As per requested time will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which is around 3hrs drive to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Spend around 3 hours there then take the way back to Aswan.

The experience was unique. What made it challenging was the pick up from the hotel to the airport and upon landing trying to identify who was going to pick me up. Even though this was the most difficult part of the trip I enjoyed my tour with Basma the tour guide who was able to show me different sites in Aswan with the time we had to execute the day. I recommend that you remember the name of the company as they may use the Company sign to try and locate you.

We were punctually picked up at 04:30 am by our super guide Walid. On the way to Abu Simbel he made a special stop to see the sunrise in the Sahara and even took pictures from us. Then he provided snacks and water for the rest of the trip… once we arrived we were delighted by his deep knowledge of Egypt and made us understand the details of the temple. We can only recommend Emo Tours and specially Walid, who always has a big smile in his face.

We had very good time visiting Abu Simbel. Our guide Walid Maadawy was great. Beside explaining us history about the temples he told us also many things about Aswan city, nubian village, Aswan high dam... We definitely recommend him.

Even though it was a lot of driving for so few hours on the site I would definitely recommend visiting Abu Simbel as a day trip only because there is basically nothing else to do in the area. Makbola was our guide and we found her to be pleasant, very organized and professional. She has done this for along time and was able to anticipate most of our questions. She shared a lot of of information about Egypt in general that was not related to Abu Simbel in particular which contributed to our greater understanding of the country. We did not feel at all rushed which we very appreciated as we tend to take to take more time studying sites than average tourists.

My fiancé and I booked the private day tour to Abu Simbel. I wish I knew how to spell my guide and driver's names as they were both FANTASTIC. They were on time, professional, kind, and knowledgable. To avoid crowds, I recommend starting the tour from Aswan between 0700 and 0730, which will have you arrive at 1000-1030. We were the only people at the temples when we arrived, and, at most, there was only one other couple in a temple with us at a time. It was a fantastic experience, and our guide gave us a great explanation of the site's history, answering all of my questions. Our driver was also amazing and even gave me 50 EGP to use the bathroom at the place we stopped. Very nice. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Your pickup coordination was pathetic. Prior to leaving the us we received an email advising us we would be picked up at our hotel lobby at 6 am. They also asked for passport numbers which we provided. The day before departure they again asked for passport numbers which we again provided. This was by text and phone. At 545am on the day of the tour we were waiting in the lobby. At 615 I began texting and emailing the contract numbers from the day before. Finally at 645 someone advised the pickup was in a different location. We finally made it there and started our tour an hour late. Trip advisor must provide firm contact numbers for the actual guide nlt 24 hours prior to the tour so details can be confirmed. Once on the tour we found the driver and car to be 5 out of 5 and the guide 4 of 5.

It was a comfortable ride but a disappointing guide. His explanations took less than 15 minutes, so probably a guide is not needed after all. He asked us to tip at the end and we were unhappy about it. Remember, a tip is a BONUS for quality service above the FEE we PAID for the service.

We arranged the trip to Abu Simbel in private car including a Spanish guide and entrance to the temple for my daughter, my wife and me. Simply perfect:
      i) Tayso the sales man was continously in contact to organize the trip since we arranged the trip at the very beginning until the end by whatssap. He was very patient, very quick in replying my queries and always trying to help.
ii) The van for the three of us was before the agreed time (4.30am) already waiting for us. The van was very clean and new and was only for the 3 of us, as agreed.
iii) Drivers (2) were very kind and diligent: on the way to the temple one driver was sleeping while the other was driving and they changed the roles on the way back (safer).
iv) Omnia, the Spanish guide: She made the difference. She speaks Spanish very well and knows everything about the temple. She was giving los of details before, during and after the visit to the temple. We had also time to talk about the normal life in Egypt and share life experiences from different points of view. Thanks Omnia!!!

      Definetely we recommend Emo tours

I have never spent a better 7 hours in a car! Worth every second to see the temples!

We couldn’t get a flight and opted for a private car. We had some trepidations but they were dispelled quickly: first, our guide Achmed Eid was excellent. From picking us up to dropping us off, everything went extremely smoothly.

He made every effort to make us comfortable to and from Abu Simbel. Rest stops with excellent bathrooms that he paid the entrance fee for. Offering us beverages, suggesting the air conditioning should be turned on, taking our pictures at interesting stops and much more. Couldn’t have been more pleased.

The seven hours to and fro were very interesting and went by quickly. We had two drivers and they were excellent! The car was very comfortable, too.

Now to the temples at Abu Simbel: First, be sure you see the movie of the dismantling of the temples and reconstruction on the new site. We saw it on our cruise ship but it is also shown at the visitors center. phenomenal!!!

Second: Be prepared for the enormity of the statues and the amazingly realistic (not to mention gorgeous) wall carvings.

Worth every penny and second we spent traveling!

Emad was an incredible guide - so knowledgeable, informative, and helpful. On one day we saw the Temple of Philae and on the next day we went to Abu Simbel as well as Kom Ombo and Edfu temples. They were magnificent and Emad spent so much time painstakingly explaining everything to me and telling me the stories behind the breathtaking paintings and carvings. I had the best 2 days in Aswan thanks to Emad :)
