Unforgettable Safari Experience – Highly Recommend!
We had an amazing trip with "Kenya Tanzania Safari" Agency! The team was so nice and friendly, always punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The accommodations they suggested were perfect and added to the overall comfort of the trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic safari adventure for Kenya or Tanzania!

      Customized assistance throughout safari
Our family (5 adults and 2 teens) took a private trip including safaris in Kenya (Masa Marai, Ambroseli) and Tanzania (Serengeti, Ngorogoro Crater). Assistance: we had some major travel issues (delayed flights, lost bags) and the team was very helpful at adjusting, redirecting and make sure to get us back on track. They also helped make arrangements for us upon our return to Nairobi by arranging a day tour since our flight didn’t leave until late night. And finally, my brother left a shirt in Tanzania and they quickly made arrangements to drop off to us before we left Nairobi. It was great having a team supporting us throughout the journey. Guides: The guide were fantastic. Both had worked many years as guides and had a deep knowledge of the wildlife. They were able to answer every question we had and were extremely friendly (especially Raymond!). They were extremely helpful at the boarder crossing and always made arrangements for someone to help with bags. Sleeping: we slept in two tent style places and two hotels. All were very nice with great staff and amazing food. Some of the best soup we have ever had!! All of the beds had nets and were very comfortable. Drives: the drives from place to place were very long and often provided the “African massage” (very bumpy roads) but this allowed us to also see the culture of the two counties along the roadside which you wouldn’t get if you flew from place to place. We always had an ice chest full of water and stops along the way to use the restroom. Food: the food was delicious! And my husband has a very sensitive stomach but was fine the entire time. After our safari, we went to a major resort (on our own) and that was not the case at the resort. Overall, we were very impressed with the arrangements and the overall experience.

      Great tour, great memories
15 Days Best of Kenya & Tanzania Safari This was a wonderful trip with sighting of so many animals that we were continually amazed at the variety. This safari allowed us to get very close to the animals which was very special. I will treasure the viewing of so many lions that we saw on nearly every day of the safari. The three main guides we had all incredibly knowable on all the wildlife and fauna. This enabled us to enjoy the spectacle of this tour even more. Having the guides assist us with the border crossing was a big help. The accommodation was of a great standard. Even the tents we stayed in were very comfortable with all amenities. The camp staff who provided escorts back to our tent added a level of added safety. The only exception was the hotel in Nairobi which had a mattress that resembled a hammock Food at all the camps and hotels was both plentiful and varied. The offerings were mainly buffets with only the camp in Masai Mara offering a choice at mealtimes. The only disappointment in the whole trip was missing the great migration due to abnormal weather conditions. Communication with Kenya Tanzania Safaris was at times a little patchy and could be improved.

      Amazing experience!
This was one of the most incredible trips we have done! We had some issues with our flight to Kenya and ended up having to fly to Tanzania directly. Niko rearranged everything for us within last minute and ensured we did not miss any of the highlights of our trip. Our guide Agustino was also very nice and professional. He always made sure we were comfortable and taught us a lot about the animals and the national parks. Overall it was an amazing experience and we definitely want to go back since we loved it so much! For sure we will recommend Destination Consultants to all our friends and family since they ensured our trip was memorable.

