          Aswan to Luxor Nile cruise
Me and my friend had Sultan as our tour guide from Aswan to Luxor on the Nile cruise. Sultan gave us the option to decide how informative we wanted the 4 day tour to be so he tailored the experience to suit us. He has a PhD so has an exceptional level of knowledge which was clear, he was also very engaging so made this experience easy to enjoy and leave feeling that we had learned a lot. All round great guy and easy to get along with! He took us to some of the best places and gave us good advice throughout helping us to decide which other tours to do and where to eat etc. He took great care in ensuring we were happy and safe. He is clearly well respected amongst other tour guides and the industry. The tour included all of the classic places you want to see e.g the temples, tombs, valley of the kings etc. Also included some more niche experiences like visiting the spice market and a place where we tested and experienced perfume/essential oils. We went to see the Nubian village as well which I would recommend. Would 1000% recommend Memphis Tours but especially Sultan who made our experience seamless and unforgettable. Thanks Sultan!

          Fantastic tour
We did the Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor. The tour was lovely with lots of interesting temple visits included in the tour. We added the optional extra of the Nubian village, which we would definitely recommend. Our tour guide Sultan was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable and took great care of us during our trip!

          Unforgettable Journey to Egypt
Our trip to Egypt with Mamphis Tours was absolutely unforgettable, thanks to the impeccable planning and guidance of our amazing tour guide, Sayed Selim. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and Sayed’s knowledge and passion for Egypt’s history truly brought the experience to life. The Nile cruise was a highlight of our trip, offering breathtaking views and a relaxing way to explore the region. We visited incredible sites in Luxor and Aswan, each more stunning than the last. Stops in Kom Ombo and Edfu allowed us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of ancient temples, and the balloon ride over Luxor was simply magical—watching the sun rise over the Valley of the Kings is a memory we’ll treasure forever. Sayed was not just a guide but a storyteller, making every site we visited come alive with fascinating details and insights. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, informed, and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. If you’re planning a trip to Egypt, I highly recommend Mamphis Tours and especially Sayed Selim. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all our expectations!

Our Perfect Journey from Aswan to Luxor with a Nile Cruise
In December 2024, we had the privilege of visiting Egypt, and it was an unforgettable experience! We chose a Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, with stops in Kom Ombo and Edfu – and it turned out to be the perfect decision. One of the absolute highlights was the breathtaking hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise. The view of the vast landscape, ancient monuments, and the Nile from above was simply magical. A moment we will cherish forever! Our tour guide, Sayed Salim, was a true professional and made our trip even more extraordinary. His impressive knowledge of Egyptian history, culture, and mythology was matched only by his passion and humor. Whether we were exploring the temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu or the remarkable sights in Luxor, he ensured that we enjoyed every moment and always felt well taken care of. We highly recommend this journey to anyone wanting to explore Egypt. A big thank you to Sayed Salim and the entire team for this wonderful experience. It’s a trip we will remember forever!

          Ancient Egyptian History Masterclass
During our trip to Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Luxor, we felt like we traveled back in time 5000 years as we explored some of the best-preserved temples and tombs. The sight of these architectural wonders, with their towering pharaoh statues, intricate wall inscriptions, and vivid paintings, was absolutely breathtaking—every location was a visual marvel. Our experience was further enriched by our tour guide, Ebrahim Heshmat, whose expertise as an Egyptologist and his passion as a guide made great company. Ebrahim’s deep knowledge brought the temples to life, as he explained the hieroglyphics, the stories of kings, gods, and rituals, and recommended the must-see tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Thanks to him, we received an immersive crash course in Egyptian history, all while enjoying his humor and engaging company. I can confidently say that Memphis provided us with the finest guides, elevating our Egyptian adventure to the max.

          Dahabiya Luxor to Aswan
The boat was magical; the views, the crew, the food, and fellow travelers. Egyptologist onboard was Azab Morssy who is an excellent guide, we learned so much from him, and best of all, he welcomed us as family.

          Nile Cruise
We took the Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Beautiful and super organized tour. Our Egyptologist guide Ashraf spoke perfect Italian and accompanied us on every visit and excursion, it was really nice to listen to him and see him interpret the hieroglyphs. It was an immersive experience with him.

Helpful, flexible, attentive guide and driver
Mo Salah (guide) and Hussein (driver) were wonderful! We spent two days together seeing the sites and they really helped us when my son experienced some stomach issues. Very attentive and flexible in terms of making changes as needed to the itinerary. The pyramids and camel rides were iconic. A memorable experience and kind service.

