About the operator
- marcomY6080DF00Legendary LuxorMy Luxor tour with Ahmed was incredibly efficient, well organized and well executed. Ahmed made sure that I understood the history of everything we visited which is tremendously appreciated. Ahmed’s English was great and we had a lovely time! Given global macro, I was pleasantly surprised how safe I felt in both Cairo and Luxor. Thank you Memphis….thank you Ahmed!
- ishanver2400Had the time of our lives in CairoWe wanted to book a tour to Egypt to see the Great Pyramids which was a long standing dream of my wife and I for the longest time. We were immediately advised by internet reviews to go with Memphis Tours and it turned out to be the best decision. Our day in Cairo had a visit to the Pyramids, Sphinx, The Egyptian Museum, Papyrus factory, Khan El Khalil market and a hearty Egyptian lunch of salads, pita bread, sauces and grilled chicken with rice. Out tour guide Ebrahim Taye was the absolute best to make our day memorable. He is polite, stylish, well informed, funny, takes great photos - in short everything you need in a friend (more than a tour guide) to give you an unforgettable tour around Cairo. He took us around and educated us about the immense history of Egypt like we are his brother and sister. He would also quiz us in between so that we kept our facts in check! Everyone seemed to know him at all the places we visited which tells so much about how efficient he is with his peers as well as his guests. I would definitely recommend everyone to choose Memphis tours for your trip to Egypt for their meticulously planned itineraries and brilliant support, and insist on Ebrahim as your local friend to take you around! You will go back with the best memories! Big cheers to the team!
- Bhanu R00Travel plannerOur travel planner/agent was Maisara Osama. She was patient as we described all our wants and needs. She tweaked our itinerary several times to meet all our requirements. I recommend her if you plan a trip to Egypt.
- jianweio202300Fantastic, would definitely recommendTook the tour spanning the city of Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. Experience was amazing. Duration was just nice of about 8 days. Accommodation chosen, convenient to attractions. Cleanliness of hotel was alright. Just that the pyramid hotel in Cairo we stayed in was abit old. Cruise and Aswan hotel was fantastic. Transport wise, driver and car was fantastic. With enough space and water is readily available. For guides. Cairo - Shrouk Fluent in English so no problem understanding and is always ready to go the extra mile to impart Knowledge and also help in bargain when purchasing souvenirs. Awesome photographer to help us take Instagram worthy pictures. Aswan, Luxor - Hani Also fluent in English and also always read to go the extra mile. Always asking us how was our stay so as to assist us in elevating our experience. Tells us what to look out for to protect ourselves from street touter. Very knowledge in explaining Egyptian history. Also assisting us on Tipping as its not common in our culture. Tour Manager - Rafaat Very friendly person. Always going the extra mile to elevate our experience in Egypt. Helps plan everything nicely and approachable. Overall the trip was fantastic. Would definitely recommend to go with it.
- leeg95100Excellent company to deal with. The whole experience with Memphis Tours was excellent. The guides were knowledgeable and the pick-ups were always on time. Mostafa who organised the trip for us was extremely helpful and professional. We couldn't have had a better experience.
