Spent an hour and half with my wife at Luxor temple. It was recommended to go just before sunset and that was excellent advice. The sunset gives lovely colour to various parts of the temple. And it is tastefully lit up once the sun has gone down.

Some remarkable columns and statues from Ancient Egypt. A section added by the Romans. And there is a mosque built much later within it - that U don’t really see except from a distance.

Time well spent. A lovely example of the splendid work and symmetry of the Ancient Egyptians.

Historic ruins of the great temple of Luxor and the avenue of the sphinxes that connected it to temple of Karnak in ancient Egypt. Beware of locals hanging out and pointing to beast places for photos/ etc - they expect a tip for their “help”

Fantastic site, lots of interesting changes in political leadership reflected in the various artwork and architecture. For its age, and exposure to the elements the colours are amazing to see. So is the scale of work.

Easy to walk around, best to go late in the afternoon.
