The service is fantastic and very flexible. We've spent 2 days with Mohamed, and he was super efficient, knowledgeable, and understanding. He reads the room and knows his audience. Our driver Zakria did a great job too. So, if someone's reading this and thinking to themselves, "damn, I've been around the block, I could do this on my own!", let me tell ya: rather take the tour (and if you decide to do so, look no further). You'll save a bunch of time and hard earned cash. It's worth it -- take it from someone who's normally a very independent traveler. But Cairo is just, ummm, different.

What a great expérience and much thanks to the Over Egypt team. The trip was perfectly coordinated and exposed us to the rich history of Egypt and today's current landscape. Over Egypt's réputation is well-earned because of the level of professionalism and knowledge they have in executibg a first class tour. Our stay was organized but flexible enough to allow us to enjoy each location and site without feeling rushed in any way. We experienced Christmas in January during our trip but the large crowds did not negatively impact our trip. During our stay across five different cities we had multiple drivers and guides but the level of service remained a first class expérience throughout our stay. We had an amazing first trip to Egypt, thanks to Samir who curated a brilliant tour of the best sites in Cairo and Luxor. The trip was great from start to finish thanks to airport and hotel pick ups and drop offs. Samir had excellent recommendations and made us feel very welcome. The two guides we had Mohamed (Cairo) and Nivina (Luxor) were knowledgeable, highly professional and very friendly. We would definitely suggest requesting Mohamed who was outstanding and seemed overqualified. Our day visiting the pyramids was a highlight and we learned so much. This is without a doubt the best way to experience Egypt! It was stress free and we felt like we had a very authentic experience. My brother and I had the best time and would definitely come back to experience more of what this country has to offer :)

Mo coordinated with us via Whatsapp a night prior and arrived a few minutes earlier to wait for us on the day of the tour. We were able to see everything we planned all thanks to Mo's careful planning. Trying to get in / out of Giza pyramid area on a Friday in 2 hours is pretty ambitious but we did it. We were able to squeeze in a quick camel ride as well. We learned so much about the history, culture and people during this trip. Mo was patient and he got us in a couple of special places in Dashur (via Egyptian handshake) we would have otherwise missed if we were on our own. We appreciate his unique insight and his charming ways of delivering each cultural lesson. We thought we knew until we traveled south of Cairo with Mo, we were humbled by this experience. I have been to 75+ countries and tend to have moderated expectations in developing countries. Our tour with Samir and his team was one of the best tour experiences I've ever had *anywhere*. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were whisked quickly through immigration with a pre-purchased visa on arrival. We were treated like royalty every day throughout our trip. For our days in Cairo and Alexandria, we had Mohamed as our tour guide who was *absolutely phenomenal*. He's probably the best tour guide I've ever had anywhere in the world: extremely personable & friendly, deeply knowledgable about all aspects of Egyptian history, and a command of English that I have never seen in someone who has never lived in an English-speaking country. He knew all the tricks to give us a fantastic experience in Egypt. We spent a few days in Aswan and Luxor, and there had guides Peter & Bessem who were also excellent, with an extremely thorough understanding of history. We felt well taken care of all over, and were largely insulated from the hassles & touts Egypt is infamous for (for this reason I *highly* recommend that you book a private tour). On returning to Cairo, the owner of the company (Samir) personally picked us up from the airport (despite it being late at night on a weekend) and took us to dinner at a very local grilled meats restaurant with incredible food. Samir is deeply passionate about what he does and treats all of his guests like royalty. You can really sense his passion for Egypt and showing foreigners the highlights of his country - he's not out to make a quick buck. Also special shout-out to Milad, who picked us up from the airport originally and made us feel comfortable right away. He was also our driver on our last day, with Mohamed as our guide, and it was a perfect send-off to spend time with both of these fantastic gentlemen. If you're evaluating different tour companies for Egypt (as I was once was), just stop: book with Over Egypt Tours and I guarantee you will not regret it. I say this as someone who has done dozens of these and has fairly high standards. My expectations were vastly exceeded, and I look forward to recommending Over Egypt Tours to my friends interested in coming to Egypt.
