I highly recommend this experience.Written August 12, 2024
- MyC320 contributionsWonderful time!I had a wonderful time with private day tour. My guide Mohamed has great amount of knowledges for each stops and took time to explain very well. - Cassandra G0 contributionsA perfect private tour for my solo daytrip to Luxor!Luxor was wow! A perfect private tour adapted to my pace and interest. My guide Alaadin was a most knowledgeable Archeologist / Egyptologist….He grew up on the west nile playing in the tombs as a child and has deep passion and knowledge for his region…made my day so much better and informative! My driver Mohamed was impeccable and made the car and drive super comfortable. Drive thru the desert of Safaga at sunrise to the road that lines the east bank of the Nile from Qena where everything becomes green and mountains are seen on the horizon…until Thebes (Luxor)…where magical wonders await! 💜 The Karnak complex was just crazy impressive, the heights, scale and history…all written on its walls and columns…it transported me to visions of ancient times… The Valley of Kings was just as impressive with its magnificent gigantic tombs decorated with ancient tales…Ancient Egyptians rulers considered their tombs their forever home so they took immeasurable care in constructing it (the longer the reign, the bigger the house..tomb;) The temple of the controversial and ambitious, Hatshepsut a history meant to be erased by her step-son but survived despite it all… And lastly, a wonderful and generous lunch on the Nile. What a day 💜Written September 2, 2023
- lauravolckaert0 contributionsTHE tour to book when in LuxorWe did the private western bank tour with Haytham and the only thing we can say: “impeccable”. Haytham and his driver came picking us up at our hotel in an incredibly clean car. We did all the monuments mentioned and we’re just amazed by Haytham’s knowledge. He could answer every question and told us everything we needed to know to appreciate the sites at their fullest. He stopped multiple times to buy us water and took multiple pictures of us and the monuments. Next to that he is very responsive, helps you with every issue/concern and overall is a great person. On top of that he also arranged us another tour in Luxor for a good price which was also of excellent quality. Overall, if you’re considering booking any experience with Haytham or his company I won’t look any further and just go for it! It’s worth the money! Thank you, thank you, thank you.Written September 20, 2022
- James C0 contributionsGreat ExperienceMohamed was an excellent guide! He is very knowledgeable and detailed. Doing a private tour is definitely the best option if you want to learn about the history from a local.Written March 21, 2022
- alexandert7630 contributionsTwo unforgettable days wandering the most important sites in human historyWe had two magnificent days out with Shimiaa in the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut - and then in Karnak and Luxor Temple. Finished up with a felucca on the Nile. Shimiaa has great wit, is extremely energetic and knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease at once. She knows the area like the back of her hand and is steeped in Egyptology so can answer any question. In such an important and breathtaking place it is important to have a guide to match the magnitude of the sites - and Shimiaa is just that. Can't thank her enough for making our trip so memorable.Written April 17, 2021
- NatashAdventure0 contributionsAsk for Shimiaa as your guide! Both my husband and I are impressed with the professionalism and personality of our guide Shimiaa. We spend two entire days with her and could easily spend more. Shimiaa definitely cares about the memories you will take back home with you and suggest the best combination of places to visit. Her knowledge of Egypt is unlimited and she happily shares everything she knows. What is even more impressive is that Shimiaa is a mother of three and she brilliantly copes with this demanding job in Luxor, where being a female guide is not that usual. Thumbs up to Egypt Tailor Made for giving such a bright woman a chance to shine professionally. Keep it going! You should be proud of Shimiaa's work.Written April 17, 2021
- IngeV8150 contributions10/10 for Hassan, our trusted and experienced local guide, with a great sense of humourOur visit of Luxor's Westbank was the so called 'crown on the Egypt jewel' consisting of 3 day-visits in Cairo, 3 day-visits in Aswan and surroudings, and 2 day-visits in Luxor with my wife and our 11 year old son. Before arriving here, we submitted our plans to Tailor Made Tours Egypt based on a positive referral, asking them for a competitive quote for professional guides & driver services. They did. Specifically about the Westbank, our idea was to to see the Memnon statues, visit 6 tombs in the valley of the Kings, the Hatschepsout temple and 1 tomb in the valley of the Queens. Hassan Abdel Baset, our wonderful guide and father fo two, did so much more than accompanying us and sharing his knowledge. His openness and senses of humor & relativisation worked great for us. During the whole day he kept entertaining our son separately, for instance when my wife and I wanted to stay longer in certain tombs to appreciate the amazing colors. Getting to know us, our guide also made us realize that less tombs would do the job in the first valley, thus making us save time and money that we were able to use differently. After a quick stop at an alabster factory, we all ended the day having a wonderful diner together in a nice restaurant overlooking the Nile & the Louxor tempel. All together we did 5 day-tours with Hassan and our driver Mamdoh. We strongly recommend them. Both very professional and honest! Frank, Inge & AdrianWritten March 14, 2021