      The Trip of a Lifetime!
My friend and I did a 15 day private safari in Kenya and Tanzania that was meticulously planned by Nico and Susan. When I travel, I like to deal with companies in the the country I will be travelling in whenever it is possible. I originally reached out to three Kenyan companies and provided each of them with the same information and Nico's response was prompt and very thorough, providing all of the information, details and price. With the other companies I felt I had to keep asking questions to get the details I was looking for about price and what exactly would be included. Throughout the planning process, Nico provided quick replies to all my questions and details about travel requirements, etc. and I felt very comfortable that we were in good hands and had made the right choice. Our safari was outstanding from start to finish. We arrived in Nairobi very late at night but the next morning Nico met us at our hotel - this was a very nice and unexpected touch. He went over the itinerary, answer any questions we had, and introduced us to our fantastic guide, Gerald, who we spent our time in Kenya with. The next 9 days were a dream come true; fantastic animal sightings, great and varied accommodation and food, interesting travel through diverse landscapes and towns/villages - everything was well planned by Nico and Susan and Gerald, our guide, was so terrific and we learned so much from his vast experience and knowledge of the animals and landscapes. Nico and Susan were in touch with us throughout our time there and we also got the opportunity to meet them both again for a quick visit on our way to their camp, Enkakenya in the Masai Mara. Enkakenya Camp and staying three nights in the "star tent" was a trip highlight for us. This small, beautiful camp nestled in the bushes along side the river was small, quaint, tastefully decorated and the staff were top notch and treated us so kindly. We were the only people at the camp at the time, so had the place to ourselves and the opportunity to really relax, chat with the staff and get to know them a bit. When we left Kenya and crossed the border to Tanzania, we were sad to say goodbye to Gerald who we had enjoyed our time with so much. But our new Tanzanian guide, Fred, was equatlly terrific and we spent 5 wonderful days in the Serengetti and Ngorongoro, learning from Fred, seeing more awesome animal sightings and interesting landscapes, meeting more wonderful people and having many laughs and great conversations with Fred. In Tanzania, our favourite accommodation was the Ngorongoro Farmhouse. Beautiful location, great lodge and rooms, stunning gardens, complimentary happy hour, great meals that included coffee and vegetables grown on the farm, and staff that were so lovely, kind and helpful. This was a trip of a lifetime for us and beyond the awesome safari experience, we loved the experiences of visiting a Masai Village and a school in the area, the people of both Kenya and Tanzania that we met at all our accommodation and other places along the way were kind and lovely and we can not say enough about Kenya Tanzania Safaris / Destination Consultants for helping us to experience these beautiful countries in such a great way. If you are interested in a safari in Kenya and/or Tanzania - reach out to Nico and Susan... you won't be disappointed.

      Interesting Experience!!!
We enjoyed the experience not only the wild animals and scenery;but the people and children of Africa. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Most all of the lodges were wonderful, they all had a different vibe. Our favorite was the Entim Camp, the furnishings were modern yet appropriate for the area, the staff was exceptional there! It was the most outstanding food by far of any lodge we stayed in! I loved their gift shop and purchased items there. We were glad to have 2 nights of accommodations and could have enjoyed more. These days were the highlight of our trip in that we experienced a hot air balloon ride over the Masai Marra (Highly Recommend!) organized by Destination Consultants and they also arranged a visit to the Masai Tribe and Masai school. These were fantastic experiences!!!! Our driver with the help of Susan arranged a beautiful lunch in an outdoor setting over looking the water, because we were unable to have lunch at our lodge. It was owned by Susan and Nicolis and very close to the Entim Camp, we were given a tour and served a 5 star meal it was excellent! I’d say on par with Entim meals. Our least favorite accommodations was the hippo trail camp, likely because it was so hot and the reception area didn’t offer a cross ventilation breeze as the others did. We traveled a very long rough road ( we were warned) to Serengeti. By the time we had reached Tanzania and Ngorongoro Crater we had seen everything but flamingo’s and were very tired of car travel. We stayed at the Marers Lodge which was 1 1/2 hours from crater. To do over again we would have paid more if necessary to stay close to the crater entrance. This was unexpected extra travel. Positives- Every detail was taken care of! Park passes, visa’s transfers, the drivers are excellent and handle ever detail! This is huge plus when traveling in a foreign country. The value is good you get a selection of accommodations ranging from lower mid- to high end! You can customize your trip to exactly what you want! We went with just the 2 of us, it made a great experience not jocking for a spot in the van to view animals- we talked to the driver asked questions and had his full attention. The drivers were all excellent with their unique personalities. They were calm and confident and we always felt safe! Negatives- the Roads in Kenya and Tanzania are of extremely poor quality and poor infrastructure . This isn’t any reflection Destination Consultants but on the government. If we had a better understanding of this we would have elected to fly the last few drives from the Kenya Boarder to the crater and Amboseli and the return to Nairobi by airplane as opposed to driving. By driving however we were able to see the country and the African way of life, I captured so many pictures of the people along the way. Tips- 1. Add up the number of hours you’ll be traveling from point A to B. Understand the roads can be brutal if they haven’t been recently graded, this is the luck of draw. 2. Understand that safaris are not active trips. It is very difficult to exercise most lodges don’t have fitness facilities. You will be sitting a lot! Many lodges are in the Park which is very cool but you are not safe to go for long walks or jogs. 3. In my opinion 8–10 days, (we went 16 days) is plenty of time to do Safari drives and see parks. Plan a rest to Victoria Falls or Zanibar to relax before heading home. 4. Most flights depart from Nairobi very late at night- you might want to plan a rest in a hotel in Nairobi for that 9-10 hour period of time, boarding the plane feed, hydrated and a little more rested

