I have been to 75+ countries and tend to have moderated expectations in developing countries. Our tour with Samir and his team was one of the best tour experiences I've ever had *anywhere*. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were whisked quickly through immigration with a pre-purchased visa on arrival. We were treated like royalty every day throughout our trip. For our days in Cairo and Alexandria, we had Mohamed as our tour guide who was *absolutely phenomenal*. He's probably the best tour guide I've ever had anywhere in the world: extremely personable & friendly, deeply knowledgable about all aspects of Egyptian history, and a command of English that I have never seen in someone who has never lived in an English-speaking country. He knew all the tricks to give us a fantastic experience in Egypt. We spent a few days in Aswan and Luxor, and there had guides Peter & Bessem who were also excellent, with an extremely thorough understanding of history. We felt well taken care of all over, and were largely insulated from the hassles & touts Egypt is infamous for (for this reason I *highly* recommend that you book a private tour). On returning to Cairo, the owner of the company (Samir) personally picked us up from the airport (despite it being late at night on a weekend) and took us to dinner at a very local grilled meats restaurant with incredible food. Samir is deeply passionate about what he does and treats all of his guests like royalty. You can really sense his passion for Egypt and showing foreigners the highlights of his country - he's not out to make a quick buck. Also special shout-out to Milad, who picked us up from the airport originally and made us feel comfortable right away. He was also our driver on our last day, with Mohamed as our guide, and it was a perfect send-off to spend time with both of these fantastic gentlemen. If you're evaluating different tour companies for Egypt (as I was once was), just stop: book with Over Egypt Tours and I guarantee you will not regret it. I say this as someone who has done dozens of these and has fairly high standards. My expectations were vastly exceeded, and I look forward to recommending Over Egypt Tours to my friends interested in coming to Egypt. The tour was perfectly organised in all little details, from the hotel pickup to its conclusion. Easy to book and a smooth day where everything was taken care of. Pickup on time in a modern bus and a safe through the traffic. Engaging and very helpful tour guide, made the whole group enjoy the experience. Easy to get all the tickets needed and listened to the groups wishes. Overall a great way to experience the pyramids and the National Museum!

Where do I begin except to say this was the best tour my wife and I have ever been on. We felt like VIP client’s from the moment we contacted them. They sent us 2 personalized itineraries as we had to get back sooner than we thought. Once our itinerary was confirmed is where the Rock Star treatment came in. From the moment we stepped off the plane and arrived in customs all we had to do was show up. A representative breezed us through customs and got us to our driver Samir without a hitch. He got us to our hotel so we could rest and relax after our long flight from Tampa, Florida USA as our tour would begin on the following day. We had a driver and tour guide every day which were all phenomenal. The knowledge and hospitality of Over Egypt Tours really shined while we were in their care. Samir and Milad were always checking in either directly with us or with our guides to confirm everything was running smooth and if there were an issue I have utmost confidence it would have been professionally handled. We started in Cairo and visited the usual tourist spots of the Pyramids, Sphinx, Museum of History as well as the space where the Holy Family stayed while in exile and where the Baby Moses was found. We then visited Alexandria which I knew nothing about and learned so much. From there we flew to Luxor to begin our 4 day Nile cruise to Aswan with stops at Temples that were so impressive. It’s so hard to imagine how they were built without modern technology. On our last day we did run into an issue as it was very windy and flights were running 2-4 hours behind schedule so we did have to cut short our tour on the last day. We got a hold of Milad and he was able to change our flight to an earlier one as we had to be in Cairo to catch our flight back home. All of this went off without a hitch and we had such a wonderful time. I can’t recommend Over Egypt Tours enough and when we go back we will definitely be calling upon them to show us around.
