About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- NydaM0 contributionsAn amazing experience with first class service! This was one of the best organized trips I have taken. Mohamed and his company took care of us from when we landed (my friend and I landed separately and were greeted even before immigration). Everything was organized to perfection and worked very, very smoothly: from hotel rooms to tours to domestic flights to scheduling that allowed us plenty of down time and free time to explore the wonderful historical places. We had a great time with our guides: Dahlia in Cairo and Ahmed Salama from Luxor to Aswan (accompanied us on the Nile cruise), who were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and kind, and gave the best recommendations to avoid crowds, where to buy good quality souvenirs, and what to try on our down time. Even when our domestic flight from Aswan to Cairo was delayed, Mohamed and his team made sure we were taken care of, and treated to lunch and coffee. Mohamed (and his team) were always available to answer our question. I would highly recommed this trip and the company to anyone traveling to Egypt. Have already recommended it to a bunch of friends :)Written September 1, 2024

- tiffanyfK8016AT0 contributionsThe Magic of EgyptI have been traveling extensively for the last 24 years, and I can say hands down Egypt Unlimited is the best travel group I have ever experienced. We were met with a smile at 1:30 in the morning. Our guide seamlessly got us through customs and security. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were given a room, and did not have to wait for checkin. I arrived three days before my group, and Dr. Mohamed coordinated guides to take me to the other sites I was interested in that didn’t fit into the group schedule. We had the most amazing knowledgeable guide, Mr. Mohamed. He was passionate about imparting the history of Egypt to us. He answered every question I had, and believe me there were a LOT! On our Nile cruise and remainder of our time in Cairo he was able to get us significantly upgraded accommodations. Our meals were magnificent and truly reflected the best of Egyptian dishes. There was not one highlight of the trip, because I felt that I had a 1000 amazing moments each day. I also felt extremely safe, no matter where we were. If you are looking for a one in a lifetime, please intrust yourself to Egypt unlimited.Written July 30, 2024

They conducted our large group tour (16 people) from beginning to end, having thought out every detail from airport pickups, transfers, hotel details, meal arrangements, and more. We were privileged to see some of the great sites of Egypt as well as some hidden gems. I have never felt more safe traveling. Dr. Mohamed Mostafa and his team provided us with every kind of security and safety measure as well as with excellent and extremely knowledgeable guides, such as Mohammed Badawy.. The love they share for their country and its history is unmatched and you’ll wish your time in Egypt would never end.Written July 26, 2024
- Beatowngirl0 contributionsProfessional, safe and incredible experience! My experience with Egypt Unlimited Tours was one of the most professional, safe and seamless I have had with previous travel over to years to 28+ different countries. Our tour guide/Egyptologist Mr. Mohamed was both able to give overview of different sites and the Egyptian history (spanning 4000+ years), and answer questions from members of the tour accurately, honestly and indepth. We had the opportunity to also meet throughout the tour the owner Mohamed Mostafa - who was both professional, thoughtful and interactive with trip participants. They both made sure that not only did we flow through the itinerary nearly always on time, but they took the various needs of all participants into the plan, including various dietary allergies and restrictions (ex celiac/Gluten free & vegetarian). This experience was so much more than I expected it to be and that was most largely due to Egypt Unlimited, and I would highly recommend them!!Written July 25, 2024

This has to be one of the best trips that we have ever done.
We were so incredibly lucky to have Mohamed as our private guide (we booked a group tour but we’re the only English on the trip). Mohamed is a PhD qualified Egyptologist who not only has the academic background to fully explain the history of the sites visited but he genuinely lives and breathes Egyptology. He is a natural story teller who brings the history to life giving you not only the historical facts but context linking this to other sites/periods.
We visited Aswan (Temple of Philae, the unfinished obelisk and the High Dam) and have an extra excursion to a Nubian village which included an opportunity to cool down by swimming in the Nile (definitely something I never thought I would do). We had an early morning start the next day to Abu Simbel which went without a hitch (our drivers were fantastic and all very careful and experienced). Abu Simbel was amazing and definitely worth the early morning start (there is a mid point coffee stop to stretch your legs and take photos of the amazing desert mirages. The mini bus was like new, air conditioned and very comfortable).
Following our trip to Abu Simbel we cruised up to Kom Ombo and had an early evening tour before dinner back on the ship and an overnight cruise to Edfu. After an early morning visit to the Temple of Horus we spent the day cruising up the Nile to Luxor. The ship may need sprucing up as the decor is outdated but the rooms were comfortable, the food more than adequate and the staff very pleasant. The addition of a pool on the top deck was fabulous after a day in the sun touring sites.
In Luxor we visited Luxor Temple in the evening followed by a packed morning of the Valley of the Kings (including the chance to go inside 3 of the opened tombs, the colours were amazing and it is hard to believe that they have survived so many 1000s of years), Hepshepsut’s mortuary temple and the Temple of Karnak (where he proudly showed (and translated) for us the 2 walls which the subject for his Masters degree).
At all stages Mohamed was able to easily talk us through what we were seeing linking this to the history of the relevant Pharoah/historical period. He has a very calm and easy style. He never lectured and we never felt that he was going through the motions in an uninterested style. He wanted to impart his love of the subject which he certainly did. We spent some lovely meals with him and he was very easy to talk to about a variety of topics of both ancient and modern Egypt.
Overall the trip was well organised and thank you to Mohamed in the Aswan office for his help with everything pre departure.

