We (2 Families) chose the Aswan-Abu Simbel-Luxor 4 Day 3 Night Tour with private guide provided by egypt guidelines on 3rd week of December 2023. The Itinery, egypt guidelines(Heba) and the tour guide (Mohammed Sammam) provided excellent support and the trip was well organized. Only glitch in the trip was last minute cancellation of hot air baloon due to wind..Thanks Egypt guidelines and the team..

          Great Cairo Day Tour Experience
My family and I had an awesome time on our tour with Mohamed. He helped us craft a full day itinerary in Cairo which included walking around Coptic and Medieval Cairo and several museums. He had great recommendations, was very flexible and was really helpful in explaining the highlights of the sites we visited - I would definitely recommend getting a tour guide because there is an overwhelming amount of history in the city! My favourite part was when he took us to get breakfast at a local neighbourhood shop near one of our stops and we tried Ta’ameya and aish baladi (Egyptian falafel and flatbread), which were delicious. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Mohamed!

A journey to Christian Historical Sites in Egypt
We ask for a tour of Christian sites and received a 7 day adventure that was unbelievable! The guides were so knowledgeable about the history of the Christian church in Egypt and took us from Alexandria to Mosses Mountain and much more. The care and attention to detail was perfect. We had a vacation of a lifetime. The company took care of all the arrangements, hotel rooms, meals, transportation. Everything was top notch and all the staff was amazing. If you are looking for a historical journey with an emphasis on the Christian church this is the company to use.

Egypt Guidelines 04 Day Egypt Tour to Cairo and Luxor from USA
We actually did the Egypt Tour to Cairo and Luxor from USA 04 Days. Egypt, land of awe and wonder. Ancient mysteries and 5,000 years of history. My 22 year old son and I did the 04 Day Egypt Tour to Cairo and Luxor from USA. Prior to the voyage, Heba was very responsive +9 hours from Los Angeles. Along with Mohammed they customized our 04 Day tour just right, my son and I are very athletic and like to run inside the pyramids and temples. Also do not use the frustrating Eqypt Visa online portal. You do not need a visa in advance. When we arrived, my son got his in 5 minutes without any questions except passport, cash or card. On arrival I arranged our Cairo airport transportation and hotel because the tour started in the morning. Next time I will ask Egypt Guidelines handle that night also because the Viator transport I arranged sent a cryptic message "your hotel is below the minimum fare for our drivers". I emailed them for clarification, no response. I emailed Egypt Guidelines two days before our arrival and Mohammed was there to meet us at the Cairo airport at 0130 am!! So we took him and he even treated us to swarma on the way to the hotel. Viator refused to refund me since their driver did in fact show up. The hotel I chose Hayat Pyramid View had no rooms left so the changed our hotel to a different one down the street, So the next morning we had to walk back to the original one to meet our Egypt Guidelines tour guide Ahmed and driver Rida. Once we got our Egypt Guidelines tour on the road, life was amazing! Guides were knowledgeable Egyptologists and the accommodations were First Class. They arranged a camel ride for us, visits to many local places for lunch and dinner breaks and explained a lot of modern Egyptian culture, such as men and women's relations as well as the ancient history and culture. Pharaoh after pharaoh had hieroglyphics of their conquests, looting and enslavement of other nations. Two even had their footrests carved with the peoples they subjugated. After 3000 years of these stories, I was very impressed that in this testosterone dominated history, one woman, Hatshepsut, rose to be Pharaoh. She sent emissaries and established trade with far off Somalia which benefited both countries. Her funeral mausoleum is flanked with the remains of two Somalia trees she brought back. There are also theories that Neferatiti became Pharaoh after her husband died. In the present day, although, we really appreciated the local Egyptian restaurants and locales, I got really sick of the vegetable and grain focused low-star Egyptian food. The beef is in short supply and not USDA Choice lol. So resist any hope that it will be plentiful or palatable and do not order it. Egypt Guidelines got us a beautiful hotel in Luxor, the Sonesta St. George, their 5 star restaurant was more like what I eat every day stateside: Sea bass and the price was only $40 US (exchange was 19 Egyptian to $1) for both my son and I and service was included (I tipped like $4 because they stayed open a little later for us). This was our first time to Egypt and I didn't know what to expect in the Muslim world. I carried the US Embassy's number with me and reported nightly to my sister in the US. Frankly, Egypt is very safe. Each monument has strict control in and out. Our guide Mohammed was even verified at the Pyramid Light and Sound Spectacular and he has been doing this for over 6 years (the oldest trip advisor review for him I found). Tipping. Can anything be more complex? Ok, since the exchange rate changes, my son and I settled on looking up how much an Egyptian tour guide makes in a day and tip based upon 15% of how much he would have cost you. Bartering. The Egyptian Head dress and robe to beat the heat! Those souvenirs are so irresistable!! Start by resisting. Offer 50% of what the salesperson wants then move up from there. People like a challenge not a pushover. Souvenirs. Wait for the Official Egypt Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities store in Karnak No barter and the highest quality. Nefertiti bust is most nearly like the original. Everyone is in love with Egypt. That's movies like "The Mummy" keep reappearing. If you take an Egypt Guidelines tour, you will make a memory to last several lifetimes!

