He was very flexible with us and answered all of our questions regarding the tour. His English is excellent and we found out he speaks Italian as well! Overall, we would definitely do the tour again with Ramez.Written February 10, 2025

- L1772XBjoshd0 contributionsMystical Experience of Karnak Temple at NightTo finish my trip to Luxor, I returned back to Karnak for the sound and light show. Smiley (my great guide) and Mohamed (skilled driver) made this easy and accessible for me, so that I could just experience the incredible Karnak again but in a more somber environment. Seeing Karnak at night, with parts of the temple lit up and a voice and music bringing the temple alive, was a whole different experience. I do recommend seeing Karnak both during the day and at night, because you’ll want to explore more of the complex during the daylight, but the night show leaves a lasting impression of the legacy that is Karnak. Thanks again Smiley, Mohamed, and EgBride Travel for making my one-day in Luxor so special! I hope to be back and I’m recommending the trip to friends and family as well.Written January 11, 2025
- L1772XBjoshd0 contributionsIncredible Guided Tour of Ancient Egypt’s Honored DeadI only had one day in Luxor, but I wanted to see as much of it as I could while there. EgBride Travel and my guide Smiley (and driver Mohamed) made this possible for me. I did this tour, then Karnak and Luxor Temple, and the sound and light show at Karnak to finish. The Valley of the Kings was incredible, and it made it much more manageable and streamlined to have Smiley as my guide through it. The tombs are so well preserved and highlight the magnificence of pharaonic Egypt’s art work and craftsmanship in devotion to their rulers and gods. Walking up to Hatshepsut Temple, with the mountain of rock behind it, and the city of Luxor in front, was a remarkable experience. Smiley again helped bring the temple to life with his knowledge and care to point out important details. The Colossi of Memnon were huge impressive monuments and a testament to ancient Egyptian builders. My favorite part of this final part of the tour was the tasty lunch at a restaurant very close by to the statues.Written January 11, 2025
- T1411MYrichardc0 contributionsValley of the KingsAfter booking, we received several messages via Whatsapp welcoming us and advising us of pick up details. We were met in our hotel reception on time by Smiley, our guide. We were then taken to the car outside where we met our driver. Smiley was incredible, so knowledgeable, so friendly, so helpful and informative. He could not have been a better guide to the Valley of the Kings. Any question we asked he answered and nothing was too much trouble. We felt very comfortable with him and the driver at all times and could not have wished for a better visit to this incredible place. We were so satisfied with Smiley and the driver that we booked them to take us to Karnak Temple a few days later where we received the same level of service. We would not hesitate in recommending this company and especially Smiley as your guide. I doubt you will find a better guide in all of Egypt to take you around these sites. When we return next year we will again ask for him to take us to some more places.Written November 29, 2024

I was with my elderly mother and he helped explain everything in detail and helped her through our first tour to Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. I went ahead and booked with him for the full day West Bank tour, the Edfu & Kom Ombo Temple tours, the Aswan City tour, and the Abu Simbel Temples tour. That's 5 tours/5 days. That's how great he was. He helped us through more than half our trip. We had a great experience.Written October 11, 2024

- Paradise7034160 contributionsBest experience with Mahmoud (Osni)Our guide, Mahmoud(Osni), provided us with an unforgettable experience during our trip to Egypt. His fluent English explanations helped us understand the relationships between the Egyptian gods, kings, and various dynasties. He offered detailed insights into the construction of temples and pharaohs’ tombs, which enriched our knowledge tremendously. Mahmoud also took us to try local Egyptian delicacies, explaining the dining customs and cooking methods, immersing us in the local culture. We thoroughly enjoyed this in-depth travel experience and highly recommend seeking him out when visiting Egypt. If you’re looking to make great friends here, be sure to find Mahmoud—he will truly treat you like one. ☘️🍀🌿Written September 20, 2024

This was the 2nd part of my full day tour of Luxor with my great guide Smiley.
Karnak and Luxor Temples are both must-sees when visiting Luxor, and it was so much more rewarding to see them along with a guide than it was to see them alone.
Karnak is so impressive that it’s hard to describe in words. The sheer size of the complex, the height of the columns and walls, the art still largely intact, you really feel like you’re traveling back in time. There’s just nothing like it on the planet. It could be overwhelming without a guide, so again I was glad to have Smiley with me.
Luxor Temple is fascinating to me due to the fact that there is evidence of 4 different civilizations that built worship sites here on the same grounds. Ancient Egyptians building the majority of the complex, then Alexander the Great’s shrine in back, the Coptic artwork and graffiti, and finally the Islamic mosque still used today.
Highly recommend seeing these locations with EgBride Travel.
