Go Luxor Tours was recommended to me on a frequent traveler group. I sent a contact email and received a prompt reply from Mike. After a couple of emails to tailor my experience to what we wanted, we accepted the proposal and booked several days worth of tours in Cairo, Luxor and a private transfer to Hurghada in addition to all the airport transfers. As the day approached Mike contacted me to confirm the details and was in contact when we landed at Cairo at close to 3AM. Our tour guide Mario and driver Paul were waiting for us and took us to our hotel. The next tow days we visited the Egyptian Museum, a bazaar, Giza pyramids and Saqqara pyramid. Mario was knowledgeable and fun to spend the days with. In Luxor, Mike picked us up and we went straight to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and an evening boat ride on the Nile. The following day we toured Karnak and Luxor Temples with Mike then were driven in a private vehicle to a few days in Hurghada. The airport transfers were perfect and less expensive than coordinating with the hotel(s). Overall, I would highly recommend them for not only the tours, but all logistics while being in Egypt. As an American that has travelled to several countries, Egypt, by far, would have been the most overwhelming to try and navigate alone.

We had a fabulous Egyptian vacation with Go Luxor. We went from Cairo to Hurghada. Michael and his team were wonderful- very informative, professional and fun to be with. Michael even helped us through some illnesses. We would highly recommend Michael and his team.

Our trip was very well organized by Michael and his colleagues. Michael was the point of contact for us throughout the trip. He was very helpful and responsive. Since this was our first time to Egypt, we had lots of questions. Michael helped us with the process and planned our trip really well. We requested a custom itinerary outside of their standard packages as our trip was for 10 days. We did Giza (Pyramids), Aswan & Luxor (lots of beautiful temples) and Hurghada (only drive from the airport to the hotel was included in Michael's package). Overall, we had a great experience and lots of great memories.

We did a private tour of the Pyramids and Museum in Giza with Mario thru GoLuxorTours. It was amazing, Mario even arranged a camel ride. Then we flew to Aswan and met with Mike also thru GoLuxorTours. We went did the Nile cruise for three days! We had a wonderful time. Went to see the Ramses 11 temple and then stopped to see the tombs in valley of the kings. And the temple ruins in Karnak, also the temple of Nefertiti . Mike was very knowledgeable and patient with all our questions, took us to a local market, a papyrus store and a rug store. It’s amazing to see all the beautiful artwork and techniques produced by these young artists. Then Mike arranged an amazing balloon ride on our final day. Thank you Mike for your great sense of humor and your knowledge. We had such a wonderful experience.

We just returned from a week-long tour of Egypt with Go Luxor Tours, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. From the moment we booked our tour via WhatsApp to departure, the company's communication and customer service were top-notch. They helped plan our visits and provided great recommendations on hotels and places to eat. I did the solo, single-day tour of Abu Simbel and the Philae Temple Complex in Aswan. I was provided an excellent driver who arrived on time and an incredibly informative guide named Mike. I have never been on a guided tour before, and I am so glad this was my first. They provided excellent, professional, and speedy service along with snacks, and several tips for my stay in Egypt. If you are solo, a couple, or a group, and are looking for an effective, English-language tour that truly gives you your money's worth, look no further—this is the place!

I wanted to learn about traditional weaving techniques on the Nile and was able to have this arranged through this agency with guide Michael Samir. I enjoyed the experience and found it to be very educational. Michael was kind, polite and professional. He was an excellent translator and helped me to have a greater understanding of the weaving process in Egypt as well as the culture which the particular family we visited was living in. I was happy with the experience and the outcome of the trip. Michael is a knowledgeable guide and I would recommend him to groups and solo tourists.

Michael from Go Luxor Tours was incredible! It was like travelling with another friend but a friend who had incredible knowledge. Our tour with Michael started with the Valley of the Kings where he selected the best tombs to visit. Michael knew the story behind every Tomb even without being able to go inside. He knew what each of the hieroglyphic scenes could mean as you dived into the depths of each kingdom. Next was the temple of Hatshepsut and Valley of the Queens where the same could be said about Michael’s great knowledge. He tailored his talks to what we wanted to learn and our level of knowledge of Ancient Egypt. He also always had a fun story to keep the journeys exciting but light hearted - great in the Egyptian heat. We then visited both Karnak and Luxor temples where we started to experience more of Michael’s great sense of humour and even more of his extensive knowledge. We learnt so much here and was one of the highlights of our trip. We also got to witness Michael’s photography abilities as he helped us pose like an Egyptian and get the best shots with our camera, again always adding to the fun. The next long car trips took us down to Edfu, Kom Ombo then Aswan. Each of these areas all with different stories and experiences. It is one thing to do a day tour but Michael was with us for a few days and the way he tailored and delivered his knowledge to us meant we could actually remember the different temples and significant sites, not just some trivia to forget after an hour. Finally was Abu Simbel for us with Michael. He stayed with us the whole time in the airport and always made us feel safe in a hectic day to travel to and from Aswan. He made sure we kept moving so we got to experience this incredible place before all the crowds of the other tour groups, a constant theme across our private experience. Thank you again Michael, you really did make our experience fun, safe and memorable for all the right reasons. Not a bad word to say.

