- Culture375120033780 contributionsBest experienceAn Amazing Aswan & Luxor Cruise Experience with Ahmed Shawky Ali!" Our Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor was truly unforgettable, and much of that is thanks to our fantastic guide, Ahmed Shawky Ali. Ahmed joined us on this part of our journey and made every moment along the way enriching and memorable. His deep knowledge of the temples and sites we visited, like Philae Temple, Kom Ombo, Edfu, and the stunning Valley of the Kings, was truly remarkable. Ahmed brought the history of ancient Egypt to life with his engaging storytelling and fascinating insights, helping us connect with the significance of each location. Ahmed’s professionalism and warm personality stood out throughout the trip. He was always patient, attentive to our needs, and willing to answer every question we had. His ability to explain complex historical details in an engaging and easy-to-understand way made the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you’re planning a cruise in Egypt, having Ahmed as your guide will elevate the journey into an unforgettable adventure. Thank you, Ahmed, for making our Aswan and Luxor experience one we’ll cherish forever!Written January 3, 2025
- 249gauravg0 contributionsPoor operator, last minute changesVery poor service from Noor Egypt tours Tour was canceled at the last minute. We were given an option to take a tour without Abu Simbel which is pointless as we had already booked early morning flights to AswanWritten December 25, 2024
- H8976TBmattc0 contributionsGreat way to see EgyptAmazing trip, saw so many sights over the four days, and got to see many of the smaller temples as well. Highlights included the balloon ride over the West Bank and touring some of the temples by moonlight in the evening. Would 100% recommend our tour guide Talaat Abdo, he had a huge amount of knowledge of all the sites and of ancient Egypt and was really entertaining, especially on the early starts!Written October 19, 2024
- NaimaR140 contributionsTalaat guide TourMy experience in Egypt wouldn’t have been the same without our incredible guide Talaat. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and ensured everything went smoothly. His deep knowledge of Egypt’s history, culture, and ancient sites brought the pyramids, temples, and tombs to life in ways we couldn’t imagine. What really stood out was his passion—every story about the Pharaohs, ancient gods, and the mysteries of the Nile felt like a journey back in time. We felt safe and comfortable throughout, which made the trip even more enjoyable. having a knowledgeable and friendly guide makes all the difference. - Derrick H0 contributionsAhmed Shawky Ali gem of EgyptLed by our lovely guide Ahmed Shawky Ali Definitely an experience of a lifetime We had spent a lot of time researching which cruise to go on, and it was important for us to have a great Egyptologist. We thought that the guide's job was only to show us the attractions, but Ahmed Shawky Ali went further than this and looked after the whole group well. It was also great that he kept the group size to a manageable amount. He also helped with the logistics of transfer, travel, and cruise itinerary. He is very structured and informative and uses WhatsApp to help plan the day for everyone. He is a very genuine guy and a breath of fresh air when it came to visiting this country. I really wish him the best in his work and personal life with his family. We will be forever grateful for his time and efforts, which made our trip so rich.Written September 26, 2024
- Flyer244440543490 contributionsGreat trip go for itAhmed Shawky Ali was our guide who was very knowledgeable and honest with us which I appreciated especially with navigating Egypt as a tourist - down to buying items and avoiding scams. If you are considering this trip I would recommend. Early starts most mornings which meant waking up at 3-4am to see sights in good time and to avoid the heat but also time to relax also. He was clear and communicative. We enjoyed our trip as well as a chance to do a Nubian tour. He arranged buying tickets and tipping for us, also transfer at the end of the trip. WhatsApp message group with rest of the tour was helpful, also enjoyed interacting with the rest of the group who were similar age. i enjoyed this part of our holiday to Egypt the most.Written September 26, 2024

Was picked up at the airport 20 mins after we had collected our baggage as they were picking up other guests elsewhere but I had to contact to find this out. I would have preferred to have paid all entrance fees in advance as it was annoying to get out money for every stop. High damn wasn’t worth it in my opinion but wasn’t given an option to say no. Philae was nice. Room was nice but there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom which didn’t have any ventilation(cruise ship was called Palace). Factor in extra money for tipping (everyone).
There are shops onboard and the rooftop was amazing by the pool (can get very windy). Shops onboard seemed to have good prices. Abu simbel is very far away but worth it. Food was delicious except for the last night when there were less people, there were less options. Morning omelette station was my favourite. Packed breakfast for abu simbel wasn’t great so bring your own snacks. Our towels were folded into animals which we LOVED! Kom ombo and Luxor temple was good at sunset. 3 tombs included in valley of the kings, extra charge for some like Tutankhamen. Loved the hot air balloon ride. Hatshepsut temple was stunning but mostly restored.
Our guide Talaat Abdo messaged us the day before and was friendly and had good communication. Very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and helped us with things like finding ATMS and getting the best price from the locals.
I would have preferred visual aids and handouts to help learn and more information presented in the car rather than standing out in the sun. Our guide never offered to take our photo and he’d usually say take photos at the end of his speech but that was annoying because by that time the crowds would come and we’d be hot and have short time to explore. He’d didn’t let us introduce ourselves to the group when we started but we sat together at the dining hall and became great friends.
A lot was packed into 3 days but it was a great experience overall and would recommend.

