I can only agree with all the positive reviews here. Ra was our guide to Abydos and Dendara which we were able to cover in one day. He has an immense knowledge which he shared with us and as one reviewer said, takes great photos for you. And if you speak German, Ra speaks German too! Thank you from Fran & Blanka!

Our trip to Egypt was amazing. The temples were incredible, and our guide, Rah, made the history come to life with engaging stories and insights. We learned so much while having a lot of fun along the way. Highly recommend this experience!

Ra was the best guide! He took us to Karnak and Luxor temple and was so informative. He taught us how to read hieroglyphics even and gave us postcards to help translate for us to keep. He even last minute took us to the Valley of the Kings. Afterwards he took us to a local shop that makes Egyptian goods/art and even gave is a small gift free of charge with our names written in hieroglyphics and provided us with a small gift as well. Super informative and friendly, highlight recommend. He made the tour fun as well! We came from America and won't forget it!

We spent two days with Ra.He was very polite and helpful. He is very knowledgeable about egypt history. We went to Luxor temple & Kanak temple & Valley of the King & Hatshepsus around the town , we very enjoyed! At the end of trip, Nile river sunset cruise his wife personally baked a cake for us. We recently came back from our tour of Egypt and Ra was our tour guide for Luxor to Aswan road trip. We visited Edfu and Kom Ombo temples with him and I must say he does his best to make it a memorable experience. His contact number is +20 106 509 8039. He gives a lot of information, which we like. He also makes it interesting and engaging through anecdotes and weird facts. He also did some quick quizzes and gave out postcards as prizes. He even helped us shoot a short video of the whole family competing to read a Kartoos. All in all, it was fun with him and I would highly recommend him.

It was a great day in Luxor's East bank, visiting the temple of Karnak, Luxor and the museum. It was really nice to be with Ra who explained me lot of stuff about the historical context, the meaning of the sculptures and the every day life of the people nowadays in Egypt. We went to a local restaurant and I tried some great new dishes. I strongly recommend Ra, he speaks very well English and is very professional.

We did a full day Luxor tour with him which had valley of queen, east and West Bank. He was professional, took pictures, never rushed us and was friendly with our daughter. He was knowledgeable and had great English. Don’t hesitate to book him.

Ra is an excellent tour guide. We asked him pick the sights with good historical and artistic variety and he guided us to the most and least visited places, all with their own special features. We enjoyed having Ra guiding for us in Luxor, Abydos and Dendera. I know who to call when we come again.

Ra is a cool dude! We were accompanied by him for four days during our trip in Egypt in October 2023. It was so great to have him by our side and give us explanations (especially for the kids it was great to have those in German) and insights to the history and to guide us to most important places in the vast amount of things to see (incl. picture service ;-).

We found Ragab's phone number online and contacted him via WhatsApp about a private transfer from Luxor to Makadi Bay (Hurghada area) with hotel pickup and dropoff. Communication was very easy and clear. Ragab even met us the evening before the drive to answer any questions we still had (tourist permit?). The price we ended up agreeing on (for full transparency: 65$) was fair in my opinion. We paid 20$ of that the evening before as a deposit for the tourist permit which is apparently required for this route (Ragab also took a photo of our passports at this opportunity), but to us it is still not 100% clear if this permit is actually required - the driver has not shown anything to any of the 3-4 police stops along the route (but gave them baksheesh instead). But this is a minor detail, I just would like to mention it for other tourists who are also confused by the contradicting information about these permits online. Ragab put us in contact with the driver Waleed (via WhatsApp in a group specifically made for this transfer). On the day of the transfer, it was also very easy to keep in contact with both Ragab and Waleed to update them of the pickup time and location. When we arrived at the ferry dock, Waleed was waiting at the agreed spot in the exact same car Ragab mentioned the evening before (he also sent us photos of the two cars he said are available). At the beginning of the drive, Ragab also called to wish us a safe journey and made sure everything is fine. The car we had is air conditioned, has a middle console instead of a middle seat (which makes this very comfortable) and is very clean. There is also plenty of space for luggage. Waleed was very professional, stopped on the way so that we can go to a shop shortly and drove well as far as I could tell. He brought us to the entrance of our hotel in Makadi Bay in about 3.5-4h without problems. Overall, we can definitely recommend Ragab and Waleed for transfers. Both seem to be very motivated to provide a comfortable experience for customers. Of course I can't comment on guided tours, since we only booked a transfer without sightseeing stops in between. During the whole trip around Egypt, Ragab and Waleed are probably the only two honest people we've met.