          “Magnificent Tours & Services”
Words can not express how grateful I am to Mohammed for sharing his passion and his knowledge! We toured several destinations throughout Egypt and they were all beautiful & magnificent experiences! His passion, his knowledge, his patience, the smoothness and beautiful coordination of our trips and stays made each one of them a memorable moment. His kindness and assistance with the slightest of details outside of our tours were quite a blessing as well, always very accommodating. I am very grateful to him and highly recommend his tour guide services!

Tour operator did not show up
Tour operator did not show up to pick me up from my hotel for this tour. I contacted the operator several times while waiting for them and have still not received a response. Extremely disappointed with this experience and the total lack of communication.

          Best Guide
My guide Mohamad Hedar was exceptionally knowledgeable, informative & motivated. His time management skills, genuine nature, ability to converse with ease, answer question & show consideration to my party's personal preferences was beyond our expectation. Our driver Abdulla made sure car was cleaned & washed frequently, fresh smelling, stocked with water bottles & breakfast sandwiches as our 4.5hr started @6am. He accommodated our needs for a rest stops when needed. Both driver & guide were pleasant & professional. The sites were unforgetable & mindblowing. I will be booking this duo again on my next trip without a doubt.

          Excellent Tour with Mohammed
Wow what a day. Mohammed led our tour around Cairo and it was magnificent. Pyramids, Coptic Cairo, Bazaar and Islamic Cairo, we had a great mix of historical Egypt, modern life, and short breaks to watch real Cairo pass in front of us. We look forward to booking another tour in the future....either Alexandria or Luxor. Highly recommend this group and Mohammed in particular.

          Very pleased!
I feel like there’s magic hidden all over Egypt and my tour guides really made me feel like I had the insider scoop on all the locations we visited. They were very knowledgeable and quick to answer all of the questions I had, on top of filling me in on tidbits about the places we passed by that weren’t on the tour. My tour guides were super friendly and very willing to take pictures of me (which is a huge plus for a solo traveler!). I didn’t plan a strict itinerary but the company was very accommodating with my last minute changes and add ons. I ended up touring with them for 5 days instead of the 3 I had originally planned. I’m overall very pleased with the services provided and strongly recommend them!

          Excellent 6 days tour(Cairo,Alexandria, Luxor)
Over all our tour to Egypt was AMAZING, the staff of the Egypt Guidelines manage to gives us detailed good itinerary from the Day 1 we arrived Cairo. Heba, Mohamed Hedar were two person help us with all of this. Of course our amazing tour guide, Reham which we consider our friend now. We are on private tour for 3 person which was more very convenient, we have our van with a good experienced driver, MOhamed so manage to see most of places with ease, from Old city, Coptic Cairo, Alexandria,Giza, Sprinx, Sakkara, Luxor, Egyptian musuem and more. It was all WORTH to visit all these ancient places in history. I will definitely coming back to Egypt..waiting for the new biggest largest Egyptian museum opens. Food as well as was GREAT. Reham our Egyptology(tour guide} was really really really very good in what does she do, Thumbs UP to her. Heba the coordinator see to it that we are fine every time, everyday she will call us and ask how we are doing and how's the tour. Egypt is a must see place which I consider a WONDERS OF THE WORLD. Come go to Egypt. travel@egyptguidelines.com(for inquiry) contact them ask for HEBA.

