Recently, my husband and I recently booked an unforgettable trip to Egypt. I am pleased to say that this trip exceeded all our expectations, and I could not be more excited to share my feedback. Hisham Shaaban, owner of Hisham Tours provides us the opportunity to travel to many cities in Egypt and organized everything for us. We did not have to deal with securing visas, transportation, booking hotels, meals, or attractions. The vibrant city of Cairo is steeped in rich history and bustling energy, captured my heart from the moment I arrived. We stayed at the View Delta Hotel located in the heart of Cairo. Our room was comfortable and included a balcony with a beautiful view of the pyramids. My husband and I were extremely impressed with the hotel personnel from the manager to the restaurant waitstaff were helpful and accommodating. On the day we left, we took pictures with everyone, I received a bracelet as a goodbye gift. I was touched by this generosity – my heartfelt thanks to Yousef and Mahmood who treated my husband and me like family. Our tour of Egypt consisted of discovering the highlights of many cities. In Alexandria, our tour guide, Youssef was an amazing storyteller with so much knowledge of the beautiful historical sites Alexandria has to offer. We saw the Catacombs, Qaitbay Citadel, and the Great Library of Alexandria. In Memphis and Sakkara, we saw the statutes of Ramses II, walked inside a pyramid, and explore a tomb. In Giza, we met Mohammed who guided us through the desert to see the great pyramids and take pictures by the famous Sphinx. Oh, did I mention we did this while riding a camel. Mohammed instructed us on how to get on and off our camel. Mohammed was a great guide with a good heart. He was patient as I worked hard to get on Casanova, my camel. The heat was beating down on us but eventually we completed our expedition through the desert – it was breathtaking and surreal. I still cannot believe I rode a camel in the desert. Next on our itinerary, we boarded a plane to Luxor and stayed at the Steigenberger Nile Palace. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were treated to exceptional service and warm hospitality. The rooms were elegantly designed, offering comfort and a stunning view of the atrium. The staff went beyond to ensure our needs were met, making me feel like a VIP for our overnight stay. Exploring the temples of Luxor and Karnak was an emotional experience. I was captivated by the breathtaking landscapes that unfolded before my eyes. The timeless beauty of the temples of Luxor, Karnak, and Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Kings, and the Memnon statutes left me speechless. Each location was expertly guided, providing a wealth of historical and cultural insights that deepened my appreciation for Egypt's ancient past. As a bonus, Hisham Tours provided a non-tour guide representative named Mohammed-Luxor who made our assimilation into Luxor easy. Mohammed’s job would be equivalent to a concierge who oversees your stay in Luxor. I met another traveler with a different tour group who lamented how chaotic airports and traveling within the country had been for his group. Because Mohammed-Luxor managed this leg of our trip, busy airports, transporting us from one historical site to another made the tour stress-free. What truly set this fantastic trip apart was our tour guides. Our guides were professional, knowledgeable, and oh-so friendly, Youssef in Alexandria and Mr. Adel in Luxor. Their passion for Egypt's history was evident as they expertly narrated each site, offering fascinating stories and intriguing facts. Their knowledge was second to none. We learned so much and loved every single second of it, despite the incredibly blistering hot weather. Their willingness to address questions or concerns enhanced my overall experience. We were able to discuss the historical sites with the guides anytime we wanted to. The tourist sites were not too crowded in July, which allowed us the opportunities to take a plethora of photos and observe the beauty of Egypt. Every day we were surprised and delighted with the extra activities that were added, like shopping at Sekhmet Factory for alabaster, or visiting Golden Eagle Crystal Perfume Shop as Mr. Moses delights your senses or stopping in at Golden Eagle Papyrus to observe a papyrus making demonstration or purchasing a beautiful piece of jewelry crafted by Hassam, owner of Topaz Bazaar. Or you may enjoy purchasing an authentic Egyptian gown and robe from Cotton Flower. My sincere thanks to Adham Sayed for making my shopping experience fun and to Shimaa for the quick turnaround on the alternations. Each vendor we visited offered us a beverage, and we were always treated with kindness, courtesy and offered a fair and reasonable price. I wish I could have bought more. Due to the current situation in Israel, we thought about canceling the trip. Family and friends coupled with warnings from the State Department also urged us to reconsider our travel plans to Egypt. But after messengering with Hisham and contemplating his honest take on the local situation and assurances convinced us to proceed. As soon as we landed in Cairo, all our doubts and fears for our safety melted away. We found Egypt to be very safe – in fact, I would say that Egypt is much safer than most U.S. cities. Keep in mind that tipping the tour guides and driver is customary so factor this into your budget along with paying for things such as toilet paper and paper towels in the bathrooms. To avoid the uncomfortable bathroom situation, I recommend you bring your own tissue packs and hand sanitizer! Our trip to Egypt was an absolute dream come true. From the iconic landmarks of Cairo to the serene beauty of the Karanak temples, every aspect of this journey exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this trip to adventurers and history enthusiasts who wish to immerse themselves in the wonders of Egypt. It is an experience that will leave an indelible mark on your heart and mind. We enjoyed the tour, and it was absolutely worth the price of the package. We cannot speak more highly of our tour guides who became more like friends to us during our brief time together. I would be remiss if I did not mention and send a special thank you to Eslam, our driver. This man is a wizard behind the wheel. He navigated the chaotic streets of Cairo like Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious movies. Thank you Eslam, you are the BEST!! Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. We made friends in Egypt whom we will stay in touch with for life! SO PLEASE BOOK NOW! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Kudos to Hisham…job well done. Thank you for making our tour of Egypt memorable. Pros: Communication with Hisham was 100% excellent. Always responded on time. From the time I arrived, to the to the time I left Egypt I knew I could count on a response via WhatsApp. He took care of everything, from arrival to departure. The tour guide assigned to me took nice pictures of me for my time in Cairo. The driver was very nice and on time (even early) for any trips/transfers. Cons: I still think you should book if Hisham is your guide, he has great reviews. I am taking away one star because last minute (2 days before) I found out Hisham was not going to be my tour guide. That was okay and I expected a 5 star guide to replace him. Unfortunately I was disappointed , and the there was room for improvement from the assigned tour guide. I have traveled over 25 countries solo, so I know a quality tour guide when I see one. This guide was not up to my expectations. I went to Luxor/Aswan with another guide from another company and it was a completely different experience(5 star). Also my suggestion is the car driver should have water available, and AC on all the time. Sometimes the AC was turned off. Thank you for a wonderful time. Egypt is wonderful and safe, do not hesitate to travel to this beautiful country.

