About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- johny1981gr0 contributionsAmazing experienceJust an amazing experience. Luxor is a must to visit place for anyone who comes to Egypt. Program was more than full, and our guide Hassan was amazing! He showed us everything, the way to skip the lines, the most beautiful tombs and temples. He absolutely loves what he's doing. Don't forget to mention our driver Alam who was careful and always on timeWritten October 6, 2024
- 16jayel0 contributionsGreat experienceHassan was amazing. He's very knowledgeable about everything. Throw question to him and he can give you the answer. He didn't push us to do anything and never made us feel in hurry. The two days tour of Luxor is chill, you can have enough time to rest and still see many important scenic spots.Written October 6, 2024

- karenjT6448SV0 contributionsExperience of a lifetime! We chose a private full day trip. Our guide was an archaeologist with an extensive knowledge of Egyptology. We loved the small details that brought the past to life for us! We can truly recommend this trip which was both comfortable and rewarding. From the moment our air conditioned luxury vehicle arrived at our hotel, to the minute we were returned safely, we were treated like a king and a queen! We saw all of the most important sights ( the valley of the kings, the temple of Hatshepsut, Karnak temple and Luxor temple, and we were given the time to enjoy them. We stopped for lunch which was delicious. Everyone that we encountered were lovely and kind! We will remember our total experience for a lifetime!Written September 27, 2024
- Gabbolbee0 contributionsVery goodGood Experience exploring the most important places in luxor With driver Ammen and the Guide Khalid everything went smooth Every drink is not included and you can check 3 tombs in the valley with the ticketWritten September 19, 2024
- 596lloydc0 contributionsAmazing local tour guide and egyptologist in LuxorExcellent tour with a fantastic and incredibly nice local tour guide. Ragab has a specialised education in egyptology, so he truly does know what he's talking about, and he was great for answering questions!! Ragab also personalised our tour for us, given our particular interests (we are also archaeologists), and gave us an incredible tour round; the valley of the kings, Hatshepsut's temple, a fun alabaster shop run by family members of one of the actual people who discovered Tutankhamon's tomb (Ragab will fill you in on this story himself), the colossi of Memnon, as well as a tour of the amazing Ramses III's temple. Definitely recommended by the both of us. Lloyd and LauraWritten September 12, 2024
- 124kayleeg0 contributionsLuxor private tour + sunrise hot air balloonWe did the balloon ride and private tour of Luxor. Our driver Khalid was amazing! He was super knowledgeable and let us go about own pace. He also helped us stay away from people haggling us and gave us an all around great experience! Also, the balloon is a must do! Such a cool experienceWritten September 7, 2024

- 539johannaz0 contributionsTwo day Luxor Adventure with the best guide!During our two day trip to Luxor we saw all the monuments from the Valley of Kings, Hatchepsut Temple, the Colossus, to Karnak and the Luxor Temple and many more. We highly recommend getting a Guide for your trip as there is so much to learn about all those places. We were lucky to be guided by Hassan, truly the best Guide ever! Ask for Hassan, there is only one! His friendly character as well as his profound knowledge about history and culture made the trip a real joy. 10/10Written August 31, 2024
- Jeff R0 contributionsAmazing tour (with Abdul)!I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful this tour was—and it was all made possible by Abdul, our guide. Calling him a “guide” is really underselling it. Abdul lives and breathes Egyptian history and has been guiding for over 20 years (you don’t make it that long without being a master at your craft). He was by far the best tour guide we had in Egypt. I wish we could have taken him everywhere. Abdul speaks perfectly fluent English which allowed us to really just focus on the sites and experience. His passion, knowledge, and impressive social awareness really made our tour unforgettable. Thank you, Abdul! As for the tour, I have all good things to say as well. It was well organized, seamless, and touched on all the major (ancient) attractions in Luxor. Unequivocally, I would recommend this tour. Lunch was fantastic also!Written August 29, 2024
- Ritesh P0 contributionsGreat private guide for LuxoWe had a great day in Luxor with Hassan as our tour guide. We took a two day tour at the hottest part of the summer, and we were so interested in his expert guide knowledge that we didn't even notice the heat! Khalid was the best guide we had in our whole time in Egypt. His knowledge of the history and stories at each place we visited on this tour was truly incredible. We were able to ask as many questions as we liked and he happily answered everything. His English was perfect and he really cared about making sure we had a really great time. Nothing was rushed, and he always knew went to visit each site so that we could avoid the crowds. He took us to a great Alabaster shop but there was no pressure to buy and he was upfront about how it worked with commissions etc. I will be recommending Khalid as a guide to every single person I meet who intends to go to Luxor and visit these incredible places! Thank you Khalid!

