About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Samuel F0 contributionsBeautiful Views & Excellent ServiceStephen & Moses provided me with a wonderful experience. We got to the park early, and I found myself the only hiker on the trail! The views are stunning (wait until you get to the top, it is truly a wow moment), and I recommend hiking the whole rim if you’re up for it, about 9 miles total. Bring hiking boots and a reusable water bottle (2 litres if possible). Would recommend hiking poles for some sections that are a little steep and loose on the way down, but I survived without. Really recommend this trip for a fun day outside of Nairobi, and this group is the one to make it happen in a friendly and efficient manner. Thanks!!Written October 3, 2024
- 379te0 contributions1 week solo trip to Mt Kenya - super friendly and reliableI went 1 week to Mt Kenya with Perfect Wilderness Safaris. I can totally recommend this company. It was a super fun trip. Everyrthing was well organized and all were super friendly and reliable. Communication was clear and responsive. Everything that was agreed on was delivered as described with no extra charges. Very nice team on the mountain. Even changes of the route were possible according to special intetests. Please keep on the good work and reliability. Then I can highly recommend to anyone even if you come alone. Thank you!Written October 2, 2024

- 825naheedi0 contributionsBeautiful Place to StayExcellent place to stay. Nemo is excellent manager as well as all the staff at the hotel. The hotel is in the best location in Maasai Mara. If you are lucky you do not have to drive far to see the wildlife. There is a hippo pool at the hotel and one of the best hotels to see hippos in the Mara at very close range. Rooms are clean and the food is good. Definetely will recommend Keekorok. Thank You Ismail N stayed in sep 2024Written September 28, 2024

- cdrsuresh0 contributionsMemorable Trip to Kenya And TanzaniaI took their 11-day Kenya, Tanzania tour. It was good except for the last leg of the tour, viz return trip from Arusha to Nairobi for which we had to wait about 2 hours for pick up. Considering the peak season, I had booked the tour for August 2024 in Mar itself. The situation subsequently changed with the violence in Kenya and MPox threats. However, they didn't give any discounts. Tour vehicle was good. Accommodation at Nairobi and Arusha was average. Maasai Mara was below average. In Tanzania, it was good, especially at Ngorongoro and Tarangiri. Overall we enjoyed the trip.Written September 11, 2024
- Szymon K0 contributionsNice trip, with potential for improvementsIt is a good trip if you’re looking for spending time actively. The distance on bicycle trip was around 18km, return is a bit uphill. Isaac is a nice guy and can tell you a lot about the city, the park and Kenya. Things that could be improved (especially given the price): - bikes are dated, gears do not work perfectly and brakes are weak - I asked before trip if we’re going to be provided with a bottled water and got a positive reply, but this was not the case after all - it is hot at the park so guests should be informed to buy the water and take the sunscreen - the car could be cleanerWritten September 8, 2024

- Ecsee0 contributionsPrivate Mount Longonot TourMy driver, Gem picked me up from my hotel early in the morning and we drove to Mount Longonot. On the way, she was telling me thing about Niaorbi, the things we were seeing on our way to Mount Longonot, and the Great Rift Valley. I really appreciate her knowledge and her good driving. At Mount Longonot, I got my own private tour guide (I forgot his name). He was very patient and was able to point out animals from a distance. He even got some good pictures for me! It was a really beautiful hike. On my way down, it got super crowded and people going up were in a very slow moving line. Starting early means beating the heat and the crowd.Afterwards, Gem drove me back to my hotel and we had a really good conversation during the ride. I would recommend hiring this tour since I had a really good driver (Gem), got a private tour guide, and we started early.Written September 8, 2024
- Ecsee0 contributionsRide from hotel to airportI booked a car from my hotel to the airport. Gem was my driver. She arrived before my pick up time and was very patient in waiting. I only had 1 carry on bag and 1 backpack but her car was big enough to fit multiple large suitcases. She is very kind. Highly recommended!Written September 8, 2024

We had one free day in Nairobi and I can 100% say that it was well spent! We were collected promptly by our guide Simba and first taken to the Great Rift and then Lake Nakuru. Whilst it was a long drive, Simba was very friendly and filled us in on local facts and sights we passed. Lake Nakuru was breathtaking and we saw a number of wild animals. Lunch at the lodge was also excellent with a variety of vegetarian as well as halal options. We then travelled to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to see hippos before heading back. A long day but well worth it and with an excellent guide. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them again to other friends and colleagues heading out to Nairobi - they'd be in good hands!

I do apologize for literally taking more than 2 years to post this! I went to Lake Nakuru at the end of February'20 / early March '20 - right before the pandemic began! (sadly there is no option for February 2020 or March 2020 when I wrote this review!)
I was in Kenya for a short business trip and immediately searched for a one-day safari tour. Our tour guide was kind and friendly. He even managed to take us to come closer to the Zebra and Flamingos!
We were picked up very early in the morning by a jeep then we went straight to Lake Nakuru Park. There we went around the Park, saw many wonderful animals, and stopped at some great spots to take pictures. Then we visited Lake Nakuru itself. We took a boat and we saw so many beautiful birds with breathtaking scenery.
Two things I noticed were: (1) the ticket guy at Lake Nakuru Park asked me who would pay for the entrance ticket for the tour guide. I said that the driver must pay for himself. I found it a bit disturbing because I am sure the ticket guy knew about it but I had a feeling he just tried to "trap" me to pay for more (pricey) tickets. (2) Sadly we did not see any lions there. I guess it's just not our luck.
I hope I can visit Kenya again!

