We went on a full day tour in Luxor with Ayman and had an absolutely wonderful time. He has vast knowledge and presented everything in a truly engaging way, but also allowed us to have about space to explore the spaces on our own. I would absolutely recommend him and repeat the experience. It really was a highlight of our 10 day trip around Egypt!

Ayman gave an amazing tour and we were able to visit 4 different sites in one day including the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple and Luxor! Ayman’s grasp of the history and connections between the ancient Egyptians, Roman Empire, and early Christians was astounding. We were also impressed with how he scheduled our flights, hotel and itinerary between Cairo and Luxor. 5 stars for sure!!

The trip was very well organised. The taxis were always on time and the day was well planned out. A visit to Luxor is a must if going to Egypt - the highlight was the Valley of the Kings. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and added a few extras without being asked. Highly recommended.

We had a beautiful experience in Luxor, learning a lot about the history and culture of Egyptian pharaohs. Ayman our guide made it a great day and experience through his wealth of knowledge and experience. I will hands down recommend Ayman to anyone who is willing to visit Luxor during their trip in Egypt. Started the day with Memnon, then headed to Hathshepsut Temple and then to Valley of Kings and ended the day with Karnak Temple. We were supposed to also visit Luxor Temple, but could not manage. The experience included a delicious arabic lunch and transportation around the various sites. Cheers to Ayman and we wish him all the very best!

Ayman gave und a wonderful tour in Luxor. We visited the valley of the Kings, a monastery and a temple. On the route he explained a lot of key facts and some nice-to-knows. If you care for a broadly educated guide who customises the tour to your needs and is willing to answer to dozens of questions, Ayman is your perfect choice. We felt save and very well taken care of at every minute.

It’s August 2021, and despite a pandemic and the heat , my friend and I decided to head to Egypt for a week. We had heard wonderful things about Luxor and were recommended Ayman from a friend of a friend who had visited from the US two years prior. Ayman did not disappoint - he was our favorite tour guide in Egypt. We told him our priorities and he crafted an amazing 3 day custom itinerary that included early morning starts and after lunch naps to both beat the crowds and avoid the heat. We had already booked a hot air balloon tour and felucca ride and he was happy to work around that in our schedule. He knows so many people in town when it comes to tourism - which was evident as we walked around every site in the area with people saying hello. We had wonderful air conditioned cars transporting us around Luxor and the tours included delicious lunches at good restaurants as well as plenty of bottles of water to keep us hydrated (and plenty of opportunities to use the WC). The itinerary included Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple, Habu Temple, Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Statues of Memnon, and Hatshepsut Temple as well as two shops with a papyrus making and Alabastar carving demonstration and opportunity to purchase souvenirs from artisans. We were able to have alone time without him to take pictures at each site, which made the private tour a perfect mix of information sharing as well as personal time. We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend Ayman and Egypt Shadow Tours to anyone coming to Luxor!!! Thanks Ayman!!!

Ayman was fantastic. Recommended by a friend of a friend we sent Ayman a message on WhatsApp to help us plan and guide us around Luxor. We had alotted 3.5 days for Luxor and knew some things we wanted to do, but not all. Also from research we realized that as 2 female travelers who don't speak Arabic, it might be nice to have a guide help us out with communication and travel. Ayman came up with an itinerary for us which helped beat the heat, was not rushed at all (but also not to slow) and worked with what we wanted to do. He is extremely knowledgeable and had so much information for every location. We also had a wonderful driver with Air Con which helped significantly in the summer heat. Already passed his info on to another friend who's coming to Egypt in a few months. Highly recommend. He was a joy to have as a guide. I also love when guides give you plenty of "free time" at places so you can take all your weird, Instagram photos and selfies in private without judgement 😂

We were accompanied by an expert guide from shadow tours on our dahbiya cruise from Luxor to Aswan. The guide Mohammed made this cruise very special . He is very knowledgable and was going out of his way to ensure we learnt all about these ancient cultures and sites along the way. We visited all of the temples from Esna, Edfu, to Komombo and Philea at Aswan. One if the highlights was the camel market at Darau and the walk through the desert and Oasis. An excellent service was provided all the time , making you feel special and safe. We could not have had a better time.

Ayman took us around Luxor for two days. the tour was just great, the right amount of information, interesting stories, good knowledge of details. He is also extremely friendly and whichever site we went he was greetied by guards and other guides more than any other person in the same business! We also asked for an additional excursion to Gourna for recent architectural project of the famous Hassan Fathy, not the usual touristic destinations during our trip which made it even better. The driver was also very polite and professional. thanks

Booking the Aswan-Luxor tour through Egypt Shadow was warming and enriching experience for us. The guide Ayman was friendly and took care of all our needs, also he knows everything about the history of all the places (which is something too much to absorb). It was an awesome experience and I highly recommend to book your tours through them.

My day trip to Luxor was absolutely incredible!!!! I was picked up from my Giza Airbnb and taken to the Cairo airport very early in the morning. I arrived in Luxor at about 5:30am and was picked up by Ayman Elhassany and the driver. We went to Hatshepsut’s Temple, Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple. The driver took us to all locations. It was nice to be able to leave my coat and belongings in the car since we had the same car all day. Ayman is so knowledgeable and I learned soooo much!! I REALLY REALLY enjoyed his style of guiding. He would explain many things when we arrive at sites and then give me my own time to roam around at my own pace and take photos. I never once felt rushed. We also had a very delicious African lunch at a restaurant with a view that over looked the Nile river! We ended the day by having some sugar cane juice, which I had never in my life tried! It was very tasty! I was taken to the airport in Luxor, flew to Cairo and picked up by a driver who took me back to my Airbnb. It was a flawless and non-hassle day. I’d also like to note that I am a solo female traveler and not once did I ever feel unsafe! I’m so happy I booked this tour!! One of the highlights of my life!! Thank you to Ayman for spending all day with me and showing me around Luxor!! :)

Given the opportunity to visit Cairo for a long weekend I opted to fly straight into Luxor overnight and onto a tour with Mohamed from Egypt Shadow. I didn't know what to expect and only knew that I wanted to see as much as possible before I headed to Cairo. Mohamed did not disappoint. What this man doesn't know about the history of ancient Egypt isn't worth knowing. He's an incredible storyteller and really bought the history to life, I'm certain the tours around us were envious. I was also incredibly well looked after considering the immense heat, and at every opportunity Mohamed checked if I need a break from the sun, water or even a treat of some fresh sugar cane juice. I achieved everything I wanted from the trip and this was only possible thanks to Mohamed and our driver. Now that I've got Mohamed on WhatsApp I'm certain when I next pan to visit he will be there first person I contact. Don't be lured in by other tours that include all the optional extras because what you gain in minimal ease of knowing everything is catered for, you lose on the quality of guide. That much was obvious when I looked at other people's tours.
