Ask for Shimiaa Rabie - a highly educated and great tour guide who was more than equipped to answer the numerous questions throughout the tour, not just about the history but the wider area. Visited the Valley of the Kings and other sites on the Nile West Bank, it was a great day and whilst very busy she helpfully guided through the history of the area and the links between each of the sites and the city itself! I would highly reccomend!!!

Our driver (Ahmed) made our trip from Luxor to the valley of the Kings and the temple of Hatshepsut comfortable and fun. He went the extra mile to briefly inform us about historical facts that interested us. Towards the end of the trip, we said we'd like to try the local sugar cane juice while in Egypt and he offered us some from a local shop as a gift, without asking anything in return (of course we offered a good tip at the end). Our guide Shimiaa Rabie made the tour around valley of kings and Hatshepsut temple much more interesting and made us feel comfortable, as opposed to all the people who offer you "information" in these touristic sites. Really kind and easy to understand, doesn't rush the explanations and answers all the doubts. My only complaint is the visit to alabaster shop, which is just a trick to make you spend more money, but I'm fully aware is part of his job and doesn't depend on her

Nice day with Shimmia as our guide, we went to the valley of the kings, and a few temples. She has quite a lot of knowledge of Egyptian history and a high level of English to communicate it. She lets you take your time on the tombs of the valley and answers all your questions. Nice time!

She is a university trained Egyptologist and very experienced guide who knows how to convey the necessary context an info about the visited places in a highly professional and at the same time entertaining manor. Great group of people offering nice trips all around Egypt. We did a balloon trip above Luxor and then visited Valley of Kings and Hatshepsut temple. Our guide Adem and driver Mahmed did amazing job showing us the beautiful places near Luxor and gave us good tips. I can definitely recommend this company. The tour is really good, you visit almost all the important stuff, everything is super beautiful and impressive, but it's also important to give credit to our amazing driver Ahmed, he was super friendly, kind and nice, it wouldn't be the same without him.

Before arriving in Luxor, we booked a tour with an agency we found online for a round-trip tour in the same day, which was very tiring and therefore very expensive, to Abu Simbel. When we arrived at the Nefertiti Hotel, we asked about tours in Luxor, and they introduced us to Magic Carpet Tour, who offered us packages at a very competitive price for a private tour for just a couple, since we didn't want to be in a large group. We booked a tour with them to the Valley of the Kings, with a visit to 3 tombs, as well as the temple of Hatshepsut, and a visit to the beautiful tomb of Sennefer, in the Valley of the Artisans. When asking about another tour to more far destination - adapted to our choices - with Edfu, Kom Ombo, a night in Abu Simbel, the Hydroelectric Power Plant (dam) in the beautiful city of Aswan, with a quick "sightseeing" and a quick lunch in Aswan (which certainly deserved a stay of at least one night and not just a quick stopover as we decided - which is good, however, because we will definitely return) and last but not least, visiting the Temple of Isis, on the island of Philae, which was our preference because we loved the view of this temple on an idyllic island surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, the beautiful river and the beautiful rock formations, the proposal of the tours and the final price, with both tours were so good, that as we still had time to cancel the other tour, we canceled it and did all with Magic Carpet. We are extremely happy with our choice and with the excellent service, hospitality, friendliness, kindness, of everyone we dealt with, from the booking of the tour, at the hotel itself with a representative of Magic Carpet Tour, to our private driver, the kind, super polite, extremely professional, and more important: the excellent driver - our dear (habib) AHMED who is certainly super responsible. May God bless them all at this dear company that deserves very good recommendations and the best possible review. Since we are not rich tourists, we were really grateful for the proposal, perfect for our budget, and we only didn't request Ahmed's as our private driver to take us to Hurghada because our budget was already very tight, so we took the local bus. Otherwise, we would love to have his service again. We can't wait until we can go back to Egypt, and certainly won't waste time looking for other companies. Magic Carpet is without a doubt our first choice, without hesitation!