Well run service and Mohamed Hedar was an outstanding guide
My wife was invited to give a talk in Cairo, and I got to tag along. We had four days to see the beautiful sights and we were lucky enough to be assigned Mohamed as our guide. He met us at the airport and was with us through almost our entire visit. He is deeply knowledgeable about the history of Egypt and was also very informative about daily life in the teeming city. He asked a lot of questions about our interests and how we wanted to spend our time, and then strived to help us hit every goal. So we got to visit the shores of the Red Sea, eat at a roadside kebab stand, have a distilled visit to the Egyptian Museum, and try the delicious fruit juices at every stop. He was unfailingly accommodating. We asked to switch hotels to the Mena in Giza (different from what we had originally planned) and he allowed us to do this with no fuss. He informed us of the rough prices with every street vendor. And he gave us wonderful insight into the university system, working life, politics, family, marriage and demographics of his wonderful home country. We had interacted with the manager Heba entirely on email before we landed, so we weren't sure what to expect. We were gratified that the agency was unfailingly professional and that Mohammed (along with Hamid, our driver) were so warm, friendly and visitor-oriented. We will be back again, and accompanied next time by our three children!

Mohamed Hedar was a Perfect Guide
Another guide service in Luxor had subcontracted for our tour of Cairo, and we were met by Mohamed Hedar at the airport. He was excellent in showing us the pyramids in Giza and Saqqara, as well as the outdoor museum in Memphis and the National Museum. His english is excellent, and he is knowledgeable and personable. You can't go wrong in booking a tour with him.

Exceptional Guide - 14 Days (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Nile Cruise, Hurgadha, Cairo)
          M. Hedar with Egypt Guidelines organized a two week private guided trip throughout Egypt for my family of four in December 2015/January 2016. We decided to travel to Egypt despite recent security warnings and felt safe during all of our activities. I couldn't have asked for a better guide or more responsive service from Hedar. We had help with airport transfers and visas, they ensured our hotel rooms exceeded our expectations throughout the trip, he was flexible with the planned itinerary when we needed to make changes (like go to McDonald's for kids), provided friendly and safe drivers, and endured some long days with us where we packed so much sightseeing into our trip. Hedar was with us for all our time in Cairo. He arranged all other guides, drivers and transfer agents for the other cities, but was still available via WhatsApp to check in and respond to our questions and concerns. Hedar's knowledge of the history and significance of the sights we visited was extensive, yet he was able to tailor the explanations to suit the attention span of our 8 and 10 year olds. When compared to other guide companies where I received quotes Egypt Guidelines provided the best value overall, and was willing to organize a unique tour with the major sights and kid-friendly activities like Fagnoon Art Village and KidZania in Cairo plus ATV riding in the desert in Hurgadha. Hedar is a man of integrity, and was also unwilling to plan for activities (e.g. desert camping) that were not recommended for tourists by the Egyptian police and army. Other guide companies that I received quotes from were not as conscientious. If you are planning a trip to Egypt I would recommend that you don't waste your time and energy planning a trip with other guides - Hedar will arrange your trip to exceed your expectations!

This is a perfect tour to see the big attractions. It’s a great full-day with the ease of using one tour guide to see it all. While we saw everything, our guide was the reason we had an unforgettable experience.

Mohamed is the best guide I have ever worked with. He is knowledgeable of the sites described in the itinerary, and everything else Egyptian. He also speaks perfect English making it easy to understand everything. You can ask him anything about Egypt, and he’ll likely know the answer.

If you’re looking to do a tour, you should absolutely do this one. We liked it so much we scheduled two additional days with him, with one of them being a day trip to Alexandria.

This was our second visit to Egypt, and we were fortunate to have Mohamed Hedar act as our guide both times. He is extremely knowledgeable and very personable. His English is excellent. We doubt that anyone will find a better guide for either the standard Tours, or something custom tailored to whatever you need. Highly, highly recommend.
