Egypt will be much more colorful with them!
I definitely recommend this itinerary! If you are first time in Egypt, you would never regret to be with Explore Plus! From the moment of reservation, Salah helped me in every way so my trip could be arranged thoroughly. From the arrival and to the departure, including all the transports, I felt very safe within every moment even I was solo female traveler! You will be guided and leaded with somebody in every moment, so you can be safe enough. Of course the additional tour was very expensive, but if you are in group, it would be reasonable because it would be private tour with your own guide. All the guides were professional and had lots of knowledge through all Egyptian history. TBH, I didn't expected much within this vacation to Egypt, but Egypt became the best country among the 52 countries that I have been! It is all because of the detailed and abundant explanations and descriptions of the guide. I learned a lot and was very impressed in every moment! They were also flexible, and adaptive to my schedule and situation. It felt very comfortable in everything with them. It is your turn to experience Egypt, believe me, Egypt will be much more colorful with them!

          Most Amazing Botswana Safari!
Just has a wonderful Botswana safari experience thanks to eXplore Plus! We cannot thank them enough: their service was first class, and the choice of lodges, and order of visit, was just perfect. We stayed at three different lodges, and each one was different, but all were fabulous in all respects. I would particularly like to mention the care and attention paid to our dietary requirements – vegetarian and gluten free. The kitchens even made special gluten free bread, muffins and cakes. Also, we left a hat at Savuti and mentioned this at our next stop (Xakanaxa), and the staff followed up and organised for it to be sent on. It was waiting for us at the hotel in Maun – duly washed and packaged. This was really kind and caring - beyond expectations! A wonderful holiday from start to finish!

All the major sights and some obscure ones in one trip
I don't normally do tour packages but Egypt has a lot of sights spread out all over and internal travel can be fussy. This tour company is one of the few to offer El Minya, and that drew me to it (always wanted to see Ahkenaten's intended tomb). The package is flexible and has optional bonus tours, many of which I did. In each area (Cairo, Minya, Upper Egypt) you get a different guide and all of mine were great, particularly my Upper Egypt guide. You can add additional days in Cairo at start or end which is good because most of the add-on activities are up there. The best add-ons that I did were Alexandria, Dashur, Abu Simbel and Philae). Extra days and add-ons for me was about $1000 USD extra, but I did most of the ones they offered and had four extra nights. The vast array of sights I got to see, spanning 5000 years of history, was totally worth it. If you are looking to see LOTS of Egypt but feel intimidated by planning it yourself, this is an excellent way to do it. Strong recommend!

Egypt, our Dream more than twenty years
We (mine – husband – two daughters) are enjoying the tour with Explore Plus, Our Cairo guide was Mo Sobhi another guide join us all sailing cruise for 4 days besides 2 nights in the Luxor land hotel. All were very good leading the tour during our trip to Egypt, therefore I recommend Salah. I enjoy his tour and he was very patient very fast responded with clear information. Everything went on schedule and we didn’t have any delays, We are especially happy with our Nile Cruise guide Rocky as all called him. He was very informative, polite, and considerate. The only thing is that we could have been informed more about extra tours we could have made during our free time. I realized after my arrival back in Istanbul that I could have seen more especially in Cairo. Definitely recommend. if you want to visit Egypt choose the tour company explore plus and ask for these guides... Sorry I forgot to thank the driver Kaled or Khaled he accompanies us all tour even he join us in Luxor and Hurghada

          An amazing experience
We had a great experience in Egypt with our guides Mohammed in Cairo, and Rocky (Ragab) in Aswan and Luxor. Both were very knowledgeable in ancient Egyptian history, and modern culture. They spoke great English and answered any questions we had. I would definitely recommend them, along with Explore Plus to anyone interested in seeing the real Egypt.