Amazing Company for your East Africa safari
Trip When initially researching for my trip, I reached out to several companies. Niko was one of the first to respond with a comprehensive itinerary. As others responded, there were things they were not able to include but as Niko and I worked on my itinerary, he made modifications to accommodate all of my requests. As someone who usually plans all of my own trips, I really felt like I had a hand in creating our dream vacation. The value for our money was incredible. The accommodations selected were all unique and exciting. The food was amazing! Our tour guide, Eliud, was a wealth of knowledge and my four boys enjoyed his stories and all of the animal information he had to share as well as all of the cultural information as we drove through villages enroute between locations. He kept us on a perfectly balanced schedule. He sought out opportunities and experiences for us that were above and beyond what was on our itinerary. We saw EVERY animal that we could think should be seen on safari and many more that we didn’t even know we would see. Besides the days drives, our accommodations provided much excitement. We stayed in Ashnil in Samburu where we were greeted by dozens of monkeys on our decks and throughout the property. We went on a horseback safari, at Lake Elmenteita where we saw thousands of flamingos. We stayed at Sweetwater in Ol Pejeta where the animals came within meters of us at the watering hole and right outside our tent. And we stayed at Camp Enkakenya, the most amazing camp in the Maasai Mara where we heard the sounds of Rafiki the hippo who guarded the camp at night. Safety was a primary concern at all camps with watchmen walking us to our rooms at night. The food in all of the camps was plentiful and spectacular. While we were with Eliud all week, we had the pleasure of meeting both Niko and Susan on our trip. Their company Destination Consultants, is one of a kind. They truly provided us with the trip of a lifetime and were communicative throughout our week. I would highly recommend them for any of your Kenya or Tanzania travels!

      Beyond Our Expectations
It's difficult to know how to sum up a trip like this in just a few lines. From the moment of our first contact, Niko was attentive, answered our questions and looked after us well. Initially I didn't understand that each safari is tailor designed to your own specifications (length of safari and where you want to go). I gave Niko a couple of basic requirements and that was it, he came back with an itinerary which looked perfect, and was. But enough about the planning of the safari. It was the execution of it that really deserves the most accolades! Our Expectations: Exceeded! We saw more birds and animals than we could possibly hope for. Elephants meandering to the waterholes, lions binge-eating after a kill, vultures lining up waiting their turn, hippos en masse sunning themselves, thousands of flamingoes swaying to the breeze and even the wildebeest river crossing to name just a few highlights. The Accommodation: Fantastic! Every tent camp or lodge was different to the previous one. All were interesting and so comfortable with attentive staff and great meals. The Guides: Very knowledgable and with an incredible eye for finding animals in what just looked like empty savannah plains or hills to us. Peter was our first guide in Kenya. He knew the Masai Mara like the back of his hand and could find any animal we desired and those we'd not even thought of yet. We had so many positive and good experiences with him. Raymond was our next guide in Tanzania and what a fabulous guide he is too. So often we were the only truck around, having incredible experiences viewing the elephants enjoy the waterhole, 100+ hippos sunning themselves or 8 lions enjoying their breakfast kill. Having read previous reviews on this site that mention Raymond, I can truly say that nobody over exaggerates. He's a brilliant guide, lovely personality and a privilege to have spent time with him. Back to Kenya again and we had a few days with Niko and Karanje who found even more animals not often spied. They were both fantastic and great to meet Niko after all his planning of our trip. The Summary: Absolutely everything was beyond our expectations. So pleased we chose Kenya Tanzania Safari/Destination Consultants. They're small enough to care, but experienced enough to be able to deliver what is required for a good safari. We had one small hiccup one evening towards the end with accommodation that had overbooked (the venues fault). This was quickly resolved by Susan and Niko and I appreciated that having local people on the spot in the same time zone was essential for rectifying unpredictable issues. Without hesitation I can recommend Susan & Niko. PS: 2 of our party had a 5-day extension to Zanzibar which was a perfect finish and contrast to the safari. Beautiful accommodation in Stone Town and then a very plush resort at the end to shake the safari dust out of our hair. Recommend the extension too if you've got the time.