Private Egypt Trip for 10 days -- Organized by Memphis tours
This 10 day trip of Egypt inclusive of Giza pyramids, Cairo Museum, Luxor, Abu Symbel, Nile cruise, Alexandria was organized extremely well. The entire tour staff were very responsive to our needs and care-abouts. Even when EgyptAir cancelled our flight to Aswan (less than 12 hrs before the schedule) ... the entire staff commendably worked to find alternate conveyance. This resulted in almost no disruption of our tour. Shout out to everybody right from our first contact (Ahmed), our immigration assistant (Nasser) and our guides at every location (Sayeed, Yasser, Hani) ... everyone worked to make our Egypt trip memorable.

Luxor to Aswan on a dahabiya - this one is more than worthwhile
Dahabiya cruise from Luxor to Aswan was fabulous; smooth sailing up the Nile. Great food and service, terrific fellow travelers, informed and friendly guide. Azad Morssy is the best guide we have had in Egypt; he held the whole thing together without a flaw.

Dahabiya Luxor to Aswan- a fantastic experience
We took the dahabiya cruise on the Nuut, from Luxor to Aswan. Azab Morssy was our guide and I can’t think of anything I would change. The pace was leisurely; the visits to temples and tombs were great - enhanced by Azab’s really thorough knowledge and enthusiasm; the crew was so kind and accommodating. Azab really held the whole thing together like a master conductor; he kept track of every detail, let the group happily together and he is such a great guide. We added on the trip to Abu Simbal, which was truly worthwhile. Mustafa was our fun, knowledgeable, and totally organized guide for that day. Memphis Tours seems to be the tour organizer for Egypt- their guides are the magic sauce.

Review of Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor
We had the great pleasure of having Sayed Selim as our guide during our Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, and he made the experience truly memorable. His knowledge of Egypt’s history and culture was impressive, and he had a great way of explaining everything in a clear, and very fun, way. Sayed's warm and friendly personality made the trip even more enjoyable. He was always positive, approachable, and had a great sense of humor that kept things light and fun. Overall, Sayed made our journey more enjoyable and informative, and we highly recommend him for anyone visiting Egypt.

Memphis tours will organise everything but youll pay significantly and there are gaps in knowledge and service
I would say Memphis tours are a starting point if you’re organising from abroad and don’t want to do that much research yourself as a one stop shop… I’m used to organising my own travel over many years but as Christmas /NY is a busy time and it was fairly last minute to arrange we booked a Nile Dahabiya cruise which had a guide for the archaeological sites. The food on the dahabiya was excellent and varied and we enjoyed that part of it. The one issue we had (which for us was quite significant for NYE) is that there’s no opportunity to buy wine or beer and that should have been stated. The bigger boats do serve alcohol. The only place really is to buy from your hotel before the cruise or further in advance buy duty free UK side on your outbound. trip … it’s a bit strange not to toast the NY. Also being really interested in the history as it’s a huge subject we really were expecting a guide with extensive knowledge to tap into. We’d previously been to Cairo and had excellent guides and organised another guide ourselves in Luxor. Memphis tours employs freelance guides so this means this can vary. Our guide on our cruise was a pleasant man but had a way of speaking that meant he spoke with many repeated slow phrases but never imparted the information and asking questions just went back into the same loop. He also seemed to have no idea of timings and what was practical - we were a small group a family of 5 we didn’t know and us a couple ( so not a large party to be organised ). We ended up doing our own research which was disappointing as we really wanted to be on site in the place and be really engaged. This was a big downside to our experience. He also caused a problem as I mentioned to him about what he thought as a local was reasonable for a small tip (which seems to be expected everywhere) and he decided to speak to that person in such a way we were put in a very awkward situation which wasn’t pleasant leaving us to deal with it and smooth things over. We were offered a number of additional tours during the rest of our time but we felt that we were being taken advantage of with prices being sometimes twice that of guides you can engage easily with transport when you are there or elsewhere on the Internet. They added on one site to the itinerary which was approximately an hour / hour and a half and wanted 30 dollars each so 210 dollars for our group. We’d previously had an extensive 5 hours personal tour for two people with transport with an Egyptologist and driver for 80 dollars - so this is the comparison. Yes they provide a service which should be a comfort to anyone who is not used to organising travel or those nervous about what they will encounter in Egypt but in some aspects they didn’t hit the mark in comparison to other experiences and definitely on price.