We landed at Luxor Airport (from Cairo) at 06:30 am. Our guide Khalid Eltayeb was already waiting for us outside with the biggest smile. We still had to ''wake up'', but as soon as Khalid starting talking to us about the history of Luxor we were awake and getting more and more excited. Khalid has his Master's degree in Egyptology and is probably the most passionate guide I've ever encountered. He loves sharing his knowledge so much, it's inspiring. Needless to say, we've learned a LOT!
It always was my mom's dream trip to go to Egypt and experience the mysteries around the temples and pyramids. Unfortunately, she had an injury right before we made the trip, so we were worried we weren't going to be able to experience everything as planned. With the help of Khalid and our driver, we were able to experience everything and more! The entire trip was done in a very spacious air-conditioned van, allowing my mom to lay down during the drive. They assisted us with so much care with everything.
We started out at Karnak Temple, afterwards we went for an early lunch (because we skipped breakfast). The rooftop restaurant that Khalid brought us to (named Africa) had a perfect view over the nile. The food was amazing and the coffee was the best coffee I've had in Egypt. Then we saw the Colossi of Memnon, jumped out for pictures real quick, and afterwards went on to the Valley of the Kings, which was so much more than I ever expected!
We got to visit 3 tombs and Khalid knew exactly which tombes would have the most details to see (spoiler: It's not the Toetanchamon one). Afterwards we dropped by a local artisan place where they create the most beautiful souvenirs, lamps, etc. from alabaster stone (handmade).
Since we spent much time everywhere for pictures and shopping at the artisan place (btw Khalid knew the best picture spots!), we only had time for one more temple. We ended up at the Habu temple, which was absolutely stunning!
We couldn't have wished for more. Thank you Khalid for being so patient with us and giving us the experience of a lifetime!

I booked several activities through this company: a day trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel as well as a visit to Kom Ombo and Edfu (on the road to Luxor); a day tour to the monuments on the West Bank of Luxor and Karnak; a hot-air balloon ride over the West Bank of Luxor; and another guided visit to parts of the Theban Necropolis. The company has a network of guides and drivers as well as contacts to other service providers (e.g. the hot-air balloon companies) to make the various tours and activities possible. In general terms, this company is to be commended for its level of professionalism and dedication. The drivers were polite; the guides have different personalities and somewhat different guiding styles, and this can really make a difference in the service you receive. For each block of activities I had a different guide, and two of them, while knowledgeable, had aspects that I personally found problematic (one wanted to determine the amount of the gratuities based on the perceived luxury of the hotel, another was more personal than was appropriate and showed behavior that could be interpreted as sexual harassment). For the day tour on the West Bank I had the privilege of having Ragab as the guide. He is very passionate about what he does, and his enthusiasm for Ancient Egyptian history and for explaining it to foreign visitors is really what made that tour so enjoyable. He went out of his way to explain the monuments, patiently answered my questions about contemporary Egypt, took me for lunch, and managed to get me a ticket for a hot-air balloon ride, even though I had expressed my interest in a balloon ride rather late (given that there is high demand for that activity during the peak tourism season). The monuments were very impressive to see, and I was provided with a wealth of information, but it was Ragab’s ability to convey enthusiasm for what he does that made the tour so memorable.

Wonderful experience. Saw all the main sites in great detail. The guide was super knowledgeable and very friendly. Nothing was too much effort for him. He even helped us find a great spot for lunch and even offered to lend us money when we were having problems with ATMs. Really couldn’t have asked for a better first day in Luxor!
