We had a great time! I first reached out to the company through WhatsApp, while I was planning our trip to Egypt. Shaimaa was very nice and helped me to book all our tours of Upper Egypt, as well as transportation to and from the airport. Then, when we got to Luxor, they assigned us Ahmed Azis as our guide and he made sure we had a fantastic time. Ahmed was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and our tour would not have been the same without him. Not only he explained a lot of the history and mythology of Ancient Egypt, but also helped us find good places to eat and with anything else we needed. Also, our driver was very professional, chivalrous and careful. He made sure the car stayed clean and comfortable for us at all times. I highly recommend Magic Carpet!

The travel company is very well organised and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We have arranged the Hot balloons tour, trip to dendera and car transfer from Abu Simbel to Aswan + Marsa Alam to Luxor. Our tour with Ghada was amazing!! She's a great guide, told us so much interesting information, and was very attentive to our opinions and thoughts. She was happy to answer any and all questions we had during the tour, and even encouraged us to take pictures in the tombs and show them to her if we wanted further info. We were worried when going to Luxor because we hadn't booked a tour in advance, as we wanted to skip some of the "usual" sights and recommendations on what to see instead. Luckily, Magic Carpet worked from the lobby of our hotel (Nefertiti Hotel) and helped us tailor-make a custom tour for the very next morning, for a great price! Even more importantly, they gave us very honest and direct advice on what we should see and what was unnecessary. Ghada and her driver picked us up in a very nice van at 5.45 the next morning and showed us around Karnak Temple, per our request. She then dropped us back at our hotel as we didn't want to miss the breakfast, and picked us up an hour later to go the the West Bank. This tour (and Ghada) were awesome and we're so happy we booked it!

I cannot speak highly enough about my guided tour exploring Dendora and Kaynak. My guide Tayeb was not just a warm, friendly, kind person, but was very professional too. I don't feel my experience would never have been as magical with any other guide. Tayeb listened to my needs and wants throughout the day, and came up with the perfect way to achieve just that. He also added helpful suggestions that I would not have considered. In addition he could read the heiroglyths, which was awesome and he would explain the meaning and significance of those things I would have missed completely otherwise. He suggested amazing photo opportunities and allowed me time to explore yourself. Having him present also stopped me being hassled from hustles. I learnt so much throughout, although it doen't feel like being in school at all. I would highly recommend the Magic Carpet team to absolutely anyone. You will be so pleased that you did. From Nefertiti Hotel, Luxor, the breakfast box was also included in this tour, no worry to wake up early, prepare it by yourself. The driving was utterly comfortable, in addition to the destinations, the views from the car never let you be bored. The Egyptologist was certainly professional, there were many to learn what would be impossible by the private visit. Indeed, the difficult destinations to arrive especially by the foreign tourists, consequently the treasurable ancient Egyptian heritages that heave into sights are almost the trophies of magnificence. During the tour, just to relax, relying on the native driver and Egyptologist, the day of luxury in Egypt, which is absolutely promised!

Spectacular trip to the West Bank, with many explanations about the magnificent history of Ancient Egypt. I recommend doing this Tour.

Very good tour if you just have one day to visit the most important places in Luxor. Our guide Tayeb was very didactic.

The credit for our terrific experience in Luxor goes to Dr. Cherry, our guide. Her knowledge and expertise in explaining the history of each temple ensured we were well-informed. The driver Mohammed was exceptional. Both of their personality made the drive from each temple memorable. Dr. Cherry and Mohammed will tell us stories about the city as we drive around. Mohammed's van was always clean! I truly appreciate their generosity and people skills. If we were to go to Luxor again, whom would I specifically request to drive us around and be our tour guide? Dr. Cherry and Mohammed, you are the best!

My husband and I spent 7 days touring Aswan and Luxor. We chose Magic Carpet Travel for this trip. Our driver was Ahmed Zaky, and guide was Ahmed Aziz. We could not have been in better hands. Our guide was so knowledgeable about every attraction and was an expert at counseling us on the best times to go to a place in order to avoid the crowds. He was also very patient, waiting for us to complete our endless photography. Our driver, Ahmed Zaky was also extremely professional and careful. He managed to navigate the traffic and road conditions in a way that still amazes us. The car was always spotlessly clean, and Ahmed was always right there to pick us up.
