The best private guide in Egypt
The Heart of KMT planned a wonderful 2 week trip for my wife and I and a couple with whom we are great friends. This was a private tour for the four of us. We were escorted to all the important sites that see by a driver and a guide who is a registered Egyptologist. Our guide, Shrouk Mamdouh, was beyond excellent. Not only was Shrouk very knowledgable, she was also very friendly and caring. From the start, she made us feel like we were longtime friends. She answered every question we asked and did not rush us at all. Wherever we were, she let us take as much or as little time as we wanted. If we were not very interested in a place, she would suggest another that we might find more to our liking. Shrouk was also very knowledgable about the history of all periods of Egyptian civilization, and she engaged us in wonderful, informative and enjoyable discussions about the cultures and religions of ancient and modern Egypt. My wife and I have hired private guides on trips before, but we have never had a guide like Shrouk. I recommend her highly. If you are looking for a guide for a day or a few weeks, you will find none better than Shrouk Mamdouh.

The Heart of kmt guided tour a truly unforgettable experience.
Spent an amazing day at The Egyptian Museum. Sharouk was a very friendly & engaging lady. As a highly educated Egyptologist Sharouk has a deep affinity for her country's amazing history & this truly shows throughout the tour. I was so impressed by the extensive history of the Egyptian culture that was explained to me prior to entering the museum itself. Having studied Classical Civilisations myself I was absolutely delighted to have Sharouk's input & to hear the history of Egypt from their own personal perspective.

      An Amazing Guide
Shrouk was my guide for the pyramids as well as many days across Egypt, and I must say that I am so glad I had her! She was extremely knowledgeable about ancient history as well as being open to questions. Shrouk went the extra mile helping with finding the best places for photos without crowds, was more than happy to help with any questions and issues and took us to the best local food spots, local sights and scenes, and helped us learn about the local culture. As soon as she learned that we liked falafel she made it her mission to get us to try as many different shops’ falafel as possible! She was professional but also treated us like companions rather than just tourists. I made a great friend in Shrouk and could not have asked for a better guide.

      Amazing tour! Amazing guide!
Shrouk Mamdouh, my guide for this tour, was very knowledgeable about Ancient Egypt's history. Her English was clear and perfect. Her explanation about the pyramids, the Tombs, the sphinx, the temples and Egypt's history was to the point and did not leave much unanswered. She was open to questions and discussions about Ancient Egypt, Islam and Egypt's current affairs. She was very vocal and passionate about protecting the environment, animal welfare and female empowerment/ gender equality. Even more surprising, she was our guide during Ramadan. So even though it was summer and the temperature was hitting a high of 40+ degrees Celsius, she did not eat and did not drink from sunrise to sunset. Clearly, she was dedicated to her work as a guide and at the same time, devoted to her religious beliefs. I definitely and strongly recommend her as a guide for Cairo and or Egypt. If you do book a tour with her, don't forget to ask her about the local food. She can advise and recommend regarding vegetarian options Also, don't forget to learn a few Arabic words from her. She can advise you regarding a few useful ones when dealing with street traders (for example - la shukraan). ʾIn shāʾ Allāh,I will ve her as a guide again next time I am in Egypt.

Shrouk is an amazing tour guide!!
I absolutely loved my tour with Shrouk. Her knowledge, sense of humour and musical voice painted a picture for me while staring at he incredible sites we visited and brought everything to life. We visited the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara, as well as the Valley of the Kings, Luxor and Karnak Temple. And lots of other sites along the way. This were by far so much more better experienced with a experience tour guide like Shrouk, to have stunning little details pointed out and explained files in the gaps and brings the whole experience together, not just to say that you have seen it, but to truly experience it with the history behind it. I highly recommend Shrouk as a tour guide, it will make your holiday in Egypt, not just a holiday, but a lifetime experience you will never forget.
