          Great safari experience
Festus Kazungu was a friendly and a very knowledgeable guide! We saw rhyno, hippo, crocodile , zebras, ostriches , giraffes and even lions - all of which he helped us spot whilst very kindly answering our questions around their nature or dynamic. We had the best time, thank you Kazungu!

A Tick off my Bucket List
James met me at my hotel and we made our way to Amboseli National Park. When we turned off the main road, he brought me to a place that sold souvenirs as well as to have a coffee. Once we arrived at the park gate, he raised the roof and we were off to explore the park. He made sure to take me to where the elephant cross the road early in the day so that we were able to see them before the day got to hot as the elephant s they to stay in the shade later in the day. We then explored further into the park to find the other creatures resident in the park. We saw ostrich, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, gazelle and baboons. We then went for lunch in the park which was an awesome buffet which, on a good day, has a view of Kilimanjaro. Although we were unable to see the mountain from the park, James pointed it out to me on the way to the Park. I absolutely recommend booking this trip…my words can’t do it justice. When I come back, and I will be back, I will book with them again.

          Amazing Time!
I just got back from this adventure yesterday with my family and we had a wonderful time! Our tour guide Black Santa was very knowledgeable and shared information about all of the sites that we were passing on our way to Nakuru National Park. Once in the park he made sure we got to see all of the different types of wildlife available. The photos are absolutely incredible. We ended the tour with a peaceful ride on Lake Naivasha where we saw even more wildlife. I 10/10 recommend adding this to your Kenya itinerary.

          Unforgettable experience
Much more than we expected. Hundreds of elephants and zebras. Warthogs, giraffes, buffalos, gazelles. Thanks to our guide, James, we were lucky to witness a group of lionesses trying to hunt a zebra. Excellent guide, professional, attentive and knowledgeable.

          Great communication and awesome guide
Our family ( 2 adults and 2 young kids) had a 8 day private Jeep safari to Kenya national parks. The driver and guide, Sammy , was a great tour guide. He respected all of our requests during the trip, did his best to show us all the “big 5”, and 4 times of river crossing in Maasai Mara. The agent who helped us book the safari, Lewenei, helped us customized the trip with only 4 emails. He communicated very efficiently and clearly. Overall, we had an awesome experience with Perfect Safaris. Hightly recommended.

Great hike with a great team
I did a trip to Mt Longonot today with Stephen. Stephen picked me up on time from my hotel and drove very safely and on time to Mt Longonot. We arrived to Mt Longonot and met a local guide (Joshua) who accompanied me for the hike. The hike took around 4 hours, including the round trip along the rim. The hike itself is split into a few sections: 1) the hike up to the rim, this is around 3km and is all uphill as you'd expect. It took us around 1 hour. 2) the hike to the summit, again this took around 1 hour. 3) the hike from the summit to the start of the full descent, again around 1 hour. 4) hike down to the gate, once more around an hour. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew the answers to all my questions. I then met up again with Stephen and we drove back to Nairobi. On the way back we encountered very bad traffic but Stephen expertly and safely navigated this and remained positive the whole journey, and we arrived back in Nairobi around 3:30pm. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent guide for a solo tour
Celestine is the perfect guide! Friendly and knowledgeable, willing to answer all of your questions, patient, and an excellent photographer for those traveling solo. It was clear Celestine is well known and trusted, even knowing who to bring around to give me extra information and a more personal experience. We also stopped at a local spot to grab lunch on the way back to the hotel. I learned a ton, had a great day, and made fantastic memories!

Don't go to the Maasai Village
MAASAI VILLAGE REVIEW: The visit to the Maasai village wasn't nice at all. We all felt very uncomfortable. I won't recommend it to anyone. The feeling was that they just want to rip you off. Moreover, the man who took us to the village was a pack of lies.

          Excellent weekend safari experience 👌
This 3 day safari provided everything I wanted in more in a quick, budget friendly trip to Masai Mara. We saw so many animals up close, enjoyed our accommodations and the staff at Rhino Tourist Camp, and had a very exciting and relaxing trip. Our guide Albert was knowledgeable, an excellent driver, and very accommodating. He truly went above and beyond for our group. Five stars for Albert alone!

          Shocking - AVOID!
If you are looking to book a safari using this company, please take my advice and avoid them! Some key points of our mid-luxury safari with "perfect" safaris: - They sub-contracted our Masaai Mara safari to another organisation (without telling us), who then didn't follow the itinerary we paid for, partly because they had no idea what our schedule was! They didn't even know what lodges/hotels we were staying at. - We had a tour 'guide' who didn't speak to guests or provide any information. They spent most of the game drives on their mobile phone instead. - Broken vehicles (tyres, windows, seatbelts, chairs!) throughout - The guide turned up significantly late for every game drive, which meant we then didn't have any of the full drives we'd paid for. We were often left waiting at the hotel reception, unsure whether the driver was actually going to turn up, or not. We failed to see the migration of animals across the Masaai river because the tour guide turned up late, then took us to the river 2 hours after the migration occurs. We spent a lot of time driving round in circles because the driver didn't seem to know his way around the Masaai Mara! - Multiple days of the safari were completely wasted, all so that the company could save money; we were passed from one vehicle to another, squeezed into vans that were already full and even left in the middle of nowhere for an hour to wait for someone to pick us up. One of the drivers even commented that it was unsafe but said "I just do what I am told". - Awful customer support throughout; they did not respond to emails, whatsapp messages or phone calls throughout our trip when issues arose. There was a complete reluctance from Perfect Safaris to resolve issues or accept fault. Despite the guides making numerous promises to me that management would contact me, I am still waiting! My emails to Perfect Safari post-trip to discuss these issues are also being ignored. If anyone is looking to book a safari using this organisation, and has further questions about our experience, please feel free to contact me - I'd be happy to share further details!

