About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- maryelleng5130 contributionsWonderful Lake CruiseWe LOVED our time on the lake cruise. We got to see so many places not many tourists get to and learned so much about the temples and how they were saved when the dam was built. We had a great guide who was very knowledgeable and kind. The food! Oh my goodness the food on this ship was fantastic. The pastry chef was so great we could have eaten dessert for every meal and each snack. Given the time we were there, the boat was very quiet. There were only about 8 of us tourists on board!Written July 1, 2024
- tracybT29DW0 contributionsEnjoy a Cruise on the MinervaThe Nile River cruise on the Minerva was an excellent experience from start to finish. Sailing was always smooth and easy during the day or night. We didn’t even know we were moving. The boat and our room was clean and comfortable. The personnel were always friendly and helpful. We had access to the manager who made us feel welcome. The food on the cruise was fresh and always tasty. The kitchen staff attended to our needs. The chef was kind enough to prepare us some french fries one day even though they were not on the menu. Our waiter, Mahmoud, was very attentive at every meal. Whether he was pulling our chairs out or clearing dishes, he was always kind and polite. He treated us like royalty. The pool on the sun deck was quite refreshing on a 114 degree day while we sailed from one city to another. There were plenty of chairs available for sunning or tables and chairs in the shade to enjoy a beverage and take in the views. We highly recommend sailing with the Steigenberger Minerva.Written June 24, 2024
- nara5010 contributionsA luxury cruiseThe boat was lovely and the room/cabin luxurious. The Nile view from the room as well as the top, open deck was memorable. Food was plenty and full of variety, even for vegetarians. A few things I would have liked to see that were missing - a game room where one could sit and spend time and, most importantly, some sort of a workout area with a treadmill, etc.Written March 7, 2024
- aelkhadem0 contributionsAswan - Abu Simbel cruiseThe Mövenpick Prince Abbas ship sailing between Aswan and Abu Simbel is one of only two ships currently in operation on Lake Nasser. The accommodations, cuisine are simply marvelous, but above all the cruise ship staff are simply amazing catering to everybody's needs with a big smile. The only disadvantage I personally encountered was having to climb up and down allot of stairs between the different decks making us extremely uncomfortable and exhausted. Should the ship manage to install 1 or more elevators surely the Prince Abbas would be the best choice for those cruising Lake Nasser. - Rodrigo M0 contributionsCruise in the NileProbably the best way to visit Answan and Luxor, the cruise take you in different stops. The cabins are ok, very clean. The staff is very attentive and food and drinks are good. The swimming pool in the upper deck is great for refreshing after a day tour. Egypt in HOT, but totally worth it.Written September 26, 2022
- Palaeoich0 contributionsAswan half day tourGuide Hussam’s expert knowledge of Egyptian history ensured that we appreciated the recent and not so recent history of the creation, disfigurement and resurrection of temple of Phillae. Shor boat trip was also enjoyable.Written September 21, 2022
- dangK149QW0 contributionsNubian Prince from Chicago sails from Aswan to Luxor. My favorite part of the trip was the Ultra courteous staff. From the check in to all the staff in sailor uniforms they were 1st class. Relaxing in the top deck while the boat glided up the Nile was quite the experience made my 50th Birthday so memorable. To top that off the tours that were offered were top notch. I had a private tour of the Valley of Kings that included a very informed staff. Thank you so much and I hope to return for a longer cruise.Written July 21, 2022