          What an experience!!
Had an absolute great time, saw so many amazing sites, and had experiences we won’t forget. From initial correspondence everything was professional- with very quick communication via WhatsApp and email. Everything was taken care of without any issues. Our vacation was planned out perfectly with a personal guide and driver—had no Concerns. Guides were great, full of information not only about ancient Egypt and modern Egypt. They give you the best recommendations on extra side trips, where to eat, customs of the area etc Drivers were professional, on time, and safe. Lodging was nice and meals were more than enough to satisfy most people Highly recommend this tour company and this tour. Five stars.

          Mo Sobhy
If you want the best in tour guides ask for Mo Sobhy. His enthusiasm for the history of Egypt was infectious. He brought the past alive with every explanation. He was always open to questions and ready to change the venue at a moments notice. Also his English was very good and understandable. Mo truly brought out the best of our tours. We highly recommend Mo Sobhy.

Good at omitting things and push you to write a good review
Upsides: -the WhatsApp contact was available every time we needed it -there was always someone to pick up you at the airport -the guides are people who know about the topic Downsides: -on behalf of the agency, we have been pushed to write a good review in this website in front of one member of the staff (which, as you can see, we have rejected) -all the excursions are in a rush (you could only expect to spend a couple of minutes in those gorgeous places to "take a picture" as if that were the only thing that matters) -read carefully what is included!!! Some of the most important sight-seeings are not included (like Abu Simbel, Karnak and Luxor temples) -when it says "tipping is not included" it translates as neither your driver nor the guide are properly paid (even though the excursions are pretty expensive). They will be completely pissed off (and they could also apply pressure on you) if each person doesn't give at least a couple of dollars per attraction to each of them. THIS IS NOT THEIR FAULT!! IT SEEMS THEIR CUT IS RIDICULOUSLY SMALL COMPARED TO THE BENEFIT THE AGENCY GETS!! -we were exhausted of trying to be persuaded of booking as many activities as they could fit in our schedule (they made us feel we were not allowed to say no) -even when there was never time enough to enjoy the attraction we were at, they would always find a gap to set you in a shop for a demonstration of either parfum, stones, whatever... in order to press you for buying stuff It's a country in which many people are in need. We would have preferred to spend much more money in tipping if we wouldn't have been robbed by the prices of the agency as we feel we have been.

Great discovery of Egypt and a cruise on a souless boat
My wife and I had a fascinating time discovering Egypt. The tour company was great, professional with outstanding knowledgeable guides. Sadly the boat for the cruise was tired, desperately needing re-paint and without a soul, lacking attention to detail and so many things needing to be fixed, eg: it took me four tries before I could find a sunlounger that was not broken. Still, we had a great time, thanks to our knowledgeable tour guide Antoun (Tony) and the magic of Ancient Egypt. We highly recommend this tour operator but make sure that you don't sail on The Nile Dolphin. The other irritating point was the constant request for the expected large tips for the daily drivers, tour guides and anyone else we had to deal with... a constant pain. The highlight of our trip was the Hot Air Balloon ride in Luxor...sensational and memorable!

I chose this operatior Explore Plus then communicated with Mr. salah or saleh, He was so friendly response within minutes explore what I always asked him.
Salah sir or Explore provided us with extremely knowledgeable and professional tour guides. We had a personalized tour & learned much more than expected about ancient Egypt.
Their guide & driver provided a comfortable vehicle. It was a flexible schedule we changed as our adrenalin order us hehehehehehe so they adapted easily to changes during the day.

Our teenaged kids loved the tour guide and found Egyptian history to be a lot of fun.

