About
Meet your guide at your Alexandria hotel, and start the day at the New Library, a stunning modernist structure that celebrates the Alexandria library that was destroyed in ancient times. Continue to the site of the lighthouse that was once a wonder of the ancient world, then visit King Farouk’s palace, where the Montazah Gardens and elegant grounds look out towards the Mediterranean Sea. Hear dramatic stories from Egypt’s wartime history, when the king fled the city as overseas troops arrived. Take a break for lunch in a restaurant with perfect sea views, then spend the afternoon exploring the city’s best ancient sites. Relive Roman imperial triumphs at Pompey’s Pillar, discover the remains of Alexandria’s ancient library, visit the Roman amphitheater, and explore an open air museum to see artifacts from archeological digs. Go underground in the 3rd-century catacombs that combine Greek, Roman and Egyptian art, and take in some of the city’s modern monuments and elegant corniche

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- desmond1180 contributionsGreat experience and fantastic serviceNoura was very helpful and professional with good detail provided and the tour was well organised, it was a real great experience for us. The camping at the desert is fantastic with a good tasty dinner, camp fire accompanying with the Egyptian songs and stars. Noura went extra miles to help us gave us a place to relax and shower before we take the bus from Cairo to LuxorWritten December 6, 2024
- MH4Ever0 contributionsHappy tripIt was a perfect and wonderful trip, I will recomend the Othman Tours for everything also special thanks for Miss Nourhan, she was very friendly and specialist and she follow up with us all the details.Written November 25, 2024
- Lookman M0 contributionsAn escape from the hustle, bustle, and (sometimes the hassle)— I highly recommend. My experience was 5 out of 5 stars— the highlight was my guide and driver Ahmed and his assistant Abdul touring us around the beautiful scenery (i.e. black and white desert, crystal mountain) where we then ended our day by camping under the moon and stars around a fire in the Bahareya desert. The food and vibe was great! Mostafa and his friend played music and we drank amazing tea. The next day after having breakfast we went sledding in the sand dunes and I bathed relaxed in the hot spring, which was hot and amazing which you shouldn’t miss, so don’t forget to bring your bathing suit. The first evening, I was a bit cold, but Mostafa gave me a nice toasty wool blanket which kept me warm. So definitely you should come prepared to wear warm clothes cause the desert can get chilly at night and you should bring lots of snacks just in case you get hungry since we were visiting a lot of places.Written November 21, 2024
- Odyssey078207780730 contributionsgood dessert experienceThe tour guide was very good and we had a very unforgettable night in the Sahara desert. Dinner was roast chicken, very delicious, stars were beautiful. Good, recommendation!Written November 11, 2024

- carlosg2590 contributionsRecommended experience!Very well organized tour! White Desert deserves to be seen, unique views! The 3 meals were quite good, the driver very good, the tents and sleeping bags with very good quality!Written November 7, 2024
- valeriafT3101EK0 contributionsUnique experience!!It was a wonderful tour. The guides are very good. Beautiful experience!! We stayed in the tent in the night after singing and laughing a lot in front of the fire, unique. I congratulate Noura very much who followed us every step of the tour making sure that everything was going well. Super recommended!!Written November 1, 2024
- Q9179EFmohamedw0 contributionsSaqqara, Memphis, Dhahshur and GizaThe tour which noura the tour manager arranged was great, and well planned. We were comfortably able to visit all the places. Recommended. Noura was great and hospitable as well as the driver abdu. The guide was great as well except for the part that he took us to a restaurant which was quite expensive and not worth, so I do not recommend that restaurant at all. That's the place we're all the tour guides take you.Written November 1, 2024
- Relax5123690 contributionsAn amazing experienceI had a really good experience with my group in the desert. The landscapes were amazing. The sand surfing is really funny. The guides were nice even if they didn't speak really good English. The sky was shining while you are around the fire and listen to te bedouin music. So beautiful.Written October 26, 2024
- Relax5123690 contributionsNot recommendedThe cruise I took was supposed to be an Luxury dinner cruise. Nothing was luxury about it. They find me a table in a awful living room. The buffet was really poor and bad. The belly dancing wasn't a real belly dancing. When i complained to Othman tours they didn't make nothing. Don't take this cruise with them. Don't go on the Scarabee boat. I just give 2 stars because of the crew who was really nice to me and the singer.Written October 26, 2024
- 614franklinp0 contributionsThe best of cairoThe best cairo hostel for Brazilian. Thank you. I felt in my house.... Clean, the people are friendly. I loved heristage hostel. If I go back Egypt I gonna look for againWritten October 18, 2024
- 199llu_sg0 contributionsWonderful experienceVery good experience, all was perfactly organized and the communication was fluid. The order and places seen was perfect. We really appreciated the good vibes and energy of our guide in the dessert Mostafa. Thank you!Written October 16, 2024
- Safari404736916010 contributionsGoodAmazing Experience! The Desert is Beautiful. Must Do especially with The tour Guide, Mostafa - he was Fun & Kind! He made sure I was okay. He will make you laugh and he sings and dances very well. The Food he prepared for lunch and BBQ Dinner was the Best Egyptian food I had. Better than hotels. However, SOME POINTS to note especially for woman solo travellers. Transportation by the owner, Othman Tours wasn't clearly stated. You'll have someone pick you up by car around 6:30 AM (I stayed near Cairo airport) and sent to a hostel to wait (old building - I decided to wait outside) then transferred to a different car with a different driver (not jeep). I tried calling the owner to make sure about the transportation since 2 men in a car came to pick me up and he wasn't easily available.. (which I found out later was my Guide). The drive to the desert is around 4.5 hours in a car (at times you will be the only car in the road) and once you are at Bahariya , they will ask you if you want an air conditioned jeep. Some jeeps ARE NOT air conditioned. I went June 10th so it was HOT. When I said I wanted a jeep with AC, they told me it wasn't available so I ended up going in the Desert with a small car. In addition, I wanted to go sand boarding and we didn't. Also Don't be suprise if the owner asks for your passport information since he needs to provide for the Camp permit in the desert. Just make sure don't send a picture of your passport. Lesson Learned. OVERALL experience. I had a great time because the Tour Guide Mostafa is really cool.Written June 12, 2024
- MarcTrappman0 contributionsUnique emotions and sensationsIt was an amazing experience for the mind and the heart. Landscapes that enter your soul that our guide Ahmet made us discover and appreciate. But also sporty, with sand boarding and climbing the dunes by 4x4. Camping in the White Desert cannot be described but has to be experienced, a sense of quiet and freedom great for meditating and getting rid of the stresses of daily life. Also excellent was the bbq lunch and dinner eaten in the Bedouin tradition. Also excellent was the driver Hassan, who drove me and my family, with two boys and a little girl, from Giza and brought us back and who helped us well beyond his duties to solve a trouble caused by another operator. Acting as our interpreter and valuable support.Written February 26, 2024