We contracted Memphis Tours to organize our trip in Egypt as a private tour, and it was one of the best travel investments that I ever made. First, the basic stuff - our trip began in Cairo, where they provided a fantastically experienced Egyptologist who made the history behind the sites come alive. They presented us with several add-on opportunities, both in shopping and extra excursions, without any pressure to accept. After Cairo, we enjoyed the Nile Cruise on MS Steigenberger Legacy. We had another experienced guide accompany for the remainder of the trip. From Luxor to Abu Simbel, every part of the trip created an amazing memory for us to keep. I especially recommend the paying extra to enjoy the sunrise hot air balloon ride over Luxor.

What I must note about our experience, though was that the Memphis Tours team assisted us with a very difficult situation. The airlines delayed our luggage arrival in Cairo, and we were not able to receive them until five days into the trip. The Memphis Tours team rose up to the challenge of the situation, coordinating receipt of the luggage from the airline, getting the bags delivered to their office in Aswan, and having delivered to the ship. On the first day, they took some extra time to take us shopping for new clothes to hold us over until then. Their work kept us in good spirits despite this travel disaster.

I also want to recognize Fatma in the Memphis Tours office, Her work in coordinating our private tours, with several special requests by myself, was key to our great experience. She kept the communications between us going for months before our trip.

I cannot recommend this firm more!

This is my second trip with Memphis Tours. Our travel agent Maged Al Gohary made sure to give us the best deal and we are very happy with his service.
Visiting Egypt has always been a great desire of mine and I chose to celebrate my 60th birthday in this magical country.
Our trip was incredible and our itinerary allowed us to see the best of Egypt in 10 days.
The difference between Memphis tour and other travel packages are the agents. Every city has a local agent and that makes all the difference.
In Cairo we had the full assistance of Nasr Mahr who personally took care of all the details of our stay in Egypt.
Super professional and attentive from start to finish.
After a day in Cairo we continued our journey to Luxor, a beautiful city full of charms and history. In Luxor we were welcomed by Sheko who explained all the details about our Nile Cruise and introduced the Egyptologist Yasser who was the most incredible person we’ve ever met .
Yasser made the trip memorable! He was able to explain all the historical details of the places we visited in Luxor ; Karnak Temples, Luxor Temple, Nile Cruise, Royal Cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, The Valley of the Kings, Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon.
Edfur, Kom Ombo, High Dan, Nubian Village, Abu Simbel, Unfinished Obelish and Temple of Philae devotees to Isis and Hathor.
I had a huge desire to swim in the Nile River and when I asked Yasser he made it possible and it was an unforgettable experience.
When returning to Cairo, we thought we were just going to visit the pyramids..little did we know we would be in for a surprise.
We returned to Cairo and Nasr Mahr already had an updated itinerary where he introduced us to Egyptologist Moustafa who provided us with a super productive day with a visit to the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the famous Sphinx and Valley Temple,Egyptian Museum, and Khan El Khalili bazaar.
We had the opportunity to have lunch in a traditional restaurant and ended our day with the last activity which was the Sound and Light Show at the Sphinx Vally Temple.
I am very happy and already planning the next trip.

This was truly a trip of a lifetime! Memphis Tours guided us through Cairo, along the Nile, and beyond. From the moment we were greeted in Cairo by our tour manager Mostafa Elgabry, it was clear we had chosen the right tour. Mostafa expertly guided us through the airport and to our hotel, engaging us with history and culture right from the start, ensuring that all our needs were met. Every detail was planned and orchestrated with our comfort, safety, and satisfaction clearly of utmost importance Our outstanding tour guide, Ahmed Helal, spent the next 7 days sharing his knowledge of Egyptian history and culture as we visited the Cairo, Giza, Luxor, and cruised the Nile to Aswan. Ahmed patiently answered all our questions and continually astounded me with his expertise, as well as being one of the kindest and most gracious men I have ever met. We all quickly began to regard him as more friend than guide. I have already recommended Memphis Tours and Ahmed to friends who are wanting to visit Egypt.