We were a group of 4 females traveling alone to Egypt. Hisham and his team provided a great level of service. Nasser our driver was professional and made us feel very comfortable and safe during our travels in Egypt. Hisham was very responsive to our questions before and during our trip. In a week we explored Cairo, Luxor, the Red Sea and multiple desert locations in addition to a phenomenal true camping experience. We all had VIP service from the initial airport pick to our airport drop off and felt safe during the entire duration of our trip. I will return to Egypt and without a doubt book again with Hisham!

This was by far my most favorite trip to date thanks to Hisham and his team. My friends and I all had a list of different activities that we wanted to do during our trip & conflicting arrival/departure dates & Hisham made sure that our vacation went seamless & that we got to experience all of what Egypt has to offer. Hisham was attentive from the very first message that I sent him asking about the tours & he communicated with me through the entire planning to make sure that my group got exactly what we wanted. We got a lot more than we expected! The service level provided from the moment of the airport pick up, to the drop off was top notch. He's extremely knowledgeable and very easy to talk to that by the end of the trip, we all considered him to be our fun uncle. If there was anything that we needed during our trip, we just sent a message to Hisham & it was provided. If we needed to make changes to our itinerary, he made it happen for us. We felt very safe as a group of women during our entire trip. You can really tell that Hisham truly cares about his clients. Everyone on his team made us feel like family making this truly a memorable trip for us. I will 100% be back to explore more areas of Egypt that I did not get to see on this trip & will bring more friends along with me as well. Thanks so much Hisham & team! Booked a tour with Hisham to celebrate my birthday with 7 of my closest friends and family. Hisham was amazing to work with! He made sure all the details were perfect for our trip and made us feel safe the whole time we were in Egypt! Our driver Achmed deserves a special shout out for making sure we arrived at all of our destinations safely. We had an unforgettable trip and 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to travel to Egypt. We felt safe the entire time we were there and never once felt unsafe. A few months ago I starting planning our Egypt trip with a tour guide mentioned on this AA Non-Rev page a few times. I reached out to him and got a quote. Seemed very high to me, especially traveling to a country that I thought would be much cheaper. I asked him about a few different options and all were way higher than what I could book on Viator separately for the tour. I mentioned my findings to him and he insisted that he was one of the top 10 tour guides in Egypt and he offered a PRIVATE comfortable deluxe van and would make our trip a “dream vacation!” Side note, the Viator tours that I was looking at were all private and had 5 star reviews. The most important thing to me was that he had prior experiences with airline employee standby travel and that he was flexible for airport pickup and we didnt have to pay until we got there. So I went ahead and agreed on the $1835 dollars for a two day tour of Cairo for 5 people. He sent me an itinerary and without doing any research on it myself, it sounded fine. Part of the reason why you hire a tour guide is for knowledge and you not having to do any planning. We arrived late and he was there for us. All was good but during the 45 minute ride to the hotel he asked us what we wanted to do for the day trip the next morning. I thought we’d follow the same itinerary but we arrived to our hotel at 1am so he was catering to our sleep schedule. We mentioned a few ideas but settled on going to the pyramids and getting that out of the way since we were staying at the beautiful Marriott Mena House right by the pyramids. We never had a set time for us to start our tour. He just said after we eat breakfast at our hotel, we’d begin our trip. We agreed on a 9am start time. This part is where it starts going south. He sent his driver to get us first at our hotel and then we picked him up next in his local town of Giza. He took us shopping first because we wanted to buy scarfs for our pictures. He was fully aware we could buy our $1-3 dollar scarfs at the pyramid itself (we didn’t know that until we got to the pyramids) but he ended up taking us to a specific store, not a shopping area at a bazzar or market place, but this random store. I thought that was fishy since he decided the store. I immediately assumed it was a commission store. That didn’t turn me away because im fine with people making an extra dollar. I just don’t want to be completely taken advantage of, especially since we’re Americans. Anyways, we shop. The kids were picking out things and asking how much everything was….we quickly find out it’s WAY overpriced. The store attendant kept saying he’d make us a deal at the end. Let me be clear, this was our first stop and hardly knew the Egyptian pounds into US dollar yet either. We ended up buying 3 scarfs, two metal trinkets, a t-shirt and a small clay pyramid. The