Guide first day advised us how will pay for every minute tipping, we prepared small current with us, little poor but nice people always smile.
Thank you history you let us enjoy with Egyptian Pharaohs

I went with my 85 year old dad, who’d always dreamed of visiting Egypt. The whole experience was incredible, had no idea you could cram so much into such a short space of time. We even saw a lot more than we were expecting!
Every part of the trip was planned meticulously and attention to detail was 2nd to none, from being greeted at the airport, help through customs, money exchange and even SIM card, to looking after us every step of the way.
Our guide Refaye, was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He made sure we were at the right place at the right time, without being pushy. He was also very patient when a problem arose and made sure it was all smoothed out.
The transportation was very good and the food on the cruise was varied and delicious, even well catered for me (vegan)
Obviously the sites were the highlight, but the help from Refaye meant it was all easy going and he kept the many hawkers away from us.
This was definately a holiday of a lifetime, and Explore plus holidays made it a trip we’ll never forget. And fantastic value for money. I have already recommended this trip to my friends
I hope all the people who looked after us are well and copying through this awful time.

I went with ODYNOVO on a 10 night private tour guided trip of Egypt. 4 nights on board the Sonesta ST. George river boat, amazing staff shout out to Mina the barman, excellent food and fantastic trip. We went from Luxor to ASwan visiting all the temples and valleys of the kings and Queens. A once in a life time trip. Our guide for this part of the trip was Mohammad Saeed, a great guide, full of knowledge.
We went to Cairo for 4 nights and stayed in the kimpinski nile hotel, beautiful 5* hotel. Our guide in Cairo was Mostafa Salah, a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable, took us everywhere . I highly recommend this trip

He was so patient never rushed. Rockey also arranged a covid test for us which was very convenient. The test was taken in the cruise ship and we didn’t have to go to the hospital.
We highly recommend Explore Plus Holidays with our guide Rockey.

        What an amazing tour !
We had such a wonderful week in Egypt and what made it so great was our tour guide, his name Mohamed but we called him Mo like Salah. All time with big smile he greeted us. We felt so welcomed.
He was so knowledgeable, so helpful and kind !
We explored lot of Egypt, the pyramids, the Sphinx, beautiful perfumes and oils, and papyrus.
Thanks for such a great two Cairo days!
Highly recommended - best tour guide and tour company!

We had the best tour guide ever!
(Mo Sobhi). He was amazing. Very upbeat, knowledgeable and welcoming.
He made me and my husband so happy and safe were well taken care of during the tour.
He was so patient even when we were taking much longer than expected at the monuments. Best parts of this tour was Karnak temple and Abu Simbel, honestly 1. The pyramids/camel ride.
We fly to ship was amazing and clean, they – mean explore plus – chose new ship sailing from Luxor to Aswan, very polite staff.