Extremely good experience from start to finish. My wife and I were in Cairo for a 10 hour layover and Go Luxor helped us make the absolute most of our time there. First off, communication was flawless as they actively kept us informed, answered any question we had, and coordinated everything. We arrived in Cairo at 5:30am and I already had a message letting me know that they were watching the flight and will be waiting for us outside the airport. Sure enough, as soon as we walked out we saw our guide Francis holding a sign with our name on it, he welcomed us to Cairo and we walked together to our ride for the day parked nearby. The car and driver were excellent. We found ourselves in a clean and comfortable electric car and our driver navigated us safely to Giza while our guide informed us about the history and culture we were about to experience. We were provided with cold water bottles and offered snacks or anything else we needed. We felt safe and comfortable right away. Upon reaching the pyramids we were dropped off right at the entrance, our guide provided tickets, and next thing we knew we were sitting on the great pyramid of Giza while our guide took some excellent photos for us. We walked the area while being informed of interesting facts about the formation of the pyramids and local geography, stopping for photo opportunities and having a good time doing it. Next we headed to a scenic overlook to take in the sight and get some more photos. Following that we visited the Sphinx and toured the area around it. The whole experience was perfect, just what we were wanting. Next we had a choice of getting food or checking out some local shops, we went for the shops. One stop had a demonstration of papyrus making and art available, another where you could purchase jewelry or items with customized hieroglyphics and a third with tons of fresh herbs and spices to try. They were all great stops and we never felt overly pressured to buy anything. We also got to try Turkish coffee and were offered free drinks by the hospitable and friendly shop owners. Finally we visited Cairo Museum where our knowledgeable guide, Francis, told us all about the artifacts on display and the museum itself. It was truly an amazing experience, rich in culture and history, and viewing it with our guide was the best way we could have seen it. So, honestly, I couldn’t recommend this company more. Truly perfect scores across the board. Our coordinator communicated perfectly, our driver kept us safe and comfortable, and our guide was friendly, informative, and genuinely good company to spend the day with. In the back of my mind, I was thankful multiple times through the day that I didn’t book with a bargain rate company. If you’ve read this far, you should definitely go ahead and book with them. They will take care of you!

We had an incredible trip with our guides Mike and George!! Mike worked with us for a few months prior to our trip to organize a Nile cruise and a number of private tours from Aswan to Luxor. We really appreciated their flexibility in accommodating extra tours for us at the last minute and switching up the schedule to make sure we saw everything we were interested in. We were really glad we opted to do private tours, in some places we had the entire site to ourselves, which provided a really unique and incredible experience. Mike and George were both super knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions in detail. We also really appreciated that they helped us set up car transfers once our tour ended and we left for Cairo to meet friends. We had a once-in-lifetime trip and a great experience. We highly recommend Go Luxor!!

Mike is just awesome at doing his tours!! Rest assure he will take care of everything for you and he is just a text away. I was a bit hesitant when I went to the web site and he asked to text over WhatsApp … it just made it easier to communicate. It was myself and a friend (2 ladies) and felt completely safe and cared for!!

Had a 10 day itenerary proposed to us with private driver, pickup/drop offs to and from hotel, Nile cruise up to visit temples and overall took care of all the complexities !

Fantastic guide, pretty transparent, incredible sights and all logistics handled very smoothly. Michael as a guide specifically takes great photos of couples haha... Learned so much and had an awesome time. Warning that some parts of the itinerary are not super transparent/clear at first. Wake up is at 5 am most days, and the first day of the Nile cruise is only one thing (Philae temple). That was fine with us because we were super tired, but a cruise is probably not what you want if you're looking for jam packed days. Definitely do the add-ons: Abu Simbel and hot air balloon in Luxor were amazing.