- amybZ6238JY00Egypt and our little boat family will stay with me forever ❤️I wish there were words which could adequately sum up what a sublime experience the last few days have been for us. Myself and my partner opted for the 4 night/5 day Dahabiya cruise from Luxor to Aswan and I would book it again and again and again. Our tour guide Abdul was an absolute superstar the whole time and a shining credit to Memphis Tours. I cannot thank him enough for his kindness and consideration and all the little touches which made the trip so special and unique, and of course imparting his knowledge and infectious passion for Ancient Egypt and beyond. He had a knack of bringing the figures, gods and temples to life so that we didn't just see, but rather experienced, everything to the absolute fullest; and his captivating narration throughout has made me want to buy every book I can on Egypt! The dahabiya was charm itself and the crew were so warm and attentive, my only complaint about the food is that I wish I could have eaten more at every meal! Thank you so, so much - trip of a lifetime which will stay in our hearts forever x
- alejandrabB8949YU00A wonderful look into the incredible Egyptian past.A friend and me decided to finally visit Egypt and its ancient wonders. From the beginning Memphis Tours was there to provide us the perfect tailored tour, answer our questions every time we contacted them and provided information. Our Senior Tour Consultant; Eman Rashad, was always available and happy to assist. When we arrived in Cairo someone assisted us and helped us with our Visas. The airport can feel a bit overwhelming as the processes are a bit different. Make sure to stick to your Memphis Tour assistant so they can explain the process. Our Tour Manager Mariz was waiting for us once we came out. She was our representative in Cairo and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure we checked in and had everything we needed in the 2 hotels we had in Cairo upon Arrival and on the last day. In Cairo we had most of the times the amazing Walid Special as a driver and we had Mervat as a Tour Guide. She took us to the Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, a great Egyptian restaurant and some specialized bazaars. Mervat was a delight, kind, extremely knowledgeable, a certified Egyptologist, always prepared to give you additional information on everything we saw. It was a great start to our trip! Side Note: We had requested an additional tour stop and chose to enter the great pyramid of Cheops during the tour. Please read more on this before doing so. I am not particulary claustrophobic and this was really hard for me to do. The path becomes very narrow, there is no air, and its a unique strange experience. Also, its quite physically demanding in some parts as you must climb for over 10 min on very narrow steps while crouched. After Cairo we flew to Aswan. Once there we were taken to a new hotel and joined a small group for the coming days. We were 11 and we were so extremely lucky to get an incredible, diverse, fun group! The group then met our Tour guide for the coming days. Ahmed Badawy was the best Tour guide we could have hoped for!. An Egyptologist, history fan, kind, patient person, His love for Egypt came through every time he showed us a piece of his country. We learned so much about its history, its culture, its people. We were so incredibly lucky to have spent time all together enjoying this land. With Ahmed we visited the famous High Dam, the majestic Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk. The next day we all took a long drive to the incredible Abu Simbel. Side Comment: Abu Simbel is quite a long drive (3 1/2 hs each way from Aswan city). And unfortunately you do not get enough time to visit the temple once there because is so far away and you must return at some point. Would be great to plan in in a way you get to spend more time in that beautiful place. Once we returned we all spent 3 days and 3 nights on board of the MS Salacia Cruise. The crew at the Salacia was absolutely amazing. Always helping, always smiling, always making sure you have an excellent time on board. While sailing on the cruise, Ahmed took us to visit Kom Ombo and Edfu which were incredible visits, and the next day we sailed to Luxor where the Cruise docked. For 2 days then we visited the West Bank ( Valley of The Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon) and the next day the East Bank (where we visited the ancient Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple). Luxor is the crown jewel of Egypt. Most archeological finds are in this area and is a beautiful mesmerizing place. Side Comment: When you visit the Valley of the kings, would be useful if Memphis Tours would provide the list of tombs available to visit in advance. With your ticket you are allowed to chose and visit 3 tombs from the free tombs available, but there are also other tombs you can visit for an additional cost. We had asked in advance to see the Tomb of Tutankhamun, but some people in the group did not know this was an option to chose. We also then discovered there were other options. Would be great to know the options when we book so we can decide accordingly. After Luxor the group got separated to continue our our private journeys according to what was booked. We went back to Cairo and flew home the next day. Our Luxor tour Manager Walid Figo assisted all of us. Overall, Egypt is a magical place, full of history and mystery. The people at Memphis Tours does everything in their power to make you feel safe, informed, and that you have a wonderful time. The Guides are not simply tour guides, they breath this rich history and share everything with you. Some final thoughts are, research a bit on the tipping culture. We knew tipping would be a part of our trip, but we did not expect the extent of it. Everything needs to be considered. So when you get a tour, that is all included, do NOT forget to take these additional expenses into account. You must be ready to tip everyone around you. Egypt has lower salaries and everyone depends from these tips. There are great guides on this and how to proceed online. The Vendors at Bazaars might be stressfull for some people not used to Bargaining or haggling. This is just the culture, and my advice is to ask your tour guide how to best face these encounters so you can shop accordingly. Egypt will stay in my heart forever, it was a wonderful experience to discover even though a tiny bit of it. It is so big and full of treasures that I will have to return to keep discovering it.