Private 7-Night Cairo, Aswan, and Nile Cruise

We went on this tour in September. This tour includes hotel stays, 2 one way airfare ,cruise on the Nile and transportation.
I had researched many tours and this tour had gotten very
good reviews. One of the reviews explained in some detail what to expect which was very helpful.
Day 1: The tour started out with a greeter(Antonias) at the airport who was there to assist if you had to purchase an Egyptian visa. He explained he was there to take us to the hotel. In this tour when we were on the land part of the tour there was always a very good driver. This greeter(Antonias) said we would be meeting the tour guide at the hotel (Hilton Ramses) in Cairo and he would explain the rest of the tours and extras. He got us our room . We were asked to wait for the next person ;we met was Mohammed Sob Hy who explained all the extra tours and their costs:
The breakdown of the tour costs are:
        Cairo:
        Islamic & Coptic Tour: $65/pp
        Sakkara &Memphis tour. $69/pp
        Dinner cruise show $39/pp
        Sound& LIght show +dinner: $49/pp
        Alexandria: $109.
Walking Al Moez Street +dinner: $40 pp
        Sma’an Cave and church : $40/pp
        Egyptian Museum:
        Luxor:
        Karnak & Luxor tour: $69/pp
        Hot air balloon$139/pp
        Aswan:
        Philae temple with boat: $55/pp
        Abu Simbel: $139/pp
        Nubian Village $39/pp
Total cost for us $875.00, not including all entrance fees to the monuments.
Tipping is extra for the tour guide, driver(s), cruise personnel, etc.
One good thing about the Hilton Ramses it had ATMs and a bank that was open 22 hours/ day. You would be able to change large Egyptian pounds to smaller amounts which
you will be able to use when on tour.
Day 2-3: Pyramids and Cairo tours: Visit to the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, The Great Sphinx, visit to Egyptian Museum(entrance fee extra)
We added Sakkara and Memphis Tour: entrance fee extra:
The first day: we we met Mohammed ( who was excellent guide): we had a driver who drove us to the pyramids.
We paid an entrance fee to go inside the pyramids which
was climbing through some narrow wooden stairway to the top of the pyramid. Other people were also climbing at the same time. There was a stairway to go out the pyramid.
From there, photo ops outside the pyramid and onto the camel ride a short distance .$10/pp USD to ride the camel a short distance and take photos. There is a longer camel tour.
That same day we drove to Sakkara and Memphis Tour.
Entrance fee extra( bring Egyptian money). This brought us to another site with pyramids. The best part of this tour was the lunch at Sakkara touristic village restaurant. We had a delicious lunch with freshly baked pitas, hummus , and several dipping sauces, vegetables, grilled meats, chicken,
        fresh fruit. Delicious mango drinks.
At some point he took us to a papyrus store where they demonstrated how papyrus is made into paper. There were numerous paintings that you could buy.
At night we had the Sound and & Light Show + dinner.
I would have skipped this. (It was recommended by another reviewer). Sound and Light show was disappointing and the dinner was a buffet dinner, food was mediocre.
Day 3: Cairo: Our guide Mohammed said he had another couple to escort. So we had another guide and driver who took us to the Egyptian Museum. Entrance fee extra.(9am) This guide was not as personable as Mohammed, but she was knowledgeable about the museum. We saw the museum very quickly with this guide. The museum was interesting and would have liked to have spent more time, but this guide was in a hurry. The second part of the tour included Coptic tour.
We saw one church , again hurriedly. The last thing we went to was a place that sold different oils. We had to sit through
the shopkeeper’s explanation of the oils. (This seems like one of the many stops that this tour will take you on.)
We were back at our hotel by 1-2pm. Breakfast is always included when you’re at the hotel, but lunch and dinner are not included.
We had planned to take a walking tour of the markets( Walking Al Moez St + dinner): This included another
quick tour of several streets and barely had time to take photos. Dinner was a fast food Egyptian diner.Tour guide was pleasant, but spent more time on his phone than with us.
Day 4: Flight to Aswan/High Dam ( B, L, D).We had an early 1 hour flight to Aswan. In Aswan another guide : Mahmoud.
Again with a driver. The driver took us to Aswan/High Dam.
This was pretty boring. You see one dam, you’ve seen it all.
Since we didn’t have anything planned after the dam. He suggested going to an oil tour(which we already had done),
Or carpet factory, papyrus factory. We asked him to go to the spice store. Again the storekeeper went in depth explaining all the different spices, coffees.
The driver took us to the cruise ship. “Crown Emperor”. The cruise ships all look alike and there were numerous ships that were docked. Lunch and dinner were buffet and food was not bad. We had the same table assigned throughout the cruise and staff to assist us.The tour guide stayed on the cruise ship also.