My friends and I (3 total) purchased the 4 days/3 nights cruise in Nilo from Aswan to Luxor as most of the places we wanted to visit in Egypt are located in this region. The cruise and its team made the experience even better! We chose the Tour Group option in Portuguese, but we were expecting to have a English guide. Instead, Amro, our guide, spoke perfect Portuguese and is one of the best guide we have ever been with. He followed the exact schedule you see when purchasing the cruise, always on time, and explains everything you need know and all questions you might have. However, he does not make the visiting tiring over-explaning things and he is very funny. He was one of the highlights of our trip.
The accommodations in the cruise were better than we were expecting, everything very clean and in order. Bathroom with tub and two showers, which comes handy for the trips early in the morning to leave on time. The views were amazing in our cabin during the trip.

I booked this trip very last minute and I’m so glad I did. From beginning to end, everything went smoothly with zero issues. Mohamed was waiting for me at the airport & was warm and welcoming.
Ahmed, the tour guide, is so knowledgeable, kind & helpful. Anything I needed, he would provide. He quickly organized additional excursions I wanted and private transportation to my next location at the end of the cruise. The private tour allowed for me to move at my own pace, have all my questions answered and gain deeper knowledge of all the sites than I probably would have received in a group setting. And also a personal photographer, as Ahmed was always eager to take pictures for me. I really appreciated his efforts to make me feel comfortable and taken care of.
This company made my first solo traveling experience smooth and stress-free and I highly recommend them!

Overall great tour. All transfers went smoothly. Our guide Mostafa was great. Besides knowing and explaining the history of the sites we visited he also new how to maneuver around the crowds so we could get great photos and have a more private tour. The cruise boat it self was very comfortable, food was bountiful.
Egypt Unlimited tours was great at responding to emails and flexible when we needed to make changes. They also honored the prices they quoted us for a couple tours that had price increases after we booked them.
Even after the tour had ended they were helpful getting some paperwork for us from the cruise.
I would not hesitate to book with this company - top notch

Habibi tours came up in my search when I was planning my holiday trip to Egypt I emailed them on the Nile cruise and Amer replied very fast with details of all the questions I had asked, I wasn't sure of dates I wanted to do the cruise and kept changing back and forth and in all that Amer was very patient and when I eventually settled on the dates, the confirmation was sent as soon as I had made the payments. The customer service and responsiveness of Amer is top notch. He came to pick me from the Hotel for the train station with driver and brought me snacks for the journey, this was unexpected but much appreciated. The driver was courteous, helped me board the train and on the return day, he was there on time to pick me, and helped me check in my hotel. (I had changed hotels), important to note is Amer also helped me get free early check in at the hotel (6am). The associates in Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor were equally pleasant. The only challenge I had was they do not have an online payment option, the western union or bank transfer was a bit inconveniencing for me. Overall, I'd recommend them any time

If you found this page, please STOP looking anywhere else!! You have found the gold mine of Egypt travel help in Mohamed with Egypt Tours Unlimited!
We are two world traveling women from the States, We have been many places and have arranged a lot of travel. Egypt was daunting just in the amount of places to visit and the ways it can be done. Once we found Mohamed, literally EVERYTHING fell into place! He arranged our Nile cruise (within our very tight timeline), added Abu Simbel for us with flights and tour guides and full private transfers always. Our guides were exceptional both for their knowledge and for their ease of being with people and letting you discover on your own as well as take their helpful knowledge. All of our in-country flights were arranged by Egypt Tours Unlimited, including escorts in the airports, which seems unnecessary until you see firsthand what is involved in Egypt. We visited Cairo with all the sites, Abu Simbel, all the sites on the Nile cruise, and then hit the Red Sea-- with help from Mohamed at every destination! Even unplanned excursions like Mt. Sinai were seamlessly accomplished by Mohamed on short notice which, in retrospect, seeing what was involved, is astounding. Call Mohamed and just take your mind off everything for your trip to Egypt except packing your bag!

The cruise: The boat was well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable. The shower was good. The staff were very friendly. All rooms had windows above the bed which had a sea view and opened up to smell the ocean (though I would've like a mini balcony). Bar fridge is available in the rooms and they have a good and affordable laundry service. The food was excellent for buffet food (roast beef was moist and tender, not doused in sauce to hide dryness). Desserts looked pretty but were average. Cruise was well timed so that there were times to chill on the deck in the morning, during sunset, and in the evening while the boat was moving. Just to note that drinks (incl soft drinks) are not included, and are EGP 50 for a coke. So buying from suprettes at the docks (EGP 10) is advised if you want to save some cash. There is enough food, however, to not require snacks.
Touring: The tours to the temples are well timed so that, as much as possible, it is not during busy periods. I appreciated that some tours are at night, as some temples look beautiful at night with the lighting. There also aren't too many tours each day so you are not fatigued. Our tour guide, Amro, was excellent. He was very knowledgable and could answer all our questions. He made the disembarking and entrance to the points of interest very smooth. He also took us to a quiet area of the temples first, to discuss the layout and what we're going to see before going into the noisier parts to show us the interesting statues or writings, and even then, it was not busy, and it wasn't like we had to strain listen to him over 5 other tour guides. We appreciated that very much and it made our historical journey through Egypt that much more pleasant.
Just to note that the trip to Abu Simbel complex is very early in the morning, and so you have to wake up at 3am if you plan on adding it to your tour (at an additional charge). We were not that dedicated to going, and rather used the time to rest our brains a bit before the next set of tours.