One of the best trips we had, highly recommended!
We travel a lot and this trip was one the best we have done, exceeding expectations! Booking with a local kenyan based company from USA was somewhat of a concern initially but the professional manner in which Niko and Susan responded to questions we were soon at ease, and when we arrived for the trip, we immediately knew we made the right choice, in fact glad we did as the whole team worked hard to provide a personal snd best experience!! Guides knew exactly where to go, we saw all big 5 animals anc more! Everything went smoothly as planned, highly recommended

Incredible memories of Safari and the amazing team at Kenya Tanzania safaris!!!
We had an incredible 9 days customized tour spanning Masai Mara (Kenya), Serengeti, Ngorogoro (volcanic crater), Lake Manyara and Tarangire (all in Tanzania). We stayed at campsites deep in the parks, game drives everyday, met some warm and wonderful people and relished our time in the animal world. Many memories to cherish especially the great migration!!! This was made possible due to the amazing team at Kenya Tanzania safaris, Susan and Niko were always at hand to help, respond to queries, offer options. Even in Kenya, they were extremely helpful and ready to support in any way to make our trip memorable. The guides Augustine, Karanja, Amos and Patrick were top notch with excellent experience, knowledge of the parks and understanding of the animals/ birds/ ecological cycle. They took the time to explain and help internalize the intricate balance between the various pieces in the parks, allowed us to appreciate the environmental side of things, in addition to just the safari. We would highly recommend this exceptional local team, hats off to you guys!!!

12 - day Tanzania and Zanzibar Tour
We did a 12- day Tanzania tour starting at Kilimanjaro then onwards to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and ending in Zanzibar. Niko and Susan helped design a great itinerary for us covering all our requirements while making excellent suggestions for logistics and travel. We are a family of five across 3 generations, but all of our individual needs were met very well. The accommodations were fantastic and meals had great local and international selections for our varying dietary preferences. Our guide Ray took good care of us throughout the safari days. He provided a lot of local information and was always open to answering our many questions. He was very well aware of the various routes and areas within the parks and made sure we had some really good sightings. After the safaris on the mainland, we stayed in Zanzibar for 4 nights. The accommodation by the beach was comfortable and relaxing after the long car rides during safaris. We did a tour of Stone town and Spice route with Abraham. Being a long time resident of Stone town, he was able to give us a very interesting tour of the old town area sharing interesting facts about its history, community and current conservation efforts. He also took us to well appointed shops where we bought local handicrafts and food items at bargain prices. He was very friendly, polite and informative. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed are vacation in Tanzania thanks to Niko and his team. We would definitely recommend them for East African safaris.

      Best last minute trip ever!
We were referred to Nico by a colleague. Thank goodness for him! Our previous plans had fallen through and were overall a mess, but he put together options and day trips that were amazing! His drivers Fred, Kevin, and Eliud were fantastic - they knew the routes, pointed out the interesting landmarks and animals we would never have noticed on our own, took us to fun shopping. We had to pivot multiple times as people added on or dropped out due to changes in travel plans, but they were ever responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this group. As for our trips, we did the Nairobi National Park safari and the giraffe experience one day, then Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island the next! Crescent Island was especially fun as you get a guided walking tour and get very up close and personal with giraffes and zebras without a car window in between. 10 out of 10 recommend!
