. Game drives never failed to provide sightings of wildlife - so many mammals and birds, many up close. At each location there were new animals and birds to see. There were several interesting cultural visits, including visits to two tribal villages, a Northern White Rhino Sanctuary and Giraffe Center. The highlight for me was our visit to the Ithumba Hill Camp and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Ithumba Reintegration Unit. Having the opportunity to stand close and observe how rescued elephants are being reintegrated (successfully) into the wild was special. Accommodations at each tented lodge/camp were different and all excellent. We ate very well at all locations, including great lunches at lovely places along the way.. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of options. Our guide, Eric Otieno, was terrific. He was professional, very knowledgeable, personable and had a sense of humor. I highly recommend ESA Safaris and Eric.
- 272finnp00Camping Adventure Safari in the AberdaresWe had an amazing camping safari with Charles. Sleeping outside in the aberdares and nakuru is amazing as you are as close to nature as it gets. The Equipment was perfect and Charles is a very good cook and even better driver and spotter of the astonishing wildlife. We did a 4 days trip and had such an adventure that we would recommend everyone who is searching for something aside the normal paths. Go camping in these national parks is very safe and in case of anything happens, the park rangers are always around. So you can enjoy your beer at a bonfire while listening to your surroundings or just hearing Charles storys and laughing together. Thanks a to Eric, everything was very well organized and tailormade to our wishes. Highly recommended!!! Thanks guys!
- Travel55270700AMAZING SAFARI TO KENYA AND TANZANIAThis was my 5th safari trip using this company which says it all . Whether you have a phone camera or a more professional one , the opportunities to photograph wild animals in their natural habitat are vast . Elephants , leopards , zebras , cheetahs , hyenas , vultures , wildebeests , warthogs , hippos , giraffes , flamingoes etc. Yes we saw all of these and more . We also did some cultural stops which gave us an opportunity to see how the tribes in Kenya and Tanzania live daily and how they make a living . I especially loved the tour of the coffee plantation . Just driving from lodge to lodge , we saw people selling local delicious fresh fruit and vegetables at their humble stands . Many walk just to get water . I was fortunate to see the Great Migration with hundreds of wildebeests and zebras. It is fascinating . Our guides very well educated about the region and characteristics of the animals and their behavior . The lodges have wonderful buffets at breakfast , lunch, and dinner . Such a variety. MY FAVORITE : Ithumba Reintegration Camp for elephants . The Sheldrick Trust takes in elephants that are found wondering without their mothers . They care for them in every way and have caregivers that even sleep with them . The purpose is to eventually reintegrate them into wild elephant herds in their natural habitat . Ithumba is the next camp they move to . My cousin and I were able to attend their feedings , milk time , the water holes , and mud bathing . We were even allowed to touch a few . We were only a few yards away from them . They have successfully returned 84 elephants back into the wild herds . The trip was AMAZING .
- alicecU4361MV00Perfect getaway for fun, excitement, and educationThe accommodations exceeded expectations and staff were so friendly and welcoming. After long days of game drives (which were exhilarating) returning to superb meals, friendly staff, and a welcoming bar were just the right ticket. Eric Otieno knows the area well and seems to have the right connections. Won't go wrong on this adventure. Enjoy!

Wow, what can I say! Masai Mara was an experience of a lifetime. Eric, our guide from ESA Safaris, was so obliging, knowledgeable and experienced in what he does! He collected us from our accomodation in Nairobi and drove us to Maasai Mara. We saw such amazing animals and birdlife. We felt comfortable, safe and relaxed at all times, even when picnicking in the Conservancy! We felt the vehicle was more than capable of the task! A truly brilliant experience, thanks to ESA Safaris. They also arranged all our accomodation in Kenya! Spending time in Nukuru and Naivasha also. Truly an amazing experience, thank you ESA Safaris, especially Eric our guide. Brilliant!
