About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 900krisb0 contributions3 day SafariThe safari was great. We saw a lot for the short amount of time. The only reason I rated it 4/5 is because it’s really more of a 1 day safari. I wish I had booked 4 days the travel time is 6 hours there and 6 hours back which it does say on the itinerary. I think I just didn’t look close enough. My accommodations were great and some of the best sleep I had while away.Written February 11, 2025

- 75andr_o0 contributionsMount Longonot, Lake Naivasha and Hell's gateOur driver Benard was very professional and communicative. The communication with Beth from Perfect wilderness tours was really good and fast. The hike in Mount Longonot was wonderful as the safari in Hell's gate. The Hotel where we spent the night could be better for the price. But overall a good experience.Written January 27, 2025
- molad8780 contributionsGreat value and a good timeGreat time, great value. Would recommend. We got to see some amazing animals and meet the masi people in their village. I joined in their marriage dance but I had no luck getting a wife.Written January 24, 2025
- jolienm6270 contributionsNice adventureNice trip! We enjoyed the hike and saw many animals by the lake. Also Hell's gate was a very nice experience! Charles is a very nice guide and a great driver!Written January 15, 2025
- S3266XYericc0 contributionsLayover tour of hells gate and lake naivoshaCharles was a great tour guide. He was on time to pick me up and was very accommodating and pleasant. I recommend this tour to anyone. Thanks for an awesome time!Written January 10, 2025
- Anne Katrine S0 contributionsCould be betterThe Masai Mara has a good density of animals, and you'll see a lot. The landscape and the tour itself is great. We were promised bottled water and didn't get any until day 2. And the lodge wanted 2 dollars pr bottle (small). The tourguide couldn't/wouldn't help because we all came from different agencies. The tour operator didn't reply until it was already fixed. And even when we had water, we were restricted to how many bottles we could have. Like, come on. Water is the bare minimum of what is expected, and it is so easy/cheap to provide. The tour guide was an incredible driver, but it seemed like he wasn't very much of a people person, and he didn't tell us a lot about the animals or update us on what was going on. I felt like I was bothering him when I asked questions. Overall I had a good experience but it could've been so much better.Written January 10, 2025
- Giovanni M0 contributionsGreat experience with Samuel! We had a great 3 days 2 nights tour in Masai Mara with them! Our driver Samuel drove us safely and demonstrated to have a lot of effort for his job! Thanks to Samuel we were able to see the big 5, and also Lions hunting Pumba :) it was one of the best experiences I ever had in my life! Samuele was constantly in contact with other drivers in order to move fast in the park when someone spotted some wild activity :) Accommodation is nice, with hot water and cozy rooms. Restaurant was simply amazing, dinner and breakfast were awesome! Atmosphere in the camp is calm, with Masai people very (Real Masai) friendly. Camp is just 5minutes away from the park entrance, it makes everything very suggestive.Written January 9, 2025
- mariellenl19740 contributionsunforgettable trip to Tsavo eastOur trip to Kenya was fantastic. We were picked up at our hotel on time by our Guide Pascal. Damaris did the entire guidance and handling upfront quickly and carefully. The 4x4 car was very comfortable and we drove it around Tsavo East for 3 wonderful days. Pascal is an enthusiastic and experienced guide who was there for us all the time. He knows a lot about the animals and the environment. We were also allowed to use his binoculars and had all kinds of books on board to inform us. We were all pleasantly surprised that we also saw the leopard. The accommodation Voi was also completely fine. Great food and the view phenomenal. I can recommend everyone to book your safari here. Safe, punctual, clean, everything was fine. We traveled with our three children of 12-14-16 years old and they also had the time of their lives. Very worthwhile.Written January 8, 2025
- Tour8289920 contributionsExceeded our expectations! Our safari experience with Chris - SafariDoctor exceeded our expectations! Chris found the big 9 and so many more! He is very knowledgeable about the animals and so the safari was an educational experience too. Chris is a great driver on the dirt roads as well as on the highways between the parks and went out of his way to take care of our needs. We started our safari early January which is after the rainy season so the grass was green which made for beautiful photos and memories!Written January 5, 2025
- ylq5000 contributionsGood trip, bad driverInteresting trip . But with a Good driver it will be better Our time is not the drivers time. Our travel ask a minimum of consideration.Written January 4, 2025
- yuel20250 contributionsUnforgettable safari adventure with ChrisWe had an unforgettable safari adventure with Chris, the “Safari Doctor,” whose keen eye and insights made every moment memorable. He spotted a camouflaged male lion and guided us through an incredible scene where a pride used strategy and teamwork to hunt a buffalo. Chris explained how lions communicate through subtle signals, showcasing their remarkable coordination. His expertise and dedication made our trip both safe and extraordinary, and we’re truly grateful for his outstanding guidance.Written January 4, 2025
- LaurenS3050 contributionsThe best and most helpful staffWe had a lovely stay at Keekorok The staff led by Judy made the stay quite exceptional. The rooms are clean and I loved the net above the bed. We had no problem with bite. The hippo pool is amazing to watch and only a short walk I love to eat the food of the country I visit and I really enjoyed the Kenyan food offerings but there were other options too. The breakfasts were great especially the omelette station which was my favourite. The serving staff could not do enough to help I would thank them for making my stay memorableWritten January 4, 2025
- R5376PPjayv0 contributionsMassai Mara SafariMassai mara tour was awesome, and our tour guide Sammy was the best! We saw every animal except cheetah and Rhino. The massai also took good care of us back at the camp with good meals and drinks. Unforgettable experience for my girl and I.Written January 3, 2025

We had a fantastic trip to Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick Elephant orphanage and the Giraffe Centre with Paul, our brilliant and very kind guide. Perfect Wilderness created a bespoke trip that catered to our needs and timings. Paul then dropped us at our final destination in Naivasha.
Our driver and guide, Paul, picked us up promptly from our hotel at 6am and looked after us and all our belongings throughout the trip. It was an early start and we took a short drive to Nairobi National Park from our hotel. He took care of all the entrance fees and negotiations, gave a thorough explanation of the park and helped us spot some incredible animals - lions, giraffes, rhinos to name but a few. Paul was very accommodating and flexible to our needs and very knowledgeable on all questions asked. He was also thoughtful and considerate to our young children. He provided water for the journey, ensured all our needs were met and was flexible to any slight changes to our plan (e.g. a request of a particular restaurant for lunch). He also gave knowledgeable advice on how we should most efficiently plan our day to maximise benefit.
We then took a short drive to Sheldrick elephant orphanage which was incredible. Would recommend to arrive early/stay within the park to avoid the long queues. We had left the park grounds to escape for a coffee shop stop and so there was a little queue to re-enter. However, once inside, the experience was unforgettable. Learning about the incredible work they do and the individual heartbreaking stories of the orphaned elephants and rhinos there was well worth it.
The giraffe centre was a short add onto the trip and Paul got us there efficiently to avoid the crowds. He then drove us to our final destination in Naivasha.
It was a super trip and very efficient way to see so much of Nairobi in a morning. Perfect Wilderness were very easy to contact by email initially and gave a competitive price for the package. They continued to be very responsive to any questions or queries in the run up to our trip. Would highly recommended Perfect Wilderness and in particular, Paul.
