About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- lovehu0 contributionsFive Star Tour ExperienceForget any other tour agency this is the ONE to book through. I was professionally communicated too before I arrived in Luxor, by the owner Mohamed. Yassin who booked my tour listened properly, and very carefully to my detailed request - meeting my price points and needs. He tailored a bespoke package of travel and guidance with Doctor of Egyptology and Mythology - Mahmud. The service from Yassin is reliable, respectful and highly recommended.Written January 22, 2025
- Jaklyn H0 contributionsHot Air Balloon TripWe booked this trip with Far and Away as they were really near where we were staying and had great reviews for their trips. Yassen sorted out our booking. This all went smoothly from pickup at the hotel lobby, transfer via car to the boat, a welcome cup of tea in the boat, further transfer to the balloon take off area. Toilets and more refreshments available. Make sure you have the mandatory EG£20 for the toilet. Refreshments here will also be extra. We were put into groups for the balloon baskets. I think they had to balance out the weight in the baskets for safety. If you get a choice of first basket or second it may be good to opt for second as you get longer on the ground to take amazing photos of the other balloons going up. Whilst I was a nervous flyer I found this experience to feel very safe and relaxing. It was amazing to be so high up and it being very quiet. We got some great pictures even though there was a slight mist in the air. Dress warmly for the wait to get in the balloons in January. It was cold waiting. As soon as the burners get going it is warm. You can take a small rucksack or bag. I suggest you have a lanyard on your phone just in case you accidentally drop it taking so many photos. I found mine really helpful. Worth the trip for sure. We paid $50 each. Good price. Extras - Tips are appreciated by the guys helping with the take off and landing of the basket and the guide also expected a tip. There was a videographer which would have cost more. We didn't want to have it and we were asked many times by the guy who eventually came down in price. I suggest a good haggle will get a reasonable price for this. It was a bit Bollywood style for us. 😃Written January 14, 2025
- 11lucyw0 contributionsWonderful authentic Nile experience aboard the 1899 DahabiyaOur journey aboard the Kingfisher 1899 Dahabiya from Luxor to Aswan was nothing short of magical. One of the original and oldest Dahabiyas on the Nile, its comfortable, well-appointed cabins provided a perfect blend of luxury and charm, while the beautifully designed deck and sitting area offered a serene space to take in the stunning views of the Nile. The professional and attentive crew went above and beyond, ensuring that every aspect of our trip went smoothly. The highlight of each day was the culinary delight prepared by the outstanding chef, who wowed us with one delicious meal after another. Drifting down the Nile, we were enchanted by the ever-changing landscape and captivated by visits to astounding ancient sites, each one more awe-inspiring than the last. Our knowledgeable guide, Alaadin, truly made the trip unforgettable, bringing Egypt’s rich history to life and deepening our appreciation of this incredible country. Thanks to the peaceful ambiance of the dahabiya, we had a rare opportunity to relax, reconnect as a family, and create memories that will last a lifetime.Written January 5, 2025
- peterf9490 contributionsHighly recommendedWe were guided by Hamdi, who is a knowledgeable Egyptologist and a good guide. We started the day with a hot air balloon ride and had a great breakfast at Malkata house. Far and beyond also arranged our tours to Abu Simbel and the Giza pyramids. All tours were good.Written January 2, 2025
- Trek125096580030 contributionsAn amazing holiday in Luxor and CairoJust returned yesterday from a fabulous 10 days in Egypt. We booked our initial hotel in luxor only from the UK and then came across 'Far and Beyond Travel' and Yassin who are situated next to the Winter Palace Hotel. Our Luxor East and West Bank tour , all travel to and from Airports and internal travel including flights and sightseeing in Cairo were booked through Yassin. What can I say, except, FABULOUS!!!! The Luxor full day East and West bank tour and Cairo 2 day tours were amazing. The guide Mamoud in Luxor was out of this world, the information and knowledge he was able to share was outstanding and in Cairo we had 2 days visiting the sites and museums with Michael. Internal travel including flights were reasonably priced, ran smoothly and really made our holiday go perfectl. The guides in Cairo which Yassin also organised a full two day touring before our return to luxor.ally would recommend anyone travelling to Egypt to not waste time using other operators and use Yassin and Far and Beyond travel. They are so professional, reasonable and offer the best service. I can't wait to go back to Egypt with all the family and I will certainly be using Yassin for my bookings. Thank you Yassin for making our holiday so memorable and easy for us.Written December 27, 2024