We booked this trip at the very last minute on the day before. However the process was very straight forward thanks to George. On the day of travel our tour guide Steven arrived on time and was very welcoming and informative. We got to Lake Nakuru by 9am paid our entry free (not included in the price) and were soon inside the park on a game safari. We saw plenty of animals including the white rhinos, black rhinos, flamingoes and many more. We then had a relaxed lunch at Lake Nakuru lodge (not included in the price) with a table overlooking the watering hole. The staff here were exceptional as well. As we were tired and had already had a good day we opted not to go to Lake Naivasha and head back to Nairobi early. All in all it was a fantastic day and we would recommend Perfect Wilderness Safaris as your tour company of choice.

My wonderful guide Paul arrived on time to pick me up at my hotel. He is friendly and an amazing person to have a chat with about different things in Kenya. He also had interesting information and facts about lake nakuru, lake naivaisha and the great rift valley along with other places in Kenya! He assisted in taking photos for me at all those places as I was a solo traveller and was patient enough to stop the vehicle so I can take photos of the nature and the amazing zebras, flamingos , buffaloes ,baboons, other birds, girrafe and the best part : RHINo family!. I really enjoyed the tour around those places as I also did the boat ride where I saw the hippos, eagles etc. Paul also showed me some stories where I could buy some souvenirs. Thank you so much Paul for your wonderful guidance in those places and being patient with me so I can take many memories with me back home. It's a great tour! God bless!

Expensive tour and didnt get what I paid for. A lot is offered in this tour but time was not managed properly so didnt get to see half of what I paid for. I couldve just paid for a taxi to drop me off at Lake Nakuru, wouldve been cheaper.
The car broke down, then when fixed he said it was too late to do the rest and that hes car wont make it all the way. I got half the trip I was paid for and now they are refusing refund. The company is lying and claiming that car only broke for 10 mins and I got to see a lion and have lunch lol. Its a joke really
Please book with a better, professional and reputable company and avoid this or it will ruin your experience. Its not worth all that money you will pay

Hello
Thank you for letting us know your sentiments about the day trip you took to Lake Nakuru National park. We take both positive and negative responses. That way we know where we need to improve our services. As the saying goes the customer is always right. Our clients are our priority. As a company we apologise for the mechanical issues that occured during the safari. Our vehicles are in good condition but there is sometimes unpredicaments that may occur. We have summoned the driver on the same but according to him it was the battery issue which that took a few minutes to solve thereafter you proceed with the tour as planned and later you left for Nairobi.
Yes we accept even the few minutes counts and we promise such issues will be avoided in future. We are sorry.
We promise excellent services to all our clients always.
Thank You!

Fantastic experience.
Pick up was at 8:00am from Naivasha and then we arrived at Nakuru for about 10:00am. We entered the park at 10:30am and left about 14:30pm. 4 hours on the safari! Entrance and taxi is paid for already via the tour booking so they is no hidden costs to this tour. Our driver/guide Nathan was incredibly polite and courteous as well as extremely knowledgable regarding the wildlife and plants in the park. We managed to see just about everything apart from lions but this was most likely due to them being hard to spot on the day.
Nathan was more then happy to stop at any occasion we asked on the safari so we could view wildlife in the distance and even lent us his binoculars for the day. Second time we have used this tour company for an activity in Kenya and if we had more time we would absolutely use these company again.
A brilliant experience with a great guide - would highly recommend it!

Apart from the App the government uses to collect payment for the entrance fee to the park, which didn't work properly and took away half an hour of precious time, the rest of the experience was magical. My friend and I would really recommend this tour. Big cats are less common which means other animals roam around freely and its wonderful seeing them in thier natural habitat. The your exceeded my expectations. The optional boat ride really made it perfect, that was when we saw hippos and even wilderbeast on the island we went to. I saw more varieties and species of animal than I ever imagined seeing in just one day. The boat ride was the best experience cos of the views and how close we could get to the shore to see the creatures. Black Santa our tour guide was excellent and I hope if I come again we can have him again. At Lake Naivasha , our boat guide was Ian and he got the eagles to come close by throwing them food. Brilliant day ! Good value for money compared to what other tours offered and well worth it!

Hello,
We're thrilled to hear that despite the hiccup with the payment app, you had a magical experience on the tour! It's fantastic that you were able to see so many different species of animals and that the optional boat ride added to the perfection of your day. Black Santa sounds like an excellent guide, and it's wonderful that Ian enhanced your experience at Lake Naivasha. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us, and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

An enjoyable solo trip. I felt in control at all times, and never pressured to do anything I didn’t want, and appreciated the flexibility of the itinerary. I chose to do a bike ride in Naivasha instead of the boat trip, which turned out to be a real highlight, but not recommended for the unfit! My driver Paul was a chilled, witty and knowledgeable guy. As a first timer Nakuru satisfied my safari itch in a limited timeframe. My only criticism would be that the car we took was not the best suited for safari as it was a regular people carrier with no sunroof, but equally that made for a more comfortable ride on the long drive from and to Nairobi. All in all I was pleased with how much we managed to fit in and still be back to Nairobi by late afternoon.

Hi Jane
I am not sure why you are asking me this.
You need to ask the safari company
However I can fully recommend Perfect Wilderness I found them 1st class and very helpful. They picked me up and returned me to my hotel. I am sure if it is at all possible they will be only to happy to help.
Ask for Paul as your driver