Memphis Tours made my Egyptian visit easy and fun. I booked a ten-day tour which included the Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum, air flight to Luxor to see Karnak and Luxor, boat cruise down the Nile with stops at Edfu and Kom Ombo, sights in Aswan plus side trips to Abu Simbel and Alexandria. The total cost was less than $4,000 US and included everything: hotels, transportation, tour guides, attraction tickets and most meals. Tayel met me at the airport, took me to my hotel and later back to the airport for my return flight. He was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. My various guides were equally professional, especially Mahmoud who went above and beyond. Two suggestions: 1) Ask specifically for what you want. My tour included things like shopping at bazaars that didn't interest me as I would rather visit museums. 2) Get Egyptian pounds from an ATM for tips because everyone expects them. A 50 pound note is usually enough, about $2.50 American dollars.

We contacted Ms. Esraa from Memphis. Excellent He guided us about the available options, and during the trip he contacted us to see how we were doing, and make sure we were okay. That is to say that at all times we feel very cared for and accompanied.
I think Egypt is one of those places that you should go with a scheduled tour, to avoid problems. For example, upon arriving in Cairo, we were met at the airport by a guide from Memphis who spoke Spanish, he asked us for our passports and 5 minutes later he returned with the authorized visas, and then he accompanied us to get our suitcases and drove to the hotel. We stayed in 3 hotels (when we arrived and then when we returned to Cairo after the visit to the Nile). We didn't like Flamengo because of its style and because it is located in a neighborhood that doesn't allow you to go out and explore, especially at night. The Hilton is a huge hotel, beautiful but the same as you can find in any capital in the world.
The Le Riad hotel is a beautiful place located in the Islamic neighborhood. The entire environment transports you to the past, the decorations, the walls, the rooms and the passing of the passers-by and hustle and bustle of the street, which, although it is a lot, gives it a particular charm. You can walk from the hotel to the market, which is a few blocks away and is very safe.
The imposing pyramids, and the internal visit to the interior of Cheop, were quite difficult to reach through those narrow passages.
The Nile cruise is a beautiful experience, it transports you to another era, you feel like you are in a novel by Wilbur Smith or Agatha Christie. You stop and visit temples, although the trip itself, with the boat traveling along the Nile and allowing you to observe the plantations and small towns of the interior of Egypt on both banks, is something truly unforgettable. Do not be distracted when you reach the middle of the trip since there you will see (almost always at dusk, according to what we were told), how the ship in a very narrow canal, rises in level very quickly through a system of locks, and then go upstream of the Nile.
The Valley of the Kings in Luxor is, in our opinion, even better than the pyramids themselves since entering each Temple allows you to make the visit more interactive. The Museum in Luxor is worth it! Try to go with a Guide since otherwise you will not be able to appreciate the stories behind each item exhibited.
Of the additional tours, we do not recommend the ride through the city of Luxor in a horse cart, we felt very sorry for the horse, traveling through the central streets of a city like any other in Africa. Nor would we recommend accepting if they offer you to visit aromatic essence businesses, you waste time and are only interested in the sale.
Although Aswan has some ruins to visit, the most important thing is the dam. Regarding Abu Simbel, it is a separate tour, which is surely worth it, but we did not do it since you have to spend 4 hours by car there and 4 hours back, and we were a little tired at that point in the trip.
The internal flights were excellent and we had no problems with delays.
Anyway, if you are thinking about traveling, Egypt is surely a destination that will be unforgettable for you.

As seniors we wanted to fulfill a life long dream to visit Egypt but needed a Tour Company that would individualize (a Cairo, Nile Cruse, Luxor, Aswan tour and several day tours) for just myself and my husband. In addition tours that would accommodate a wheelchair (supplied by Memphis Tours) when needed and my rollator and flexibility for each tour.

After much research I found Abdo Younis of Memphis Tours, he did an excellent job in coordinating and “individualizing” our itinerary. We had a private Guide, a Driver and at times a person to push my wheelchair on uneven, difficult terrain.
The Memphis Handicapped/Disability made our tour and goal of Egypt possible.
        Thank you Memphis.

Our Tour Guide Ahmed Helal, (both times in Cairo) was very knowledgeable, caring, had a sense of Humor, “nothing was too much trouble” and enjoyable. Each of our tours: Pyramids of Giza, Museums, Citadel/Mohamed Ali Mosque, Coptic Church, Memphis and Saqqara were made special by Ahmed...you can tell he loved his job.

His driver Abu Hariara was skillful and a very caring person. Since a step stool was not available he was very creative in finding a 'rock' for me to step on to get in and out of the Van.