This Trip was worth every penny. We had a great experience and adventure with Peter, a really good Guide. From Lion to Leopard we saw everything. The camp was simple but very good. If you want to have a great experience book this tour

Beware - may not be what you expect.
I do not know how many Maasai villages there are in Amboseli but apparently there are more than one. I suppose it is possible that I was taken to a different one as I am sure they all look the same and I believe their "hook" is the same. I guess your opinion of this place depends upon your expectations. If you go there thinking it is a Disney world type of experience, you will be fine and they do tell you quite a bit about the history and customs of the Maasai people. If you think it is authentic, you will be very annoyed. I believe these "villages" have been constructed for the benefit of tourists. Our tour guide told us he was friends with the chief's son at this village and we would "stop by" on our way out to a game drive. I took $25 US with me with the thought I would offer a gratuity for them welcoming us into their village. When we got there, they were waiting with a pre-prepared dance and "show" in which the grabbed us by the arm and insisted that we dance with them. (Not the casual, stop by my friend's home that we were expecting). After an over ambitious welcome where they placed beaded necklaces around our necks, they then told us that they charged $30 per person to enter their gates and please come in and if we didn't have the cash, no worries, we could give it to the guide when we got back to hotel. At this point, our guide had gone back to car which was parked a good distance away. Not knowing how to get out of this, we said ok. They then did a Disney world type of show telling us how they made fire with sticks everyday ( unfortunately, they could not seem to get a fire started and had to go to get someone to help) and then tried to tell us that they lived in these pitch dark mud huts where you had to have a cell phone to light the way ( that clearly had never been lived in, there was no evidence of current habitation) and then they ushered us into this area with souvenirs that the "people of the village had made". These were the same souvenirs that were sold in all of the hotel gift shops and one even had a price tag on the back that said $US 21. I asked the chief again if they had made them and he confirmed that the section I was looking at was his work and that he had made everything. Once I told them I did not want anything, the separated me from my friend ( who was showing interest) and took me to show me the solar water well that an American had donated and implied how they appreciated donations ..and one of the boys was saying how much he would like an American penpal so that he could have an American friend and would I give him my "whats app" number. Once I did not show any interest in that, they asked for the beaded necklace that they had placed around my neck when I first arrive - they asked for it back. The chief had a hostile look on his face. Afterwards, we told the guide that we felt ambushed and misled and he said that yes, the price on this tribes "website" ( they were telling us that they lived in mud huts and made fire with sticks, yet they have a website) was $20 and he was surprised that they had asked $30 and he would get the $10 pp back...which he did. The whole experience left a very bad taste in our mouths.

This was a family trip (14) to Kenya over Christmas right from Grandpa and Grandma to the youngest who was 13, each of us took something different away from the experience. It was a private tour and the guides, Sammy and Choro were so amazing, professional and accommodating!! The information that they shared on the animals and the parks were great! We have a very inquisitive group so they discussed economics, housing, education, medical care...Sammy even took me to the hospital for a quick allergy shot and acted as my liaison between me and the medical processes in a different country. I do have to add that the hospital care was outstanding! On our long ride back to Nairobi to catch our flight our vehicle discussed (debated) Canada's and Alberta's "Big 5" and shared with Sammy pictures of our wildlife. I also have to recognize Betty from the Perfect Safari's office "a mastermind behind the scenes", Betty was awesome and definitely an ambassador for customer service. Hats off to Perfect Safari's, George, Sammy, Choro and Betty.

We loved our safari and had an amazing time on this trip. Each location offered fantastic experiences. James was our driver and we appreciated his expertise and company. We've traveled around the world and it was one of the best trips we have ever taken. Sightings of animals and traveling thru national parks has been an unforgettable experience. We will choose Perfect Safaris again when we travel back to Kenya in the future.

We just came back from a 9 days safari with perfect safari and cannt say enough good things about it! Very impressive about their prompt reply and clear communication from the start. For reference, I contacted 50 plus tour companies on TripAdvisor and perfect safari was the one I chose finally. Elizabeth is one of the most wonderful person I’ve ever met. She is extremely patient, very understanding and able to make any change to the plan, including a last minute schedule change due to cancellation of our flight.

Our tour guide George is the best guide we can imagine for a safari trip. He is very enthusiastic about his job, knowledgeable of the animals and the landscape, and most importantly, his ability to search animals is amazing. He makes sure that we get to see all big fives, and even the river crossing, an unforgettable experience hard to describe with words. Our Jeep is clean, spacious and well equipped. I would recommend this company to others without any hesitation.

The tour was the perfect way to discover the highlights of Kenya. I had many guides throughout the tour and they were all amazing, very welcoming and always willing to help (Jack, Joshua, Albert, Jessie, and Sammy, Asante Sana). The variety of parks allows spotting a diversity of animals, and I was lucky enough to see the Big 5 as well as many other animals. Lodges are good, they all have beds and hot water.

Visited Kenya as a solo female from the US at the end of November 2021 on a 7 day 6 night safari. I used Perfect Safaris Africa as my safari operator, and that was a great decision. Even before departure, the communication with the owner, Elizabeth was very professional, and she was always responsive. I was a little leary about going solo to Kenya, but my entire trip was safe. They were willing to customize my trip the way I wanted it. Elizabeth went out of her way throughout my entire trip to make sure I was comfortable and happy. The company was extremely accommodating to my needs.
My guide/ driver was Sammy. He was excellent. He had a wealth of knowledge of the different parks and animals. He was patient, and kind.
Overall, I had a great experience with Perfect Safaris Africa, and I highly recommend them.