- Jigar S00Mesmerizing Egypt trip! Definitely coming back to HurghadaMe (and my wife) went to Egypt and booked a 4-day Nile cruise through the agency Memphis, and they offered us a package with cruise on MS Salacia royal suite. The good part: the country is beautiful, with magnificent temples and 5000 years of history ❤️. The tour agency's logistics, transfers, support, and planning are perfect. From the agency, we interacted with Mostafa, and he is a rockstar; he understands your needs, is prompt to respond, and is helpful. While on tour, we were introduced to an Egyptologist, Ahmed. He was very knowledgeable, had lots of details about history, and managed our itinerary and time schedule very well. The bad part: Tipping culture! While we knew about the tipping in advance through multiple posts, it's like everywhere you go, from using the restroom to asking someone for a photo, to the driver, to the chef, to the staff getting down from the hot air balloon, etc., everyone expects tipping. Even if you speak for 5 minutes, the expectation is tipping. When you book a 5-star 🌟experience, the expectation is no push on tipping and putting you in awkward situations, which we did other than the local expectation. Overall, wonderful country; they take tourism seriously and definitely say "yes" to recommending a Memphis tour operator. And it's peaceful (people may be in doubt considering recent conflict) if you plan to come to Egypt.
- tahichihono00Unforgettable Cairo Excursion from Alexandria: Authentic, Safe, and Expertly GuidedOnce in a lifetime experience. They picked us up right from our cruise port in Alexandria and took our family in a private van to Cairo. The meals were authentic and delicious, the tours were exciting and informative, and the shopping was even great. Everything felt safe, and our guides made sure we had a great time. They were also amazing at taking tons of pictures for us at every step of the way. A special thank you to our tour guide, Ahmed Farahat, our driver, Huissen Sayed, and our tour manager, Mustafa Rafat. Thanks for everything!
- 264johnpaulm00A cruise fit for Agatha ChristieI have just finished an incredible trip along the Nile with Memphis tours!! We booked the 4 night / 5 day dahabiya Nile cruise which was just fantastic. The boat was of exceptional quality and the meals onboard were the pinnacle of luxury. My and my partner loved every second of the experience, and felt like the whole trip was bespoke and personalised. Abdul was an incredibly helpful guide who went out of his way to give us advice and information when needed. I would 100% recommend Memphis Tours and a dahabiya cruise to anyone I know. Having a private qualified Egyptologist accompany us on the tour really elevated the experience by allowing us to soak up the history without constantly squinting at sign boards.
- lovableskutch00Trip of a lifetime! When planning our trip to Egypt, we decided that booking with a tour company would be the easiest and safest option. I decided to reach out to Memphis Tours based off of reviews and the fact that they are such a reputable company. Hagar Khalaf reached out to me right away. After asking me what we were interested in, she sent us an action-packed itinerary that fit our timeframe. She was so flexible and made it so easy for us to change whatever we wanted, even up until the week before we left. It really felt like the trip was tailor-made for us. Nasr was our amazing travel manager who helped us every step of the way. He took care of our entire time in Cairo, from getting our visas to checking us into our hotels and flights. When we left Cairo, he made sure we knew who we were meeting once we got off the plane in Aswan. He was in contact with us the entire time and was available anytime we had questions. The two days we spent in Cairo were guided by egyptologist Emad Deif. This was a private tour just for our family and having an expert in he field really elevated our time at the pyramids and museums. We were able to discuss concepts and ideas surrounding the structures and artifacts and had one on one time to ask questions. He was with us every step of the way and really made the first two days of our trip unforgettable. Abo Bakr met us at the Aswan Airport and checked us into our hotel. He was very kind and engaging the whole drive and really made us feel excited about our next adventure. At the hotel we met our guide for the remainder of the trip, Mustafa Darwish. Mustafa was so welcoming and accomodating. Anything we needed he was willing to help with; from needing to visit a pharmacy to replace damaged toiletries to making multiple trips to the atm. He even helped us by explaining when and how much to tip. He was with us for four days and even followed us up to Luxor while we relaxed on our Nile cruise. The first day with Mustafa was only with our family, which helped us to create a bond. The rest of the time was spent with additional families, but we were still a small group compared to the many other tour companies around us. This made it feel like we still had a unique experience and were able to get all of our questions answered. Mustafa even made an effort to spend extra time with our family, further explaining certain concepts when the rest of our group took pictures. This was so helpful in our understanding of the many different temples on our intinerary. Memphis tours really blew us away with this trip. We were very excited to travel with them, but our expectations were greatly exceded. We created new friendships, made lasting memories, and had unforgettable experiences. If we were to travel to the region again, we wouldn't think twice about booking with Memphis. Egypt really made an impact on us and we cant wait to come back!
