- V9347TKnataliew0 contributionsFantastic view of the pyramid while having dinner. We had a great time at dinner overlooking the pyramids. Omar saeed Picked us up from our hotel on time he and his driver were very nice and kind. We learned about some of the history and culture on our way to dinner. We got to dinner and was seated and the view of the pyramids were fantastic. So beautiful 😍. While we were having dinner they were doing a sight and sounds show in Japanese. It was so beautiful to see the pyramids lit up in different colors. Omar saeed Got us back to our hotel safely. It was great. The food was delicious. Great view delicious food. It’s a win winWritten September 24, 2023
- U6394SXhelene0 contributionsFabulous family holiday!!On arrival at the hotel was greeted by a fabulous looking hotel, large foyer area. First thing that struck me was how immaculate everything looked. Check in was a bit rushed, it was 1am, and then to our rooms. Rooms were a lovely size and very very clean. Loved the separate room areas for us and the kids. Mamdouh our housekeeper was amazing, leaving lovely towel art for the kids! He was so lovely!! Next day and straight for breakfast. A huge range of food, we never got bored of the main restaurant. Omar was one of the first waiters we met. He was amazing. Friendly, helpful and always smiling. The kids loved him! The pool area was fabulous, no sun bed wars. Ahmed the lifeguard (by the childrens pool) was fabulous. Ensuring area was kept clean and tidy that guest were comfortable but sorting their towels, making pillows out of towels! Gutted when he went home for holiday as the last 3 days you noticed that wasn’t there! The water park was the best! Bit for everyone, all the kids loved it! The fact that the pool areas are a maximum of 1.20m allowed us to give the children a bit more independence in going off for a bit on their own! The entertainment team were lovely fully of energy and gave a great vibe to the hotel. Great thing was even though they would come round and encourage you to take part in stuff they would leave you alone as soon as you declined, never felt hassled. Choice of food at the snack bars was great. However I loved the pasta and would wait for a long time just for a quick bowel as the want for pizza was bigger. Could do with 2 people in that cafe area at peak times. Kareem in the bar area was lovely. Always smiling and serving the best cocktails. Negatives I wouldn’t class this as a 5* there are some areas that could be improved. Access to the a le carte restaurants was limited. This is the first hotel I’ve been to where you couldn’t try all the restaurants. On 1 visit per week or 3 if you are there for 2 weeks. That’s if you can get a booking. The restaurant was incredibly hectic. No organisation on seating area. We only got to sit together as a family once because Omar put to tables together for us. Always 2 separate tables as there were 8 of us. Needs organising to have managers delegating seats and allowing the staff time to clear the tables and re set. The bar area of the evening. When the bar got busy the manager just stood at the end berating the staff to be quicker! They were going as fast as they could. Maybe he could get behind the bar and help. One thing that did concern me was seeing how a lifeguard dealt with a situation of a lady who fell down the steps and clearly dislocated her ankle. They physically lifted her into a wheel chair and left the leg hanging with no support. I had to chase them to say no and get them to support the leg, that could Of resulted in further injury. Although I have some negatives my overall experience was fabulous! I would definitely return to this hotel in future.Written August 28, 2023
- oskarew0 contributionsBizarre and a bit unsettling! This market is crowded around a working mosque with narrow streets where cars and buses force their way through - watch your feet! You need haggle hard to get a good bargain and the sellers are way too persistent when you say La, La (no) - even with a stern face! Did not say you will come back to a shop - they will come looking for you! It is a great though and there are some cafes for drinks.Written July 29, 2023