- Jill E0 contributionsFelucca at sunset was stunningWhat an absolutely fantastic experience this was. I can highly recommend this company for all the attention to detail and the quality of the service. We booked a private fellucca at sunset with food. The food comes from a really well known restaurant with great reviews so there's no worry about how the food has been prepared or how fresh it is - we had so much food there was enough to spend about three days on the Nile! It was absolutely delicious. The vegetarian option was an enormous plate, again big enough for about four people, with all different types of vegetarian food, all really tasty. Everything run like absolute clockwork from pick up to drop off and they also went out of their way to help my teens when they wanted to be dropped off on the east bank so they could do some shopping. The boat is really cute - along with all the other boats there wasn't enough wind to sail on the first part of the journey so instead we were towed on a long rope by an engine powered boat, but this didn't interfere with the experience at all because it was very far away from us. On the return journey we just drifted gently down and then were rowed the final part back. The views were beautiful ... from "golden hour" onwards. Great photo ops!Written December 23, 2024
- cgl950 contributions2-day Luxor tourI had an amazing 2 day tour of Luxor with Hamdi as my guide. The full day in the West Bank was incredible and we saw everything there was to see even a couple places most people miss. The lunch that day was also delicious; one of the best meals I had in Egypt! The second day was shorter for the East Bank sites (there is just less to see) but it was still great. Hamdi was very informative and was one of the best guides I had across Egypt.Written December 23, 2024
- veravU6283YO0 contributionsMohammed is the best tour guide in Luxor in this timeAmazing experience for fans of Egyptian history. We booked a tour with our guide Mohammed and driver Jalal since we loved the experience with them the day before. We visited Valley of Queens, Habu temple, Nobles temple and Karnak Temple. Mohammed studied to be a tour guide in Luxor and clearly has a lot of knowledge about Egyptian history and is very intelligent. He speaks good English and knows every detail about the tombs and the stories about the kings and queens in that time and how they are described on the beautiful colorful pictures on the walls of the temples/tombs. He is so enthousiastic about his profession and preserving Egyptian history that it sparked our curiosity to learn more about it. The Karnak temple was fascinating as it is huge with big pillars. The tombs in Valley of the Queens and the Habu temple had all the walls filled with beautiful colorful pictures showing all the Egyptian gods and hieroglyphs. This made us wonder how they could have built such huge structures with beautiful artistic details such a long time ago that are still preserved to this day. Especially the Nobles temple, was interesting as it gives an idea of the daily lives of the workers that lived in that time based on the pictures on the walls. We loved talking to Mohammed about old Egypt. Mohammed could answer all our questions on Egyptian history and beyond and motivated us to stay curious, which was very inspiring. The driver Jalal was also very nice as he opened the door for us every time we stepped in or out. He drove very smoothly and was waiting for us at each place. Egypt definitely got a place in our hearts now ❤️Written December 11, 2024

- Y2583XNdeniseb0 contributionsVery quite place to do retreats. It is the best location in Luxor on the west side. The house is small, familiar with excellent rooms with a fabulous view to the mountain and temples. The energy is very high and transforming. We were very well cared for by the manager and its stuff, wonderful cooking and just had an unforgettable stay there. Organization to temples on time and details were just great as well as surprises in between. Our guide, Saber shared his great knowledge of Egyptology and showed us the top energy spots in each temple, so that my retreat group could dive into and let their transformation happen. He is a great guide also on a spiritual level. We will for sure come back again. All the best to all Malkata House and team. You are the best. Denise BitterlinWritten November 20, 2024
- oanas4310 contributionsFantastic guided tour in Luxor - find out about the secrets and stories behind! We booked a two day tour of the East and West Bank in Luxor and would highly recommend it! Our guide Hamdi was fantastic, he knew so much about everything we saw and showed us many important details that we would never have noticed on our own. The lunch at Malkata House was exactly the kind of energy boost we needed at noon - sooo delicious and extremely generous, in a very beautiful and tranquil setting. Luxor is a destination not to be missed when visiting Egypt and the people here were all very helpful and welcoming. Certainly a holiday we will not forget!Written November 10, 2024

- yoyofactorybenb0 contributionsPerfect Day in LuxorI had one day to see Luxor and these guys put everything I needed together in a fantastic experience! I looked at day trip experiences from Cairo and booked my own flight so all I needed as my day set up and from the moment I arrived it was ON. My guide was Mohamed, who ascertained my needs and style very quickly, delivering again and again with the perfect amount of interactions and showing me as much as I could see in my single day in Luxor. Lunch was exceptional also. 10/10 would recommend and would rebook if I have any opportunity in the futureWritten October 30, 2024
- johannasX4822OJ0 contributionsExceptional cruise experienceCruising on the Dahabiya 1899 was truly an unforgettable experience, especially for our group traveling with five children who made memories to last a lifetime. This beautifully restored historic boat, brought back to life with care, provided the perfect setting to enjoy the breathtaking views along the Nile's riverbanks. The crew's exceptional service made our journey even more special. A big thanks to Chef Ayman, who treated us to three delicious home-cooked meals each day, plus delightful tea breaks. Our private tour guide, Saber, was outstanding. Not only was he highly knowledgeable, but he also took the time to listen to our preferences and ensured that our children, all of different ages, felt included and engaged. Every moment aboard felt like a dream come true. If you're considering a Nile cruise, we highly recommend the Dahabiya 1899 for an experience like no other.Written October 23, 2024