Getting on the Luxor-Aswan river cruise is really the best way to cover all the attractions along the Niles river! With this tour package, we were greeted by the tour driver with our name on a sign board at the airport and took us straight to the cruise ship to check in! Easy breezy!
On the cruise ship the tour guide met up with us to explain the itinerary for the next few days. Our tour guide - Muhamad Sultan was a great guide! He’s knowledgeable of Egyptology, local customs and recommendations for good foods and drinks. He is very detail oriented and great with reminding us of all the itinerary, keep us on time and even arrange for our wake up calls! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip!
The lunch and dinner food options were great with the best meal on the last night of the trip featuring local Egyption cuisine.
The booking experience was easy, but the tour operator didn’t reach out until few days before the trip to confirm on the tour. In our case, we thought the tour start from Aswsn per the trip description, but it turned out to be the reverse. We had to make some last minute flight changes to accommodate that. My advise is for anyone who book the tour wait until they get confirmation before making their flight arrangements.
All and all, this is an excellent package! Highly recommended!

Overall the trip was great. Saw many sights, and our tour guide Bee was fantastic. He was easy to understand, got to the point, and had some great stories. The only less than great things was having to get up at 4am or earlier every day, the boat was moving extremely slowly and we got stuck in line for the lock for hours which made us cram way too much into the last day. I guess more communication and a bit sooner than we received it would have been good. They also should have prepaid all the entrance fees and charged us up front because trying to get tickets was a hassle for every stop. Overall very happy! I would never have been able to do this much on my own.

We were 3 friends traveling together in Egypt and our impression is that overall cruise experience was okay, but *we have the following comments*:
**Positive Points:**
Guide Knowledge:
Talaat Abdo *seemed to have* a good understanding of the temples' history and provided informative explanations.
Tips Package:
Talaat handled all tips for $17, which was convenient given the frequent tipping requests in Egypt. *The cruise crew and the drivers were very helpful and we received no requests for extra tips.*
**Areas for Improvement:**
Guide Behavior and Attitude:
Talaat often made inappropriate *touching and sexist jokes and comments*, and seemed impatient with questions from the group
He sometimes blamed the group for the tour's itinerary *(which is exclusively determined by the tour company, we just bought the package offered)* and fatigue, which was unprofessional.
Also, he made or suggested alterations to the original agenda of the tour, without proper clarification to the group and without mentioning that he was changing it. For exemple: he tried to take us to all the other activities of the 4th day in sequence, without returning to the cruise, to finish the schedule ahead of schedule (as a consequence, we would have to check out at 4 am and eat breakfast from lunchboxes instead of eating on the cruise and check out at 8am.) When my friends and I mentioned that we preferred to keep the schedule, he tried to convince the rest of the group in the opposite way, to create a dispute to support what he was trying to change. Having not succeeded, he seemed upset, he was not with us during the hot air baloon tour, and haven’t walked us to the Valley of the Kings after that while other groups have their guide with them.
Finally, he tried to convince us to give him a feedback online while he was standing in front of us (which we declined), which was very unprofessional and unethical.
**Overall Impression:**
The cruise was good and allow us to see most of the temples around the Nilo river, our group was very friendly but Talaat's behavior significantly detracted from the experience. Professionalism and respect were lacking, and I would not recommend this tour without significant improvements of his behavior .

Bee (Bishoy) was very knowledgeable and helpful. He really made history come alive and related it to modern day culture. The cruise ship was comfortable, rooms clean and food was good. Due to activities, all mornings were very early. We missed some activities on the next to last day due to congestion at Esna lock, not the fault of the tour. So the last day was busy trying to fit everything in. We also feel it was an inefficient use of time collecting money when stopping to get entrance tickets at each location,. Collecting the entrance money at the beginning of the day would’ve sped things up, in our opinion. Egypt is a wonderful place to visit and this option is a great way to see so many historical sites.