The guide asked us if we would like any tours and we added the Nubian Village tour. He asked that we pay cash for this tour even though all the previous tours were by credit card. The ride on the small boat was worth it to see the Nile up close and the scenery. The Nubian Village was not as interesting as we had thought it might be.
Day 5: Sailed to Kom Ombo, Edfu. Again entrance fees to these sites Abu Simpel temple and Neferititi Temple.. Abu Simpel was worth it, but the 3 1/2 hour car ride was tedious. We had to leave at 3:30am and received a “ breakfast box” since we wouldn’t be having breakfast on the ship. Abu Simpel was worth it, but the 3hr 40 min hour car ride was tedious. One bathroom break; 5 Egyptian pounds/pp to use restroom at a gas station.
Day 6: Edfu/ sailing to Luxor, ( B, L, D) .The meals were all at set times and usually 1 -1 1/2 hr length. We had purchased the tour for Karnak and Luxor tour. Entrance fee 150 EGP/pp
Day 7: Luxor sightseeing: disembark: visited the West Bank,
Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahri and the two Colossi of Memnon.Entrance fee: 100 EGP. This was the highlight of the tour. The Valley of the Kings and the tombs were fantastic! The hiergyloglyphics were colorful and wonderful.
        Entrance fee: 200 EGP.
After we returned to the tour we returned to the ship and
The tour guide said we could wait 4 hours inside the ship until our flight to Cairo. He said he found us a room where we
could rest until our flight, but this was not until 2 -3 hrs had passed. The room had no fresh towels, or soap.
The tour guide Mahmoud was knowledgeable and had worked at some of excavations sites in Egyptian, our many complaints about him was we felt rushed, not listened to,
we felt we were always being scammed by him. I asked to use an ATM because I was running out of Egyptian money. He gave us a hard time about finding a bank ATM(which( requested), but he did find one. Example:
We had lunch and told him we would be paying for lunch and we would share with him since he didn’t want to order lunch. We asked for the bill and he said “ I already paid it and you can reimburse me with US dollars.”
I asked him what amount of tipping for the cruise personnel, the driver and for him. He said , “ Fifty dollars/ day for him and 200 Egyptian pounds /day for the driver, and 10-20 USD/per person per day for the ship. He wanted his tip in USD which seemed excessive.
The tour guide asked for an evaluation from us and we gave him 3.5 out of 5. The drivers were all excellent.
Afternoon Flight from Luxor to Cairo was business class on Egyptian Air.
When we arrived at Cairo Airport, Antonias ( previous greeter) was there to greet us and drive us to the final hotel.
The final hotel was Le Passage in Cairo. This hotel had several restaurants to choose from, but it our stay there was just okay. I would not say this was a 4 or 5 star hotel. The transportation to the airport the next day was by airport shuttle driver.
Prior to this tour, I emailed the company: “ Explore Plus Holidays” to get a breakdown of all the side trips and the cost. They were vague in answering these questions.
Overall , the tour is transportation to the sites, hotels in 3 star,
not 4 star hotels. Two one way flights from Cairo to Aswan, and Luxor to Cairo, tour guides.
We would recommend taking a tour and not attempt to navigate Egypt by yourself. It is too difficult negotiating your way around Cairo and to all the different sites. This tour did accomplish this, but at a greater price due to all the side tours.

The sites and tours were sensational and we can not complain about any of them except maybe for the constant tipping. Bit of a pain in having to shell out for entrance fees and a suggestion may ne to include in price of tour and adjust price as required. The optional tours we selected after arrival were negotiated with entrance fees included. Our itinerary was for superior accomodation and the Cairo hotel boasted a mini bar and pool view. we had a view of a dirty back ally and no minibar and single beds - very disappointing. When I asked about it i was told that it's pure luck which room you get. We were met inside the airport and taken through immigration to our guide who only wanted to tell us about the tipping. He dumped us next day and gave us to another guide to finish of Cairo. We flew to Luxor for the cruise and our new guide Mohammed who was with us for the few days. He was pretty good - very knowledgeable. Luxor and Aswan are nice towns (as against Cairo which is very dirty and slummy) and the places are amazing. Very early starts due to the heat so be prepared to get up early. Especially for Abu Simbel which is a 3am start but well worth it. The meals on the cruise were great and the staff very accomodating. Mohammed advised us how to tip the crew. 40 Egyptian pounds per day person in an envelope and give it at the end of the cruise. We got back to Cairo and had a nice room at a hotel near the airport but our icluded private transport to the airport turned into getting told to "catch the hotel shuttle" Nice tour but very disappointing in details