man asked us for 3500 Egyptian pounds which is a roughly 140 in US dollars. I was like, “oh heck no!” I wouldn’t even pay this in the states. Then I have my teenage kids saying they’d pay me back, let’s just get it. I also had my husband asking if we’re putting it all back? We didn’t know just how bad we were getting ripped off until we got to the pyramids to find out the $15 scarf I bought was $2 there. Our tour guide hardly entered the store to even help us in this transaction. He went and got coffee. I’m trying to make this short as possible. Once we knew that we were totally ripped off, we asked our tour guide to take us back to the store to get a refund. He was happy to do that for us. Everything we were refunded we got the 2 days later at the market place for $32 usd. We didn’t follow our itinerary that day and didn’t do anything else but the pyramids, camel ride and the sphinx.  He didn’t even take us to the other two pyramids in the area. Everything seemed cut short from the shopping trip and having to refund it. Later that night at 2am I get a Facebook message that he twisted his ankle and need an X-ray the next morning. He said he was sending a new tour guide and same driver. I was of course sympathetic but sad our trip wasn’t working out as planned, especially for $1835usd! I gave him two options. Send just a driver and we’d do it ourselves and discount the overall price OR cancel and I’d pay him half for the 1st. $917 for one day at the pyramids is 3 times overpriced for 5 people but again, that’s what I said I’d pay so I did. He sent his driver and agreed on $125 for just the driver but we had to pay extra for all the entrance fees. My trip was nothing like planned in our itinerary. It was very much cut short, changed a lot, ended up doing it on our own the 2nd day, etc. Our final price was $1385 but charged a little more to use our CC. I’m writing this post to say this….I was extremely over charged for our trip. Everything that I ended up getting on Viator could have been $600 and we paid $1385, could you imagine if I had to pay the $1835…so him spraining an ankle work in our favor. Just a heads up that just because someone recommends someone on this site doesn’t mean you’ll have the same experience. His name is Ahmed Mido. If you do use him, be very stern with him and what you can get from other private companies online. He is a very nice guy, was fair when we encounter the problem and how to work out the following day without him. I also felt safe and secure with him. Just felt extremely ripped off, and that makes for a bad experience. That’s all.

I had a simply amazing time with our guide Hisham. He showed us so many exciting explorations. I only wish I had another week to explore more of if you ever have an opportunity to go to Cairo Egypt the best advice I could give you is to invest in a tour from this marvelous company.

We came to Cairo as a church family and bonded even more with our guide Hisham and Asmaa. They meet our every need and desire.

If you’re looking for the real deal, no nonsense tour guide book with Hisham. 5 stars is not enough in my opinion. We only had a few days in Egypt and the tours he set up was beyond amazing. From the moment we arrived at the airport he had someone meet us at customs to help guide us through passport control directly to a car service to take us to his brand new absolutely gorgeous hotel with some of the most spectacular views I have ever seen. Him and his staff catered to our every need / request. He knew we only had a few days in Egypt and made sure we saw the most important things. I left my dream trip only wanting to comeback and explore and see more and that’s 100% because of Hisham and his staff. Thank you Hisham for your friendship because that’s exactly what it is.

I asked them to plan entire activities and ground transportation privately during my stay in Egypt, including Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. They were very patient and helpful, so I was able to create schedule as I like with decent price. And even I was on the trip, they were attentively contacting me to make sure everything is ok and if I’m enjoying. They are very responsible & reliable and I was happy to choose them.

This experience was amazing due mostly in part to Hisham and his staff. They were all very attentive and they go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and safe throughout your stay. I recommend this package for any first time visitor to Egypt. You will love it just as my wife and I did.

Had the most amazing trip to Egypt thanks to my tour guide Hisham and his company. He created an individualized 11 day trip to Egypt that included private transfers, hotel, domestic flights, breakfast/lunch, entrance fees to all sites and activities. Hisham had the best communication with me from the start, he answered all of my questions prior to my arrival and during my trip expeditiously and efficiently. I did to tours with Muhammad on two separate days. I not only got all the historical information, but was also treated like a celebrity. He pushed through the crowd like a bodyguard protecting the president so we could get where we needed to go. He was funny and ensured all my questions were answered. I had a great experience that has now created lifetime memories.