- Hannah M00Thank you Ahmed!Travelling solo through Egypt can be a bit daunting but my guide Ahmed made the experience so easy for me, treated me like his daughter and offered some amazing stories on the local culture and the land’s history. I joined a group for a little bit of the trip and Ahmed was able to manage us all so well and kept the vibe up the whole trip. He also helped us with shopping and made sure we were getting a good deal on good quality items. Thank you Ahmed! (He’s also a pretty amazing photographer)
- Clifford D00Trip of a lifetime to EgyptOur guide Ahmed was amazing. From explaining the stories behind the Pyramids of Giza to our trip through the Cairo museum. He was thorough yet made it understandable. We never felt uncomfortable and actually quite the opposite. They appreciated our interest in their country and Ahmed made sure we were treated like close friends or family. I would highly recommend this tour and especially our guide Ahmed.
- Enjoy-the-outdoors-500Ahmed Bedawy - excellent EgyptologistWe went on a Nile cruise with our tour guide, Egyptologist, Ahmed Bedawy. In regard to Ahmed - he was excellent! He is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions that we had. He is able to relate complex historical information in a way that was easy to understand. He also had a nice sense of humour and made this a fun and enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend Ahmed for your Egyptian journey.
- dzishn00Dream of Egypt come trueWe went on a family trip to Egypt, and Memphis Tours really made the whole experience seamless and wonderful. Our family has a mix of Spanish and English speakers, and Memphis Tours was able to organize multi-language guides for us so everyone could benefit from the explanations. In Cairo, we had two guides - Reem is the one who led the English peaking portion, and she was a knowledgable guide and a great storyteller. Everything she explained to us, especially in the Egypt Museum, really prepared us to understand better and enjoy more the experiences later on in our Nile cruise. On the Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, we had the pleasure of being led by Juan (Yehia El Gezawy), who spoke both Spanish and English with our group. His welcoming demeanor and charm was only surpassed by his knowledge of Egyptology, and once again a remarkable ability for storytelling. In between, Memphis Tours was incredibly well organized, and we well met in person and guided smoothly through every segment of our multi-part trip. It's been our dream to go to Egypt for sometime, and thanks to our guides, our expectations were not just met but vastly surpassed. This trip will truly be forever in our memory and we couldn't recommend it more.

We can’t say enough about our wonderful 3-day visit to Cairo/Alexandria with Memphis Tours. Marwa did an excellent job providing tour options and coordinating logistics. We spent one day visiting pyramids, one day touring Cairo and one day in Alexandria. We also enjoyed a Nile dinner cruise. We were met at our hotel the first day by Amgd, the tour manager, and Imed, our guide. Both are very personable and professional. Imed and our amazing driver, Magdy, managed our daily tours and could not have been more courteous, responsive and knowledgeable. We learned so much and felt very well taken care of. There was not one question that Imed didn’t have the answer for and Magdy’s driving skills are beyond impressive. Taking us to the papyrus and jewelry stores were thoughtful gestures that helped us get wonderful mementos of our trip. All in all, I would highly recommend the Memphis Tours team for an amazing and perfectly coordinated holiday in Egypt.

I had an amazing tour during a 14 hour layover!! Mahmoud Maged made my entire day adventurous, informative, and very fun!!! He’s the best person to be with at the Museum because he’s so incredibly knowledgeable about Egypt and it’s history. The museum is fabulous and he really made it special. The pyramids are just awesome - be sure to do the camel ride to see them from a different vantage point. If you have time, the laser and light show at the pyramids is really good and so very cool. Everyone at Memphis Tours was exceptionally attentive and took very good care of me all day. I felt very safe. Ahmed Osama met me inside the airport and helped me get a visa and navigate through the airport. He also brought me back to the airport at the end of the day and stayed with me through security. He was a delight as was the driver Badr. They were so friendly and accommodating, again making my tour exceptional. I would use Memphis anytime!!

I really liked the monuments and the ancient history of Egypt. Country to go, mandatorily, on tour, I do not recommend going on your own.