This tour package was my favorite of all the things we did while in Egypt. It was well facilitated and they even accommodated our additional needs (i.e. covid testing for departure.) Our guide Ahmed was awesome! Very knowledgeable, informative and easy going. Our organizer Mohamed was very helpful throughout the booking process and kept in touch throughout. Everything on the itinerary was laid out and transitioned well so there were no surprises on what to expect. It was above and beyond my expectations when comparing to other tours we did while in Egypt. I definitely recommend Egypt unlimited for booking all of your tours. We added the Abu Simbel tour onto our cruise and it was well worth it, my favorite temple on the itinerary. The cruise itself was a nice change of pace and very similar to American style cruising with very clean and spacious cabins and a great buffet and bar with spirits.

Our Nile cruise with private tours of the ancient Egyptian world have given us amazing, unforgettable memories thanks to a well organised, flexible and friendly operation from Egypt Unlimited.
Our tour guide Amr Al Shakairy was equal parts knowledgeable, friendly and accomodating every step of the way and he played a large part in allowing us to enjoy the full experience knowing that he had every aspect taken care of. The enthusiasm and deep understanding of the ancient Egyptian mythos made every stop interesting and we particularly loved his story telling ability (with props) and genuine desire for us to ask questions all the way through. Amr even went above and beyond in booking us a incredible sunrise hot air balloon ride after we'd disembarked. If you get Amr as a tour guide, you are in for a treat.
The ship itself was old fashioned in the perfect way adding to the ambiance of the cruise but was clean and well maintained. The staff were super friendly and the planned evening entertainment was something to behold. :)
All in all I would say that this is a unmissable experience and I would 100% recommend this company and tour guide to any and all!

We had the absolute best time during our trip with guide Sayed. He made us feel safe en comfortable, all whilst telling us the most wonderful stories belonging to the tombs and temples we visited. He told his stories with so much passion and enthusiasm (and funny jokes), it was so very easy to stay enchanted by everything we saw. The itinerary is at some points a little bit intense, but Sayed made sure we got enthusiastic about everything we saw. Also he could answer any and all questions we asked him. He made sure we got ‘VIP treatment’ everywhere we went and had cars waiting for us to quickly get from one location to the other. He even made sure our transfer after the tour (which we already booked with a different organisation) went smoothly as he contacted the driver to coordinate our pick up.
I can not recommend this tour enough, all thanks to our amazing tourguide Sayed. Would rate him with 10 stars if possible. Be sure to ask for him when booking, because you will absolutely not regret it.

- As this is a private tour, will I have a private tour guide for each different activity, or is the is it one private tour for all guests on the cruise (rather than a public tour).
- What boat will we be on for the cruise starting on Friday 13th September 2024?
- How much is the optional hot air balloon?
- Is there any luggage restrictions?
- Are all rooms air conditioned?
Thank you so much!

Yes, you will have a private tour guide.
For all other questions you need to ask the tour agent

Bonjour,

Hello what time can I get off the ship ? I need to be out early I have an event at midday in the Hatshepsut temple
Written January 19, 2023
We had early morning tours every day and were off the ship by 6:00am. Our experience was that the boat traveled at night once but was docked early enough to get off by that time. The other travel day was during the day and we docked in Luxor around 6:00pm

The boats are just logistics providers. Each tour operator will work with a different boat or series of boats. You can check when you book. I can't even remember the name of the boat we went on but talking to other tourists on other boats, they all seemed to have a good standard of food, accommodation etc.

Muchas gracias.

Do the rooms have air conditioning? Can I book 1 room for myself and 1 for the other person. Is there an upcharge? Do I have to get up at 6 and start touring or can I start when I want?

Hello interested in booking 4D/3N starting in Aswan to Luxor the private tour for April 19 2023. Couple questions. Will it be possible to do the sunrise balloons the morning we arrive back to Luxor and still disembark? Or do we need to stay an additional night at a hotel in Luxor to do the sunrise balloon the next morning? Also, we are hoping to hire a private driver to transport us to Hurghada after the cruise/balloons. Is this possible? Thank you in advance!

My experience with Egypt Unlimited Tours is that they will work around you as best they can. You need to ask them but my guess is that if the balloon excursion would not finish before you needed to disembark the boat, they would keep your luggage with one of their drivers. As they are such a small company, you will probably have a tour guide and a driver to yourselves. The boat is just a logistics vehicle to get you up the Nile. They pick you up at each point and arrange the "meat" of your tour. Hope this helps
