- 311glaxyg00Great TripWe spent a great time cruise in upper Egypt. It was good chance to know everything about Egyptian history with Egyptian guide
- DEK_2900"Temple to the Gods" Karnak Sound and light show - inspiringThe sound and life show at Karnak temple an inspiring piece of theater that provides information into the building of Karnak temple and what brought about the dedication to the unseen god Amun. It was a clear winter's night which turned out to be the coldest night in Luxor's recorded history. The soundtrack and the visuals to the show were at times difficult to understand. We had to look around a lot to see what was being lit up. The best part of the show was at the end of the program when seated on the stands gazing across the sacred lake. I would suggest that anyone purchase the DVD of the show as it is very well done and has better colors than the actual show, plus it helps to figure out what you may have missed from the show.
- L2425LQpeterw00AwfulThat's one hour of my life I won't get back We were expecting something really good But it was awful. Don't waste your money
- Sarahln99200Full day tour of Luxor from hurghadaWe booked with Luxor travel services on October it was perfectly organized our agent took care of us and the guide was really helpful and patient with us. Would definitely use this service again once me and my husband come back to Egypt.
- Margo W00MS Steigenberger LegacyFantastic, the staff are so attentative and welcoming, home away from home. The variety and quality of food was amazing, something for everyone. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I recomend upgrading the the topdeck and the dricks package was well worth it. If traveling with children speak to your booking agent to organise a drinks package for the. 1st class service.
- ipu2700Waste of moneyWe paid USD 40 per person for this show to our agent. I will say it is a sheer waste of money. It’s nothing special. Also the narrating voices are not very clear to follow and understand. Actually the price for entry is only EGP 200, however the agents charge it that high due to arranging transfers I guess. If you can manage your own transport, the. you can go there, purchase tickets by yourself and it will be much cheaper. Overall, I will not recommend to waste your time and money visiting this show even if it’s cheaper.
- Laura H00steingenburger legacyThe food on board this boat was really tasty, nothing was to much trouble for the chef to make if you wanted something special. The crew were always helpful and very polite, service was more than expected. The cabins were very clean, with tea making facilities. I would travel again on this boat and I have already booked my next trip. The archeologist Islam was very knowledgable and explained all the site visits in great detail.
- Gamal_Mik00Manage expectations first!!The temple itself is impressive! However, when you hear “sound & light” you’d expect something glamorous. Well, don’t!! It is simple and outdated somehow. Knowing this fact upfront, I promise you’ll enjoy it. It’s a combination of walking through the temple, standing and finally a seated part for a good hour. The price: well, for my taste it’s overpriced spending over 40$
- Ward5000Very poorWe decided to go to this sound and light show as it fitted in with the itinerary of our tour. We would have preferred the one at the pyramids. We had been to this temple during the day with our tour guide and it was fab. However, our return in the evening was a real disappountmebt. You walk for the first half of the show (about 25 minutes) but this is really more standing while you listen to a bit of the history through loud speakers and a few lights shine on different parts of the temple. You then go to a seated area overlooking the lake and continue listening while a few lights take it in turns to switch on with an occasional change in colour. We were expecting a far more dazzling sight with lasers and lighting coming from the water etc. We were not impressed having spent $42 dollars each. Less than hour and over. Would say save your money and spend it on something else, like a nice meal! (The temple is stunning and well worth a visit during the day).
- Ahmed S00great tripThis was a great trip at a reasonable cost the trip was enjoyable. We saw plenty of Historical places during the day and usually had the evenings to ourselves to chill. There was no catch and I can't believe it! I have no idea how you guys able to afford to offer such inexpensive packages. The food was great, the accommodations terrific and the sights amazing
- Salma H00HurghadaWe went to hurghada organized by Luxor travel service. Everything was amazing and well organized. The car that took us from the airport also was so clean and the guide was very informative. Definitely will not be the last time to book with you!
- Yumna M00Loved itHad a day tour in Cairo and it was such an amazing experience and the tour guy was very nice! Thank you
- Beatrice K00Excellent guide and tourIf you’re interested in learning a great deal about the fascinating religious and cultural history of Morocco, we strongly recommend taking a tour with Abdul Moez Sebak. A retired professor of archaeology, he is incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of subjects-particularly Ancient Egyptian history. We toured Old Cairo, the Citadel and the Egyptian Museum with Abdul and were thrilled with our experience. He is professional, good-natured and really focuses on educating you about Cairo’s history - not on tourist traps or other distractions. We enthusiastically recommend him for anyone looking for a private tour guide in Cairo.
- viviko00Atmospheric, but limited.Upon arrival, we were directed to enter through the main building where security staff were present to check you and your bags in an airport-security fashion. We were led after a short walk, to a waiting area at the entrance. These shows are run successively in different languages one after the other, so your group will have to wait until the exiting group appears along the path leading out. So expect the inevitable delays. Karnak is undoubtedly a hugely impressive site with monolithic columns that are quite simply the largest of any I've seen in any temple anywhere in the world. The commentary though, was not particularly clear, exciting or timely in relation to our being herded by security staff from one 'stopping point' to another, probably because they are always running late. It's a valiant effort. The atmosphere did illicit a sense of reverence, but it could be so much better. The tour ends with an open-air seated 'experience' consisting of some storytelling and spotlighting here and there, with no real focus. The opportunity to explore is limited given the time constraints and since the ground underfoot is varyingly uneven, in the dark it would have been easy to lose your footing, trip or slide on the sand, so bear this in mind when choosing footwear. Security staff are always on hand though and seemed quite attentive in ensuring everyone is kept safely together. If possible, take time to review the model construction of the site in the main entrance building, to fully appreciate the extent of the temple and grounds. Good tip is to do this when you are leaving the site if you’re able, as there are also very nice, clean toilets inside the main building, (plus you can avoid running the gamut of stall-holders and vendors along the exit path THEY try to direct you to take!)
- BecsterA5900Interesting ShowWe had set our expectations too high for this show. We were glad to have gone but the show itself was average at best. Definitely needs to be modernized and spiced up a bit.