Abdelaah Wannan was a most knowledgeable and very experienced guide sharing facts of Luxor, Karnak, Edfu, Aswan and Nubian Village .
My wheelchair assistant, Rifay was a strong, caring and accomplished young man.

SafariAbusimbel was our caring guide in Abu Simbel and eager to share the Glory of the spectacular RamsesII Temple.

Our River Cruise boat Acamar II was lovely, had very clean handicapped rooms and the managers, staff, food and service were very good.

Mohamed Fathi our tour coordinator kept in constant contact with us. He was professional, very flexible in advising & accommodating, tailoring our “extra” day tours and was there for the very early/late night Cairo Airport transports.

This tour and Egypt were beyond our expectations and a magical experience. We felt extremely safe throughout all the tour locations.

My wife and I recently travelled to Egypt for our honeymoon. We had an incredible trip and Memphis Tours was a huge help in the planning and execution. They helped us tailor a custom 12 day itinerary that included a great mix of excursions through Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, as well as a Nile cruise on the Historia. These cities are wonderful, with such fascinating history, rich culture, delicious food, and friendly people. It's worth the 3am wakeup call to take a sunrise hot air balloon over the Valley of Kings. Our guides and Egyptologists were amazing - we would have overlooked so much without them - a very special thanks to Mansour in Luxor, Ewais along our cruise journey, and Mai in Cairo. The trip was planned flawlessly, with private shuttles to and from all tours and airports. Everyone with Memphis went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. They were responsive, professional and well organized. Highly recommend! We'll definitely use them again, next time in Jordan or Morocco!

If you are seeking a Egypt tour. Look no further, Memphis tour is the best. We just returned from a 10 days trip in Egypt from Cairo to Abu Simbel including 4 days three nights of Nile cruise and Alexandria in August. We had so much fun in Egypt. Starting from the best tour manager Mostafa G who picked us up at the airport. He is so efficient and helpful. He adjusted our trip a bit to make sure that we had the best experience. He added all the pyramids in one day so we had extra time to visit hanging church , museum and mosque on the next day. We had the best tour guide Ahmed Rezk who is knowledgeable, kind, and professional. He has the great balance of making sure that we have enough information regarding the history and the facts , as well as taking THE BEST pictures- feeding sphinx water, kissing sphinx, picking, pushing pyramids. Ahmed R knows the best angle of every picture. We had so many family pictures that we loved. Thank you Ahmed Resk. He guided us to see iconic pieces at Egyptian museum and I love how he explained the history of Egypt, easy to understand with a broad picture of timeline. The last but not the least, our family loved our driver Mando M. He is so friendly and kind to our children. He made sure that the van is always clean, comfortable with cold water. We loved his smile and professionalism. Thank you Memphis tour for having the best team and making our trip amazing.

An unqualified 5! The very first contact last December answered by Ms. Mai made me feel assured that I made the right choice in booking our trip with Memphis. Mai was understanding, reactive, constructive in advice and patient - and finalized a very nice itinerary with the best possible choices. From the time we were picked up at the airport to after 11 days beings brought back to from where we had started everything worked exactly as planned. There was not the slightest b-Mall!. Other than thanking Mai we want to mention specifically that during our 5 days in Cairo guide Shrouk and driver Magdy were a wonderful "tandem". Shrouk was one of the best guides we had in our many travels: she shared rather than explained - and provided the "big picture" rather drowning us in details.

Splendid organization. We would like to let everyone know that Egypt is a hospitable and peaceful country, come without problems. We purchased the Nile cruise + Cairo tour and we can say, after having seen half the world, that this is an unmissable trip. It is useless to mention the vestiges of a thousand-year-old empire, notes. We would like to say a few words about the evocative beauty of the Nile, and in particular the south, which is breathtaking. The visit to Nubia opens up a different world compared to the rest of the country, with atavistic traditions of black Africa, matriarchal (the tour also includes a visit, optional for a fee, to a Nubian village with access to a private house, where crocodiles are also kept in captivity and where their life as very large extended families is explained to you, with the matriarch who holds the reins of command). Maybe it was because we were lucky with the guide: his name is Khadr, an Egyptologist of great cultural depth: an intellectual devoted to tourism, and a wonderful person. I also want to say a few words for the boy, Noa, who accompanied us to Cairo, who has great empathy with people, loves his city and makes you love it. What to say? We'll be back. Daniela and Graziano