Unforgettable experience for our honeymoon. The perfect low budget cruise option. Yes the boat is old and it took a day for them to fix our hot water in the shower but the food was fabulous, the crew helpful and our guide Mohamed did his best to ensure every detail was taken care of.
We would have liked more time to understand the temples, tombs, statues, hieroglyphs and background information to help us make sense of the what we were seeing. That part was a bit rushed and too much like a series of statistics rather than painting the picture in more of a storytelling way. But that kind of storytelling is perhaps more for a personal tour so we can’t expect that level of detail when our guide has to look after the whole group.
We really loved being in a group and meeting people from around the world.
We didn’t go on every temple excursion and sometimes just enjoyed staying in our cabin and watching the Nile pass by.
Tips were a total of USD25 per person in total for the 4 days. Which I felt was reasonable. Of course in Egypt every person who lifts up your suitcase, drives you, says hello to you expects a tip, so just ignore all that.
Thank you Mohamed for taking good care of us.

An excellent tour. So well organised - right from the start Mohamed was super helpful with my booking of the tour and any questions I had, and the ground crew were just fantastic. Our guide Sultan was so knowledgeable and took care of us at all times. I don’t usually like taking tours as I cannot stand the big groups and limited time at each place but I am so glad I opted to take a tour with Noor Tour! The itinerary was perfect and there was a great balance between guided tours and free time to explore each place, and I especially liked that we were placed into smaller groups (we were a group of 7). I will be recommending Noor tour to friends and family.

Our 4-day Nile Cruise was simply amazing. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely worth the time and money and then some. Breakdown below:
Pros:
The locations we visited were absolutely breathtaking. You haven’t seen Egypt until you visit Luxor, Abu Simbel, Aswan, etc. I won’t bore you with details because it would take too long. It was all outstanding.
The hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise was an unforgettable experience. This should be a bucket list item for everyone. Would love to do it again.
Our tour guide, Bishoy (Bee), was incredible. His knowledge, enthusiasm and love for Egypt’s history and culture was contagious. I can not praise Bishoy enough; simply outstanding.
The boat’s staff were friendly and very attentive. Every need was met.
Cons:
There was a lot of miscommunication with the travel agency (Noor Egypt Tour) about our pickup and transport. We were stranded at the airport for a couple of hours, however, Bishoy helped us solve the issue and got us to the boat. The travel agency dropped the ball here.
The food on the boat wasn’t great. Many of the entree dishes were bland with the meats and chicken typically overcooked. The salads, side dishes and deserts were good and we never went hungry.
Conclusion:
At the end of the day the cons did not matter much (we did not come here for the buffet). The trip itself was simply just that great. Highest marks to Bishoy for providing an excellent experience.

Firstly our guide Bishoy (Bee) was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable, a gifted articulator of the numerous sites you see and a boss man keeping the show moving. The boat you end up on isn't likely to be what's pictured, but probably the most budget thing you'll see on the Nile. That said, whilst dated it is very comfortable. The lounge, dining and bedrooms are all fine. Meals are adequate but repetitive. You'll have to pay for all drinks but they're fairly reasonably priced given the monopoly. The staff are generally very nice. The schedule is fairly hectic though. There are really only two afternoons where you're sailing down the Nile enjoying the scenery. A very pleasant experience though. Most mornings are 5am wake up calls before boarding buses and seeing the sites. I personally bailed on the Abu Simbel tour because it entailed approx 8 hours driving for 1.5 hours outside the bus (a small mini van). By day 4 you'll probably get Temple fatigue. I learned in my time in Egypt that the Nile cruise is probably the least stressful way to see Southern Egypt though. You've got a sanctuary away from the chaos. Most things are organised for you although patience and flexibility is occasionally required. Attempting to see all the sites any other way would be perilous and exhausting. If you want a bit more luxury though, you might want to upgrade the boat.

The price paid was actually very good for the activities provided. The entrance fees to the temple are not included in the price but that is understandable as the boat is full board and air conditioned transport was provided (pick-up and drop off; and 3-hour drive to Abu Simbel and back). The guide provided was professional and very knowledgeable.
There was a misunderstanding about the entry fees not included and Entrance fees included. This just means that the guide will take you the temples but you will need to buy tickets yourself. The most expensive tickets were the ones for Abu Simbel temple and the Valley of Kings (3 tombs): EGP 240 which is about USD 15. The other tickets ranged from EGP 140 (USD8.95 ) to EGP 200 (USD12.79)

Hello Mohammad. Yes, after your cruise, you can tell your tour guide that you will be departing luxor via the airport. The last day of the tour ends around 2:30 pm or thereabouts. We booked a flight 8pm flight from luxor to cairo. Pls take note that flights are always delayed (or so I was told). We actually arrived in Cairo at 12 midnight! Some of our cruisemates booked earlier flights departing luxor at 5:30 & 7pm. I hope this helps.

Hi: are drinks included or not ?
Do you serve alcoholic beverages or not ?
If not included what should I expect to pay if so do you take credit cards or only cash ?

Hello, I booked this trip but nobody is answering. I have one or two questions.
First of all, I hope it's not cancelled because of Covid.
Second, I booked by myself, so I hope I will be alone in the cabin. Can someone tell me more about it ?
Best,