- wootwootglobetrotter0 contributionsSabry Made our Trip! Thanks to Walid for setting up our Cairo tour. We had an incredible experience with Sabry! Not only was he an incredibly informative guide, but a fun and skilled photographer as well. He showed us around all of the important sites in Cairo from the Pyramids to the Egyptian Museum. At each stop he explained everything in depth and professionally, and had an answer to every question we had. And for the cherry on top, he knew the best places to take pictures and they came out incredibly well. Not only did he provide us with an incredible experience, but left us with some great photographic souvenirs to show to family and friends at home! Thanks for your help Sabry, couldn’t have asked for a better experience in our short time in Cairo! Ask for Sabry if you need a tour!Written October 29, 2019
- tommoneypenny0 contributionsAmazing Luxor and Abu Simbel ToursOur ‘Egypt Tailor Made Tour’ guide Yasser was way more than anyone could hope for...just fantastic! BTW...this was the second part of our Egypt vacation and we were just as pleased with our guide Hebe in Giza and Cairo....so well done Tailor Made Tours....you are awesome! Yasser....at one point when we were buying Local wares....summed up our relationship over our few days together perfectly when he told the Sales guys to treat us like his close friends or family....that it didn’t feel like he was just at work with us!! He traveled with us from the cruise ship to several outings and made arrangements for our hot air ballon ride over Luxor always ensuring we were not only well informed about the history of things but were in a safe and fun space always being well taken care of! We loved his ‘Royal British accent’ and charismatic personality! We shared a lot of laughs and fun times! Thank you so much for the wonderful memories and for keeping the driver awake with your stories on the long road trip to Abu Simbel! Sorry we kept you overtime and hope your kids finally got their McDonald’s hamburgers 😎Written October 21, 2019

Two relatives of mine suggested Taylor Made Tours and they definitely did not disappoint. Thank you so much Ismail for your beautiful honest nature. I would come back again just to see you!Written July 10, 2019

- cristian d0 contributionsGreat tour! Our guide & the tour driver offer a great experience of the Valley of the Kings & Valley of the Queens. The guide is very knowledgeable in Egypt history and is able to answer questions on-the-go, resuming his detailed presentation at every stop on our way. We especially appreciated the extra effort he made coping with the extreme heat while fasting.Written May 30, 2019
- dreamtravelsL470 contributionsWest Bank LuxorI was in Egypt for a total of 5 days. I took four different tours (with four different companies) during this time. By far, this was the best tour that I went on. I was traveling by myself, so I reserved private tours. Taylor Made Tours hosted my West Bank/Valley of the Kings tour. I asked for it to be customized to my preferences, they accommodated no problem. My tour guide Ahmed was absolutely wonderful! He answered any and all questions that I had. He was very patient and gave me plenty of time to take photographs...Of all my tour guides he was the best!! No complaints. On a quick side note, it listed in the tour reservation that we would stop for breakfast at an Alabaster Factory. This experience was absolutely awesome! I didn't believe I wanted to do this, but I am SO glad I did. The breakfast was beyond delicious! The education on how Alabaster is used and carved was so interesting. Not to mention the product they created there was phenomenal. SO glad they put this in the tour.Written May 1, 2019
- RAULOKAMP0 contributionsEgypt Tailor Made is the BEST!!After Cairo, we went to Luxor, Egypt Tailor Made tours owner by Mr. Walid provided us a great professional service. Mr Emad received us at the airport (very professional and goes way and beyond to show Luxor as a city not only tourism) and help us with everything to the hotel check in. Later our English speaking guide Mrs. Najlaa was super professional and educated, she showed all the sites and I am very pleased with the services. I want to say thanks to the Egypt Tailor Made Owner Mr. Walid, your company and staff are very professional, always before the time and very educated. Thanks so much I loved Egypt thanks to you.Written April 2, 2019
